Mike came out to and helped us select the best kind of wood for us and our two dogs. He gave us a bid which we excepted. Mike was very good about coordinating with the cabinet maker for a time when he could come in and install the floor. He finished in the time frame that he said he would. It came our beautiful. The color looks great with the cabinets. Very nice work.

This was my second time to use Mike Owens and All American Hardwood Floors. Again, as expected, the results are exceptional and unsurpassed. If you want the job done right the first time by a professional...use Mike.

Mike was so easy to work with, very professional, honest and a skilled craftsman. Mike installed floors in the living/dining room as well as the powder room. He stripped, sanded and stained the existing floor in the kitchen to match the new floors. My floors are gorgeous, the quality of his workmanship is outstanding. It went beautifully! Mike, the owner of All American, started work within days of our first conversation- I was in a hurry as we are moving into this house soon and the work needed to be done quickly. He removed the old finish, got the floor in beautiful condition, and then put new finish on. The floor is gorgeous- Mike paid close attention to detail and I couldn't be happier with the result! I have no complaints- Mike was professional, reliable, conscientious and a hard worker.

I wish I could post the before/after photos as the work Mike did was incredible. The floor and stair treads were in poor condition since carpet had been installed multiple times over the years. They look better than new, with some character, since the original oak was of such high quality and Mike spent the time to repair the numerous nail/staple holes. Mike took the time to significantly reduce the squeaking. He also made a custom threshold between the hallway and marble tile bathroom that is perfectly aligned. He used one coat of oil based sealer and applied two top coats of two part water based (highly recommended). The total time from beginning to end was 48 hours since the water based product drying time was reduced. Mike was easy to work with, very flexible on dates, punctual and communicated expectations well. I have already made two referrals and would use him again.

The whole experience was excellent for us. Mike impressed us from the first visit by being friendly and completely at ease with our very large and somewhat exuberant dogs. Pet owners out there who have work done within their homes know that this really can't be overstated. Workmen uncomfortable with the household animals can make the experience very nerve wracking for all involved. On a professional level Mike was excellent, he came out and discussed with us in detail the process he would be using for repairing and restoring the hardwood floor and his quote was in-line with others we had received and lower than some. We had planned a vacation upcoming and Mike was very helpful in scheduling the work for the week we would be away so as to minimize the disturbance for our family and pets. He kept in good contact with us while we were away, giving us updates on the work and even sending along pictures of the progress. The specific stain he used was matched to a piece of furniture we have in the room and was very nicely done. Mike went out of his way to find replacement pieces for the damaged sections of the parque floor which were of an older, unusual size and managed to match them exactly. Overall we couldn't be happier with the quality of the work done or the with the excellent and friendly customer service Mike provided. We plan to have the carpets removed and underlying hardwood restored in other rooms within the next year or so and definitely plan to use Mike's company for this work as well.

I was in the process of buying a 91 year old house and wanted all of the wood floors refinished before I moved in. I began calling companies about two weeks before I closed on the house. Mike returned my call promptly and volunteered to work with my realtor and the selling agent to set up a time to see the property since I didn't yet have possession of the house. I really appreciated that he worked directly with the realtors - I didn't even have to be there! I selected Mike for the job because he was so helpful, his bid was lower than I expected and he was available to start work as soon as I needed him. Working with Mike was great. I was interested in using a water-based finish and he was helpful in discussing the differences between the oil-based and water-based finishes and he was also patient with me while I decided between a natural and stained finish. At the outset of the project, John (member of Mike's team) noticed a sagging section of one of the bedrooms and pointed it out as likely termite damage. Sure enough, when they pulled up the boards we saw that the termites had destroyed about 4 feet of the floor joist. Luckily, Mike was able to find some boards that matched mine and his team repaired the floor joist and patched the floor. Unless you know to look, you can hardly tell the difference between the old and new floor. The job took about a week and a half to complete. I checked in most days and Mike's team was always hard at work. It's a messy process, but they worked as cleanly as possible and were great about telling me how things were going. Once it was all done, the floors looked great! I did have to do some dusting (which I expected - no such thing as truly dust-free sanding) and the trim will need to be repainted but that's not a big deal since I'm planning to paint everything anyway and once again it was something I expected. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I definitely feel that I got a great value for my money. I'll be sure to use Mike again if the opportunity presents itself and will recommend him highly to others.

Mike's schedule was a bit challenged, as was ours as we had a renter moving in 2 days earlier than anticipated. MIke was originally due to start our job on Monday but due to another job running long, he was delayed until Tues. His attention to detail and diligence in the repair portion of the job was outstanding. He returned on day two to see how the stain was taking on the repaired portion and did meticulous handwork to feather in the stain so that the repair matched the original floor. The overall floor polish/recoat was completed rather painlessly, made easier by the fact that the house was empty awaiting the new renters. Mike and Team did move some remaining pieces of furniture and took great care with those pieces. Finished product is fantastic!

Mike and his crew were excellent through the entire process. They did a fantastic job making the floor seamless between the existing and new areas. The water based urethane looks great, is very durable, and didn't stink up the house at all. We are very happy with our new floors and plan to recommend them to our friends and family.

It went great. He was professoional over the phone and showed up on time. He did more on his own than most people would have done. His pricing was very fair. The floor was in tough shape but he did a really good job. I would definitely use him again.

Michael Owens was very polite when he returned my call. He worked me into his schedule so that we could finish the sale of our home. He did and excellent job and the floor looks beautiful. He was honest about what he could and couldn't do to the floor. He left it so neat that you wouldn't even know that he had been here. Thank you!

He was on time for all scheduled appointments and was a gentleman in his interactions with myself and the family. His associates conducted themselves likewise. This was my second time using All American Hardwood Floors and I was just as pleased with the service and the finished product the second time as I was the first time. Mike and his crew were on time and on budget. They did a great job of cleaning up and making sure that everything was in good condition when they left. I would highly recommend Mike and All American Hardwood Floors.

The owner is Michael Owen. He refinished the wooden floor in our great room. He did a wonderful job. It really looks nice. We came to know of them from another provider. My husband was the one who mostly dealt with Michael. I talked to him over the phone and he got the work done when he was supposed to. My husband said he was very pleasant. We were very happy with everything.

Quality was fairly good. Matched the existing wood extremely well. Smell of the finish was terrible...advise going with the organic option on the finish unless you are going to be out of the house for a week.

Mike was very prompt in reponding to my initial request for an estimate and in delivering the services. The floor was 80 years old and not in great shape. He replaced several boards, was able to sand out several stains and dealt with a very uneven surface. The floors are beautiful, look brand new. You can't tell the replaced boards from the original ones. About halfway through the job I decided to refinish the floors in one more room and he was able to handle that very well and very quickly.

Mr. Owens was not a coat and tie salesman but a professional craftsman who loves his work. He was also friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest. He answered all my novice questions carefully and completely, arrived on time, finished the work on time, and took care of our house like his own.

It went great. Mike was timely and helpful. He overestimated the job, at first. I was actually writing him a check for the original amount when he stopped me and said, ''Oh, wait. I actually over-quoted you. It's $1090 not $1190.'' How many subcontractors have you met that would say that when you already have your pen in your hand? Mike's a great guy. He's honest and professional and our floors look amazing. He wasn't the lowest price we were quoted, but he did a great job and I couldn't feel better about the end product we received. For what it's worth, the one lower quote we received was a guy who showed up 30 minutes late to the appointment to deliver his estimate and then complained about how he was in a hurry because he had somewhere to be.

Overall a great experience. It took two days to sand the existing floors and replace the boards that needed replacing - due to termites. We moved out of the house for three days as they applied the finish. They covered the doors into the other parts of the house and cleaned up the house after they were done.
