The workers were very active and professional. They gave me an estimated price of the work that was going to be done, and they did it in the time frame that they said they would.

Description of Work: After basement drains backed up, various RR people came to the house depending on their expertise and equipment. Snaked/camera-ed the pipes, as well as jetted the lines all the way to the street. Also needed an access added to one of the stack pipes.

+ -1 moreOur home is 97 years old and anyone who has had emergency sewer line repairs knows you don't really know how much they may have to dig up in order to find good sewer line to hook into. We were lucky as they found good sewer line at the bottom of the basement stairwell. We thought this may require them to dig up our basement steps, which they did not. Called on Christmas Eve day and they were prompt in coming to house within 4 hours for the backup of sewer water in the basement. Thankfully, it was minimal. . Overall, we were please with their service and would hire again.
Description of Work: Roto-Rooter came to home on 12-24-16 and cleared large root clog in yard which ran into the basement. Cost $424 and gave bid of $3,800 to return and jackhammer through basement floor at toilet stack to stairwell and expose and replace old sewer drain line. Remove all old cast iron and clay pipes and replace with schedule-40 PVC. Once complete, backfill in dirt and fill in with rough concrete. The $3,800 included all parts, labor, permits for 20ft. spot repair. They returned on 1-9-17 as we added to this bid and requested them to replace old toilet stack 1/2 way up and add in a laundry line. Laundry line cost was $1,260. They charged $140 for every 10ft. which was added onto our original bid. Total cost was $5,060.

Rotorooter restoration and plumber came out to my home immediately to assess the problem over the Memorial Holiday weekend. Greg Louris, the plumber was able to replace my water heater valve to stop the water pressure overflow from further damaging my walls and floors at a reasonable cost. Further work is needed for repair, but I was to emphasize the constant communication and willingness to explain every step in detail was exceptional. I will always use Rotorooter for their excellent customer service and professionalism!

+ 1 moreVery well. I watched the guy camera the lines and could see for myself the issues (roots etc). Should be in good shape for the next downpour. Would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: After drains backed up in the basement due to heavy rains, RR came and cleared the lines, used a camera to inspect the lines and jetted the lines out to the street. Had several different RR people come depending on the expertise and equipment needed. All were professional, prompt, helpful. They coordinated at their end, so everyone was up to speed when they arrived.

The outside drains were pretty straightforward, but the laundry room drain was difficult to access properly because of the design of our cabinetry and countertop. He worked diligently and got it open as best as he could, and gave us a smart suggestion to improve access in case we have a problem in the future.

Description of Work: There is obviously a leak under my house and the plumber who came out said there wasn't a leak and to have someone do a leak detection. The water company came less than hour later and showed us where the leak was (which was under the house like we thought). Although we weren't charged by Roto Rooter, it's concerning they have plumbers who can't find an obvious leak.

He replaced the wax ring and fixed our other two problems as well. Bob was courteous, professional, and did a great job. We will definitely use Roto-Rooter in the future and ask for Bob if he is available.
Description of Work: We had a toilet that was leaking into the basement every time it was flushed. It turns out the wax ring had failed after years of service. We also had a leaking utility room sink, and a bad shut-off valve on the toilet.

+ -1 moreScheduled appointment for to be no earlier than 9 am. They called at 7:30 am to tell us they were on the way. Arrived around 8 am. Being a night shift worker this is irritating. The call center refuses to give a price on the phone for the basic service call, only the plumber can tell you that. This same service call at the apartment complex that my wife works at is only $90.00, the plumber charged us $259.00. For less than twenty minutes of work, I feel like I was robbed. I will never again use Roto Rooter.
Description of Work: Needed a new gasket for the toilet and a rubber washer on the fill valve reinstalled.

When he came, I showed him the pics of the drains (scope pics) that clearly showed no issues - just a little bit of debris. He didn't do any of his own work - he didn't even look at the drain. His quote was over $300!!! And he kept pushing extra add-on services. No thank you. We went with a more reputable, HONEST company. Don't use these big name guys - support local!!
Description of Work: We needed our kitchen drain cleaned out due to buyers doing a sewer inspection when selling our home. No clogged drain, no problems - just one of the asks from the buyers for us to do before they take ownership. The buyers provided pics of each drain, which showed a small amount of debris in the kitchen drain.
