Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Work was performed just fine and it did solve the problem. The labor rate was very very high at $244 for 45 minutes worth of work.

Terrible, and a complete waste of my time.

Demetric Lacey and Chad Connoyer were top notch. They were courteous, efficient, knowledgeable, clean, and friendly. We cannot say enough how grateful we are to have these two come and assist us with our plumbing problem.

Greg was great! He did an amazing job! Very professional. Our kitchen was a little more of a challenge to do but, he did a wonderful job.

Greg Louris (#8366) showed up at our house and was very friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem. He wasn't able to do the job that day, but came back on a Sunday and worked until the problem was solved. He was knowledgeable and friendly and I will ask for him again if I have other problems.

Cody was great. Came out w/in an hour of me calling - on a Sunday. Courteous, and got the job done fast.

We have used RR repeatedly in the past and were satisfied with their service. However with this last visit things changed. Not too long after the service man's arrival he told us that he was having trouble and it would cost us more than the base service charge. He also said that the longest time he had snaked a line previously was 8 hrs. We became suspicious at this point and should have called and requested another service person. The drain had emptied on its own after several hours. He removed the cap in the basement (not from the roof like others had done in the past). He did not use a motorized snake which all of RR's service people had done before. He was here 3 hrs. and at some point switched to a longer snake. When he was finished he told me that he would have to charge even more to clean up and that I could clean it faster myself. (I'm 77) Never had that experience with RR previously. I did the cleanup. He did not wear booties and tracked sludge on the hall tile and on a rug. The next day my wife called and complained. The person she talked to agreed that we would receive a $200 refund and should expect a check in a week to week and a half. After a couple of weeks my wife called again and talked to the same person. He called back and said the paperwork was done but had failed to be sent in. He said a check would arrive in 1-1.5 weeks. So far nothing after 2 weeks. Update on November 4, 2016: We have received the $200.00 refund.

All work completed quickly and neatly. No mess left for me to clean up. Repaired expensive part. Good experience.

Called on a Friday evening. Tech was there on Saturday AM (of Labor Day Weekend) as promised. Offer to try a repair from above that may or may not work. I opted for him to open the ceiling in the basement and replace the drain from below for a definitive repair. He open the smallest hole to allow him to work, less then 1 sq ft. Job was based on time, the only reason I marked down on price was he didn't have fittings in the van for the job and I was charged time will he went for them. I closed the hole with a cover, that allows access to the area, from the big box store. Ceiling repair was not included.

Called on a Friday evening, service provide on Saturday morning. Provider offered 2 options, to try and seal the drain from above which might work, or access through ceiling below for a definitive repair. I chose the definitive repair. Service provider took care to open as small a whole as possible to remove leaking drain. Unfortunately did not have parts on his van to re-install, so I did pay time charges while he left to obtain parts. Area left clean. Would recommend to others. Rated B on price for time to leave and get parts.

Well -- it was quick and seemed to fix the issue.

They did a fine job and gave us all the details and what to do about it and well I cleaned up most of the mess because he got the sewer unclogged until actually there was a break in the line right at the main line and that the city had to come out and fix for them to come out here and do that and we are doing fine now. They did what I asked them to do and did it efficiently and any other details of what I needed to do to get the city or the county to come out and finish the job.

The total cost was $274, but they took $40 off for me. So the total was $234. I thought it was kind of pricey for what they did. They came and completed the work in a timely manner and it was fixed completely.

The technician was professional, courteous and pleasant. I need additional work done and I will be calling back for Ivan specifically.

They charged us over 300 dollars. My husband called to ask why they charged us so much for less than an hour of work and they offered a 75 dollar refund. Refund never came and we have called twice to check on it. They keep saying check is in mail. Dont use them there are plenty of good plumbers out there!

No charge for weekend service, pleasant , explained everything and prices were fiar. They were there within an hour.

Roto-Rooter sent out a women for the job. She was great! I was told by another company that the flap couldn't be replaced on my check valve because it was too old. This woman found the flap at one of Roto-Rooter's suppliers. She came back with prices in case I wanted to install a gate valve at some point. She was the best plumber I've ever had and the most customer service orientated. She found the flap and installed it. I will call Roto-Rooter again and ask for her.

That was probably last year. I don't know if it was through Angie's List. It might have been through the phone book because it was an emergency.

Quick and easy--the time from calling for service to when the technician left was under 2-1/2 hours. (Cost was before application of Angie's List coupon.)

Great. The technician was at our house and the work was complete within an hour of my initial 9:30pm call on a Tuesday night. Fantastic turnaround time. We knew the pricetag would be high compared to if I could have called someone local on a weekday, but we were well pleased with the responsiveness.

First of all, Roto-Rooter was the ONLY plumber I call who answered the telephone. They scheduled an appointment timeframe for me later the same day. The plumber was knowledgeable and explained everything to me. He fixed the issue promptly, and offered to send my information to their water restoration people. Thanks for the great service! 24-hours later, and I still haven't received return call from the other 2 plumbers that I left messages for. The water restoration is underway, and so far everything has been very professional and satisfactory. I will submit a review on the water restoration services separately.

I called requesting an estimate for installation of two Aquasana filter systems for my house. One system is a whole house filter to be installed on the main water line in my basement, and the other system is a reverse osmosis filter to be installed under my kitchen sink, through the cabinet and floor, and into my basement. My basement is unfinished and provides easy, direct access to the installation sites. I also pre-purchased from the manufacturer, a professional installation kit to go with the whole house filter. I phoned on 7/5/2016, and Keith came to my home on 7/5/2016 to provide an estimate. The estimate for the work to be done was $1150.00, or $244 for the first hour of work, and $122 for each hour after the first. I went with another provider who seemed more knowledgeable about the filter's installation requirements, and at a lower cost.
