Description of Work: We have 15 country acres, recently purchased, including a very large yard. The MANY trees were neglected and overgrown, some were dead, and some were down! We knew that this was a HUGE job and were prepared for a hefty price tag (which, thanks to Stoykos, was actually totally fair and manageable). Stoykos cleared our fence line of downed and overgrown trees, removed trees that were dead and down due to recent storms, trimmed, thinned and lifted, and cleared branches from the way of power lines and the roof of our garage and gutters. They cleaned everything up, down to raking the property for the smallest sticks.

Description of Work: I called Stoyko to get a quote on having trees removed from my property line and two large hedge trees that were dying and falling over cut down. The rep from Stoyko came to my property and looked at the trees involved and explained the process. I just wanted the trees cut down and my husband and I were going to cut the trees up on our own. I was very impressed with the knowledge of the employee and the information he provided to me free of charge. He also spoke with me for another 1/2 hour regarding other trees on my property that may need care in the future. A pear tree in particular was discussed that needs thinning he said, to save it from potentially breaking from the wind not being able to flow through during our high wind storms in this area; as many pear trees don't make it through these types of storms or ice storms. I did not use this company at the time because the cost seemed a bit high for the trees just being cut down and leaving us to do the rest and we have other home projects planned. I would use this company in the future for tree care as they seem to be very knowledgeable on the subject and extremely helpful regardless of not making money on this particular visit. I would recommend them to my family and friends who are looking for tree service.

Description of Work: Cleaned out feeders & some trimming of 4 trees. River birch, 2 sugar maples, & pear. No really large branches needed removed, . Just clean out & shape up, but they really needed it some maintenance TLC - especially the birch. it had feeders everywhere. The shape of the pear wasn't bad, but it had lots of feeders inside , and we all know how fragile those pears are and anything we can do to prevent losing a mature pear to a storm or the elements is worth a little care. I thought the sugar maples just needed "uplifted" I think is the term (branches were growing too low) but he said they also wanted to climb into the tree to clean it out and they sure did. It will be much easier to mow under now! They all look much better now. And we feel much better having this off of our to-do list!

Description of Work: We had ten trees trimmed in the front and back. Half of the trees required a trimmer to be harnassed in the tree (height and amount of deadwood up high). They allocated enough time for a half day job and got all the trees trimmed and cleaned up in less than three hours. There was five workers and they were either in a tree, cutting from the ground, dragging limbs to the truck or chipping. No one was just standing around and talking. I think they doubled the crew to get it done faster, regardless it was done well and they cleaned up after themselves quite well. Another reason I would hire them again is after it is all said and done and they want their check you walk around and talk about the work they did. It is the last chance you get to get the work done right. Every group I have used in the past has multiple trees that need additional clean-up and they usually argue about the "look" or the "shape," lack of shade if you remove a limb etc. Stoyko didn't argue on either of the two trees I thought needed additional work and it was literally a small limb on both trees that aesthetically bothered me. They jumped right in and got it done without arguing. Two thumbs up.

Description of Work: Lifting and trimming and removing dead limbs from 4 trees. Two elm trees in front had some storm damage and dead limbs which were removed. Lower limbs were removed to give the trees a better look and allow mowing, etc. underneath. Magnolia tree on side of house had dead limbs and limbs hanging too low which were removed. Mountain ash in backyard had dead limbs and a limb hanging over the power line which were removed. Stoyko workers were efficient and able and, despite the extremely hot temperatures, they worked quickly and cleaned up the area afterwards. Since they were already working in the area they were able to give us a great price for the work they did and were are quite satisfied with our experience with this company. We would not hesitate to recommend them.
