Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Initial problems getting cable to go down (it kept going up) but these were resolved and drain was successfully unclogged.

Bob, who was a licensed journeyman plumber did an excellent job of diagnosing and correcting the problem and completing the job within the allotted amount of time. Bob was not only skilled at his craft, but was pleasant and professional as well as being a wealth of information about plumbing in older houses.

They did a good job and cleaned out the clog.

Great! Rotor Rooter came out within a couple of hours and cleared the line.

It went very well. I really don’t have a lot of experience with that and that was something that was needed done right away. Quality of work was very good. They guy did a very nice job. They’re very good. I definitely would call them. It took, I’m thinking about an hour and a half. It was one guy and he did a really good job, he diagnosed the problem, he told me what the cost was going to be and what he needed to do. Then we agreed on, “okay, let’s go ahead and do that then!”

Beautifully. The gentleman came and was able to get everything taken care of quickly and cleaned up the mess afterward which was an unexpected but beyond pleasant surprise.

A man came out on Monday and cleared the pipe. He was pleasant and polite and professional. His name started with an M but I can recall his entire name. He explained what had happened and got the work done and cleaned up. And gave me a $40.00 discount. The cost was about $283.00. On Tuesday I noticed that the pipe under the sink was leaking and there was a pool of water underneath. I called again. This time a man named Joe came. He said that he was a licensed plumber. The seal from the pipe to the sink had become loose so he replaced the pipe and seal and made sure that the sink was draining all right. He was very nice, polite and professional. I put newspapers on the bottom of the cabinet to absorb the water and waited a couple of days before putting things back in the cabinet. The charge for this call was about $103.00. Both men wore uniforms and had identification tags. I felt comfortable having them working in my home.

Work was completed on time and as promised.

It was pretty simple work and it turned out fine. We had kind of an emergency so I didn't call around, but they were willing to come right away. They were easy to reach at an early hour of the morning and very prompt on getting here to fix the problem.

3 visits and 4 technicians and 30 hours later my drain was unclogged. They had major problems with the way my drains were run. I was totally pleased with the work and the price.

Roto Rooter had someone available that evening to come and unclog. He arrived within an hour of my original call and went right to work. He advised me of the price ahead of time if it was a quick fix, and what it would cost if it was a more extensive issue. I thought the price was fair for how quickly they arrived and solved the problem. The service tech was polite and put shoe covers on before coming in the house. He cleaned up afterwards too. Most definitely would use them again.

The service technician showed up on time, was pleasant and professional, and fixed my clog efficiently. Plumbing is never cheap, but the price was reasonable. I really liked the technician, who seemed to really care about doing a great job.

Since we had no way of looking in these pipes ourselves Roto Rooter could have told us they needed to clear the pipes but they were completely honest and told us the pipes were clear. We very much appreciate this honesty.

I called Roto-Rooter because other providers I had used previously were busy and I needed immediate service. Cost was excessive (at least twice what I expected). The service required was to clean out the main kitchen stack and sewer line out to the street. I was quoted a high price for that job with additional costs for obviously unnecessary services (cleaning out a 3 foot branch from the main line to a floor drain). I reluctantly accepted the price for the needed services since this was somewhat of an emergency, but no more. I will not use Roto-Rooter again.

Matt was here in 30 minutes of call. Knowledgeable, polite, efficient,....could not have been more pleasant.

Serviceman arrived on time (although the confirmation call was early). He listened to my story, assessed the situation and gave me a contract to sign. I didn't like the price (even with Angie's discount coupon), but I was motivated to get the problem solved so agreed. Serviceman resolved the problem efficiently and in a friendly manner. The service itself was very good. I was prepared for the price by another Angie's list review, so there was no sticker shock. But the good news and the bad news is that he made it look easy.

Went as well as a plumbing problem can go.

Within four hours, a very professional gentleman appeared art the door, checked everything out, diagnosed our problem as a leaking washing machine near the drain, and did not charge us. We will use Roto Rooter for all problems in the future and gladly recommend them to anyone who asks. Super response!12/16

Ok. Showed up on time, got the job one. kind of expensive, even with the $40 coupon

Well. They filed claim with insurance company.

They did good work. They unstopped the drain.

Roto-Rooter offered to fix the water supply line between our house and the water meter for $14,000. This would have involved they said, digging a trench all the way to the porch and under, removing side walk, drilling up the basement floor, calling our alderman to put the full press on the forestry department to remove a tree, etc. I was stunned, but not knowing anything else thought that's what it would entail. A few days later I went to talk to the city water division chief, and he said it should at most cost one third of that. He also said Roto-Rooter rarely does that kind of work, which is why I heard the rep calling subs when he was there. I think this is very dishonest--if they don't do that kind of work they should just say so up front. As it was, i got the job done for less than $4500 with just one 5x6-foot hole near the street plus one more in the street, and the tree will probably live.
