 + -1 moreThe guys were good about a B+ Overall. They took one look at my furnace and told me they weren't certified to work on my older furnace. They said it was a type of furnace that wasn't made anymore and should really be replaced. I told them check it out for leaks, clean and tune up what they could. Then check it for carbon monoxide leaks. Etc. They did fine, but obviously not as well as it could been if they were certified on my particular type of furnace. They mentioned that it looked like it was still running well, no need to replace it yet. Only downside was that even though they wore booties on their shoes, they still tracked in debris from outside.
Description of Work: Furnace Tune- up apart of the big deal.

 + -1 moreThings went great! Rob (technician) tested the suspected bad motor, found nothing wrong with it. He was very descriptive and informative in showing me what was probably found wrong (a busted plastic cover). He then commenced to perform the furnace check up. He found that the gas coming in was a little lower than it should be, so he adjusted the valve, so that it was at the correct rate. Rob described everything to me very clearly. He even put some "all weather" PVC glue on one of the exhaust pipe joints tat had a small drip for me. He also discovered that the furnace's humidifier wasn't working properly, and after several minutes of troubleshooting he informed me that the solenoid was most likely bad. Something I will replace myself... Rob then tested the area for any possible natural gas leaks, and went on his way! Thanks again, for a great service.
Description of Work: The technician arrived right on time, as scheduled. He was there to check a motor that a "home inspector" had rated non functional and to do a seasonal check up.

 + -1 moreI was able to get an appointment within a week and the owner, Travis, was the one who serviced me. Travis arrived promptly and was very thorough in his inspection. I take interest in these kinds of things so I watched him and asked questions. He didn't seem to mind and provided me with a wealth of information. I had one capacitor that was still okay but read low on testing and would have to be replaced fairly soon, so I asked Travis to go ahead and replace it. After the inspection I felt good about my furnace, both in its operation and safety. My overall experience with Neece Heating & Cooling was very positive and I plan to contact them for all of my heating and cooling needs in the future. I highly recommend them!

 + -1 moreThey showed up about a hour late, because a previous job went longer that expected. Thats understandable but a heads up would have been nice. Two technicians started right away by dismantling some parts including a circuit board and the blower fan. They cleaned the fan which had a lot of dirt in it. They preformed a number of test which included a carbon monoxide test. They did more during this tune-up than other companies did and for about half the cost. Overall I was very impressed and happy with their work.

 + -1 moreThe first day I called, they were at my house within 20 minutes of my call to give me an estimate for the pipe capping. The estimate was fair, and I had also noticed they had a coupon here on Angie's List for $49 for a furnace cleaning and inspection (can't beat that), so I bought the coupon and called them back to set up a time to do the work. They were able to come back in just a week, despite the sudden cold snap. They showed up right when they were supposed to and immediately set to work. There were 2 guys, so one went to work on the roof while the other went down to the furnace. They were done in no time at all which was great since I had tried to schedule this during my lunch hour from work. Also, everyone I dealt with, from the people on the phone to the guys that came to my house, were very friendly and courteous. I was very impressed and would definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: I had two jobs done today. The first was to clean and inspect my gas furnace. The second was to have the chimney pipe up on the roof capped.

 + -1 moreWhen they arrived, two servicemen came (Chad and Steve, I believe), and they were both extremely nice gentleman. They were polite, professional, friendly, and very nice to our dogs as well. :) They did a good job working on our furnace, replaced our filter for us (which we always have a hard time getting in) and got it working again (by this point, the weather had warmed up, so it wasn't in urgent need of repair). However, i think it was the next day, the next day the weather became much colder, and our furnace wasn't working. I called them back, and they came out straight away. One of the original servicemen returned, and found that one of our drainage pipes were clogged. He took it apart, flushed it, and it worked perfectly afterward! :) I was prepared to pay him, but when I offered, he said that there was no charge since they should have checked it when they did the original maintenance (but did not know if they could detach the pipe); he was both apologetic and friendly, and our furnace has worked wonderfully ever since! :) We couldn't be happier both with the work and with their customer service! :)

Description of Work: Neece Heating and Cooling Technician, Travis, arrived at the house and put covers over his shoes to protect my rugs and floors. He thoroughly cleaned, oiled, and tested my 25 year old furnace for performance and CO leaks. As my furnace is old but still in good shape, he wanted to check the CO levels both going up the flue (which is where any CO is supposed to be released) and at the vents within the house. He also tested my home CO detector...he found out that it did not function any longer and advised me to invest in a new one. Travis was very polite and professional.
