UNCLE STUMPY'S STUMP BEE GONE & TREE SERVICE

It went well. He was very conscientious of the stump that had to be deeper. He also got the small stump out without my having to remove my edging or damaging any of my flowers. They cleaned up my yard making sure there were not any big chunks of wood left in my grass. My lawn mower appreciates that. The other stump and lilac bush were a bit easier to remove. I thought the price was very reasonable.

I had contacted him about grinding a stump and maybe some tree work. Price seemed reasonable and he had done 2 stumps for me before so I opted for the tree work also. While they were here doing the work, I also asked about hedge trimming and they did that also and before they left. I was very happy with all the results and would recommend them.

The owner was very prompt about returning my call, and coming to the house to work up an estimate. The estimate was done in a matter of minutes, and came in a lot lower than I expected. He explained where I stood on the waiting list, but did say that he would get to my yard as soon as possible. The weather helped, so they were able to get to my yard in a very reasonable time. The work was started and completed while I was at work. I was very pleased to get home and see my fences again. I have some more work to be done with the tree that the large limb broke off of, and I will have Uncle Stumpy come back and take care of it. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing yard clean up or tree service.

We have used Mike 3x now, all with solid results. Prompt, reasonable prices, knowledgeable and as professional as a big, sweaty guys in overalls can be!

Mike and his crew did a great job. He grinded two fairly large tree stumps and gave me a quote to trim about a dozen major trees and remove a small pine tree and stump. He took good notes on all the trimming to be done, and his crew returned as scheduled and did a great job on the quoted work. He left the lawn, patio, and driveway cleaner than it was before the trimming, and gave me some good advice on landscaping the area where the stumps were removed. I highly recommend Uncle Stumpy's.

All was done on time and thoroughly . I was not at home when they came, so it was great to see that the job was done dependably and on time. The price was fair and I will definitely use them again

TRIMMED OUR PEAR TREE AND SHAPED. ALSO REMOVED A PILE OF BRANCHES FROM LIMBS I HAD TRIMMED OFF THE TREE LAST YEAR. DID A GREAT JOB WITH NO DAMAGE TO MY PROPERTY OR LAWN. UNCLE STUMPY WAS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE AT 1155.00. OTHER QUOTES WERE FROM 2235-3000. DEFINITELY GIVE THEM A CALL FOR QUOTES FOR TREE REMOVAL OR TRIMMING. Others have declined to remove these stumps because they were difficult to access. Mike was quick to give a quote and to provide the service and a VERY reasonable price.

Uncle Stumpy and crew did an awesome job. They arrived at 8:00 and worked nonstop until 4:00. They fully trimmed all the trees, filled in stump hole, raked the entire yard, and removed all debris. Cut and left firewood. They even trimmed 1 border tree for free.

It went well. They were professional, true to their quote, knowledgeable and timely.

My initial call was returned the same day which I did not expect because it was a weekend. We made an appointment for an estimate that was performed on October 27. The actual service date was contingent on the rain expected the next week. I was called and asked if it were ok for the service to be performaed on November 3, beacause more rain was expected the next week. Service was performed and the tree looks great and there are no more dead hanging unsightly limbs. I so appreciate the professionalism and courteous behavior of this company. Would definitely recommend this company.

Trimmed back and shaped a very large Weeping Mulberry tree. Removed 4 bushes along the foundation, removed a large area of Ivy that had become overgrown, trimmed and shaped 7 landscaping bushes. Cleaned up and removed all debris from work areas and did a very thorough job.

Mr. Mitchell and his crew were wonderful to work with. He arrived on the day and at the time he said they would come. One gentleman climbed up into the trees to cut the limbs down. Fascinating to watch! The rest of the crew on the ground constantly worked cleaning the brush and cut usable wood into firewood. Throughout the job the brush was pulled up and put into the truck. The crew never stopped working for 81/2 hours. At the end of the day, they swept, brushed, blew, and picked up by hand all leaves and sticks that remained. Mr. Mitchell explained during the estimate that his crew has been with him for many years. That was obvious in the way they worked together. They did not play any music, never griped or complained or took a break. I will definitely hire Mr. Mitchell's company again as well as recommend him to anyone who needs a tree service.

This was wonderful. Mr. Mitchell came out and gave me an estimate for the tree trimming then suggested the grinding down of 6 stumps. I had planned on a certain amount and the stumps took it higher than I wanted to pay and I told him my limit. He cut the price to within a range I felt was definitely reasonable. They came out less than a week later and the job was done when I got home. I couldn't believe my eyes. It looked so good it felt like I was looking as someone else's backyard. They accessed the job to be done quickly and provided a great price quote. We agreed on the price and Uncle Stumpy said they would be back to complete the job 3 days later (or 4, I don't remember) early in the morning. They showed up on time and did a terrific job. There was a lot of growth of weeds, bushes and vines all along a chain link fence and surrounding the house foundation. They removed them completely and ground-out the roots of the bushes and trees so well that it looks like a fresh garden was just planted. They worked tirelessly on a very hot day, completing in a few hours what I could imaging would take a full day or more to complete. They even endured being attacked by a surprise swarm of ground hornets. They also removed lower limbs from several trees and cleaned them up nicely. After all was completed, they raked the yard to remove all debris. I will definitely use them again and can't say enough about the quality job they did...all at a unbelievable price.

Before any work was ever done, when we were calling several potential contractors to get an estimate on the work -- Uncle Stumpy talked to us on the phone. He made an appointment with us to come out later that same day. I don't think he is a certified arborist, but due to his extensive career in tree trimming, he really knew his stuff. He quoted us a very fair price on the removal of our 3 trees. The work included clean-up and the grinding out of the tree stumps. We asked him about a senior discount -- he doesn't discount for seniors, but he did waive his fuel surcharge, since we are Angie's List members. The work was then scheduled for later the same week, but due to rain, he was unable to come out. Mr. Mitchell kept in touch with us by telephone to tell us when to expect him. He told us that we didn't actually have to be home at the time of the work, and that we could always mail him the check. I see on his estimate sheet that he does accept charge cards. When the work day finally rolled around, he and his crew quickly dispatched the 3 trees. All of the mess was cleaned up. Mr. Mitchell does not use a wood chipper -- instead, he has a big truck with a claw assembly attached. The claw hoisted the big hunks of wood and deposited them in the back of the truck. I will definitely be calling him for any future tree work, and I will definitely recommend him to anyone else who needs to have work done on trees.

The crew quickly and efficiently removed two large multi-trunk willows and a mutli-trunk apple tree from tight spots, cleaned up the debris and ground up the stumps. All of the heavy equipment stayed on the street.

After having trouble getting other tree companies to show up, I looked on Angie's List and saw that Uncle Stumpy had good reviews. I called him up and he showed up the same day to give me a free estimate. He gave me the price, date, and time frame in which the work would be done. He showed up on time and completed the work for the price I was quoted. Thank you Angie's List and thank you Uncle Stumpy.

Was able to get an appointment a few days after calling for a free estimate. Owner showed up on time and gave a competitive bid and scheduled the work for a week later. Tree almost twice as tall as my 2 story house. Large lot with no vehicle access to back corner, so all logs had to be taken out on a hand truck to the street. We have a large garden area surrounding the tree that I thought would be destroyed, but they were somehow able to do minimal damage. Exceptional accuracy. 5 or 6 guys working 4 or 5 hours to get the job done. Even took a considerable amount of brush that I had laying around that wasn't part of the job. Job well done.

They cleaned up so well it looked like someone came by and stole the trees whole. I didn't request that grind the stump. They left a nice clean, low cut.

I had called and left a message, saying I needed a quote on removing two trees. Within a half-hour, I received a phone call back. Within another hour, Archie came over to the house and wrote me up a quote. I had used this company about 7 years ago to grind some stumps and I had been impresses with both their work and the price. So I gave the go-ahead right away. Archie came out the next day, with a three man crew. He was about an hour later than he originally estimated, but that didn't matter to me, because I didn't have to BE here for theme to do the job. Within 2 hours, they were done. The trees. were down. All the wood and branches were in their truck. The stumps had been ground-down and everything had been swept up. (My trees bordered our driveway.) They were very thorough.

On March 18, 2013, I called Uncle Stumpy's after seeing good reviews in Angie's List. I made an appointment for Mike Mitchell to come to my house the next day to provide an estimate for removing numerous overgrown shrubs, grinding the stumps, and hauling away the debris and cleaning up afterward. On March 19, 2013, Mike showed up on time (he called first to let me know he was on his way) and gave what I felt was a very reasonable estimate for the work I wanted done ($539.00). I didn't feel it was necessary to get any other estimates. We scheduled the work for March 26, 2013, but due to snow we rescheduled for the following week (April 2, 2013). On April 2, the crew showed up on time (in fact a few minutes early). After confirming exactly what I wanted done, they began working. In less than two hours, the shrubs were all cut down and the stumps ground. The crew remained another half hour or so cleaning up. At no extra charge, they carted off a limb and some old wood and also pulled ivy off my house. Mike and crew were reliable, thorough, professional, and friendly -- a real pleasure to work with. I will attach some "before" photos to this review to show the amount of shrubbery that was removed. Unfortunately, I am unable at this time to also provide "after" photos. (My computer is not allowing me to download from my camera.)

The person who worked with us did everything he said he is going to do. Their services, in general, was very fine and there were no leaves left behind.
