Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

First of all, Roto-Rooter was the ONLY plumber I call who answered the telephone. They scheduled an appointment timeframe for me later the same day. The plumber was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He fixed the issue promptly, and offered to send my information to their water restoration people. Thanks for the great service! 24-hours later, and I still haven't received return call from the other 2 plumbers that I left messages for. The water restoration is underway, and so far everything has been very professional and satisfactory. I will submit a review on the water restoration services separately.

I called requesting an estimate for installation of two Aquasana filter systems for my house. One system is a whole house filter to be installed on the main water line in my basement, and the other system is a reverse osmosis filter to be installed under my kitchen sink, through the cabinet and floor, and into my basement. My basement is unfinished and provides easy, direct access to the installation sites. I also pre-purchased from the manufacturer, a professional installation kit to go with the whole house filter. I phoned on 7/5/2016, and Keith came to my home on 7/5/2016 to provide an estimate. The estimate for the work to be done was $1150.00, or $244 for the first hour of work, and $122 for each hour after the first. I went with another provider who seemed more knowledgeable about the filter's installation requirements, and at a lower cost.

The crew did everything they could have done, working non-stop & very professional. Every step they would explain what was happening & how it would work. There were no surprises except how major the job turned out to be. Check with your ins provider to see if coverage is available for sewer damage - ours covered almost all costs. I have told all my neighbors of the great service we received from this Roto-Rooter location.

He did a good job but he charged me about $200. The dispatcher called him when he was here and his phone was on speaker. The dispatcher told him to charge me as much as he can. When he got off the phone, I asked him if it were true and he did not deny it. The technician came drove all the way from St. Louis. Apparently the dispatcher asks if anyone wants a job and whoever is interested takes it. He did a good job. He was not very prompt and was unprofessional.

The gentleman, Joe, was very professional and pointed out some issues that I will need to fix later. He was very kindly.

I called this company on a Monday morning at 6:30 AM - we have tree roots that occasionally get in the sewer line. The dispatcher said they would arrive between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM and would call 30 minutes before coming. They called twice , 10:06AM and 2:29 PM both times to tell me they didn't have "a man free" to come to my house yet. Finally at 4:30 PM I called another company, they arrived within 1 hour. It turns out I had used this other company over 7 years ago, on a labor day weekend actually, (we hadn't had a problem since then until now) and they still had my information on file. I WON'T call or recommend Roto-Rooter again - seems they have all the business they can handle...so they don't need mine!

I contacted Roto-Rooter after accessing their website via Angie's List as we had sewage backing up from our basement main drain. No better day than Memorial Day to be dealing with this kind of problem! Happily, the website stated there was no extra charge for weekend or holiday work! The woman I spoke with on the telephone was very professional and asked if we had standing water in the basement. When I told her we did, she asked if we also wanted help clearing and cleaning up the mess! Thankfully the situation wasn't that bad, but I was impressed they also offered those kinds of services. Then I was delighted and impressed again when she told me the service technician would be there within the hour. Lets remember THIS IS MEMORIAL DAY TOO! About 40 minutes later TJ arrived ready to take a look at the problem, and do the job. TJ handled himself in a very professional manner. He came in, assessed the situation, explained what he was going to do, how much it was going to be, what issues might occur that would involve more money and was very friendly and confident he could successfully open the drain. Once we signed the release and TJ was ready to start bringing in his equipment, he brought in a narrow tarp that he put on our basement staircase before he starting bringing the equipment in to protect the carpeting. We appreciate it very much when someone comes in to do work in our home and respects our home. All in all TJ was here just a little less than an hour and did in fact successfully open our drain. Needless to say we were happy and grateful. We were also happy to have been able to use the website coupon to get a $40 discount. Throughout this entire process Roto-Rooter was very professional, did what they said they were going to do, in the time frame they promised and got the job done with as little mess and fuss as possible. TJ was outstanding and not only did a great job opening the drain, but respected our home the entire time he was here!

Mike went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me resolve a sewer back up problem. While he had difficulty locating the external access to the house's line, he found it and cured my problem. He is personable, polite and careful not to track anything upstairs into the main part of the house. I cannot highly enough recommend him and your company for exemplary service.

I needed my garbage disposal repaired quickly. I called Roto Rooter at 8:30 in the morning and a repairman was at my house at 11:00. Both the repairman and the lady I spoke with on the phone to schedule were incredibly helpful and courteous. The work was done quickly and at a reasonable price. We will absolutely be using this company in the future for plumbing needs.

As always, Roto-Rooters service providers, Nick Masseu and his manager, Glenn Roeder, were professional and very helpful. They didn't find any blockage in my drains, so consequently there was no charge. However, they spent time discussing options that I will probably have done soon regarding checking my line with a camera since this was not the first time I've had this problem. I've used Roto-Rooter for over 10 years, and have always been satisfied with their work and the way they do business!

The technician was extremely professional, persevering, and dedicated. He wanted to do the job correctly, and spent a great deal of time cleaning out the pipe and clearing the blockage. He recovered one piece of broken-off pipe from the line, but was unable to get a second piece. He arranged for an estimate for us to evaluate whether we wanted to get to the second broken off piece by back-hoe digging a nine-foot hole. He cleaned up after himself. He did an outstanding job.

Great service, they know what they are doing so you pay for the expertise. They also are helping me submit an application to the county to come and replace my old clay pipes to PVC. You are paying more vs local plumbers.

Courtesy call made that technician was on the way. Technician arrived sooner than expected. He demonstrated knowledge and possible causes of the blockage. He worked effieciently and neatly. Problem solved! This is the third time I've had this outfit to my home in 20 years. Always the same experience.

Our kids had just finished unwrapping presents Christmas morning and I went downstairs to find our main drain clogged and the basement beginning to flood. All I could think of was how expensive it was going to be to have someone come on Christmas day! I called Roto-Rooter's Saint Peters Mo. phone number and requested service, the lady that I spoke with explained that there was no additional charge to come on a holiday and that a tech would be here shortly. The tech arrived on time, and took care of our problem in short order. We were embarrassed that the guy had to leave his family on Christmas day to help us with this issue but he was very cheerful and assured us that it was no problem. Not only did they not charge additional to come on a holiday, we were allowed to use a coupon for the service! I was incredibly impressed with the technician and the service.

The service was fine. They just came this morning and I just found that they were pretty expensive, but they did a good job. There was an additional $250 to the Big Deal cost. I would not use them again because they are too expensive. The worker was very professional and nice. He did the job quickly.

Great experience from the initial call to get an appointment to the service call and successful clearing of the blockage. Everyone was friendly and courteous, answered my questions, and best of all they followed through on each and every commitment. They called when they said they would call, they showed up when they said they would show up, and diagnosed the problem quickly, provided an estimate, did they job quickly and correctly, and stuck with the quoted estimate. Tim, the technician who did the job, was extremely professional and friendly. He got right to work, explained what he was doing, and even provided us with his recommendations to prevent future blockages. We had a similar problem a few ago and the plumber (not from Roto-Rooter) attempted to clear the blockage, claiming difficulty in getting the snake past what he diagnosed as a broken section in the pipe. Tim had no such trouble, which is a relief because I was prepared to tear up my floor to replace broken drain pipe at $1000's! Thank you Tim!!!

The plumber that came to my house was polite, professional and prompt. He acknowledged that I had a coupon and applied it to the services that were provided. He took the time to explain the situation, the resolution and provided information that may help me in the future.

They came out quickly with in the hour. They got the job done quickly, cleaned up well and went on there way. It was a bit more expensive, for the warranty but still nice to have it done and not to have to wait around for the service.

I called Roto-Rooter for an after hour service call to finish a job I had already paid another company to do. The first company was terrible and could not get the clog and decided they had "done all they could do" and left me with standing sewage water in my basement. Roto-Rooter showed up and within an hour had the issue resolved. The technician, Jason Tech ID #3686 was professional, courteous and knowledgeable and diagnosed and fixed the problem without issue. I am delighted with the service and would highly recommend this company and Jason in particular.

They scheduled an appointment, didn't show up. Left us stranded because we missed their phone call.

He informed me that if he had to come and cable the lateral line from the basement I'd have to pay another $274. I won't use Roto rooter again. They may be punctual, but that's awfully expensive for an incomplete job that caused me a second round of damage and clean up. There's a readily accessible clean it access right on the sewage stack. 1/22/2016: Representative (Steve?) contacted me, and I explained why I was dissatisfied -- the key issue was they indicated they would not honor the warranty if another visit was required, while I felt it was only common sense that if a sewer line backed up that they would clear the line from sewage stack in house -- not just the main line to the street. He indicated that the Y in the line at my residence was uncommon. However, if backup reoccured within 6 months, they would honor the warranty and clear the line from the basement access. After the fact, I did some price checking and I believe the price is on the high end, but I expect that of the big brand. And the service was prompt and courteous. So I've upgraded my rating.

Technician was extremely punctual, friendly, and did a great job. Our only complaint is that the price seems a little pricey for the job.
