They started on time, finished when they estimated they would finish and charged the amount that they had estimated. The did an excellent job of cleaning up after they were finished.

I spent a little over $2000 on the repairs. They came out and gave me an estimate. The roofer spent quite a bit of time looking at the roof to make sure what needed to be repaired and what didn?t need to be repaired. They came out pretty much when they said they would come. He called me and told me that it would also depend upon the weather because we had a couple of rainy days before he got started. Once he got started, he went right to it. The job turned out really well and it looks good.

I was absolutely thrilled with everything except their scheduling. I was asked to be available anytime during the day (8 am to 5 pm) - I wish they would have narrowed the window to either am or pm, as keeping an entire day appointment free is very challenging with my job. That was my only complaint. The work was terrific and he fixed several issues with the gutter seams that I was unaware of. He also pointed out a couple of additional items that needed to fixed with the windows (while pointing out that they don't do window work (so he wasn't just trying to get more money from me)). And, most importantly, he pointed out a HUGE construction error with my porch overhang that could have potentially been quite dangerous and pretty expensive to fix further down the road. The gentleman (I can't remember his name and I don't have his card handy!) was very detailed about the problems he found, what needed to be fixed and provided additional resources for areas outside of their specialities. I received a detailed quote for a few additional items we'd discussed within a couple of days. I was very, very, very happy with the service and thrilled they offered the Big Deal through Angie's List. I probably wouldn't have gotten around to dealing with any of the issues for another couple of years without the BD and as a result, would have spent hundreds or thousands of extra dollars due to continued damages I wasn't seeing from the ground. Great! I purchased the deal online. Within a day, the company called me to schedule a time for them to do the work. Picked a day that was about 14 days away. The weather was bad (rainy and cold) on the scheduled day, but they called me early that morning and rescheduled. (I didn't have to wait around and wonder. I didn't have to call them.) I was pleased that they were able to do it just 2 days later. The appointment was for an afternoon and he arrived by 12:30 and finished up by 2:30. After doing the maintenance needed, he told me that we had needed caulking in several places and had done that just in time to prevent leakage problems. ( Didn't try to sell us any unneeded repairs or products.) We had been doing our own gutter cleaning and he said that looked pretty good. (Didn't try to build up a false need for ongoing services.) I mentioned that cleaning our own gutters was somewhat not something we "enjoyed," especially considering the large trees near our home. He gave the option of giving us information on gutter screens and later mailed the information to us. To sum it up, no pressure for continuing services or suggestions of needing a new roof. He said that with the maintenance done, our roof appeared that it should have several more years left. He did what needed to be done and did a fine job. They were professional throughout and courteous. I can see why the company has such fine ratings on Angie's List.

They showed up on time and thoroughly went over the entire roof and all the gutters. He cleaned out the gutters and made several improvements taht will make a huge difference. They were able to caulk around all the places that needed it and on a flat roof area make some minor repairs that will extend how long I can make it without having to replace the entire roof. I was given a 4-6 "game plan" and technician went back to get them to give me a full re-roofing bid. I think this is great, but I was mostly glad to know that I shouldn't have trouble for several more years and I know what to do to save up and prepare for the near future.

Best Angie's deal I've used. Fantastic professional services...the gentleman who arrived was punctual, professional and provided service I felt was above and beyond my expectations. He was honest about our roofing needs and the company was then prompt and courteous about getting a quote to us for services. They didn't push services on us and were open about how long they felt the current roof would last. Terrific company.

This is the best $200 I have ever spent on any of my homes. The person they sent out was the most knowledgeable, honest and efficient professional I have ever dealt with on home repair. He's a credit to his organization.

Ask them to come out for an estimate of my roof. They set up a time from 12:00 to 3:00pm to have some one come out so that I could talk to whom ever that would be. I called around 11:30 to confirm and they told me that they would give 30 min advance warning. They never called they never showed up. Very unprofessional. Update 09/01/2010 Mike Vaughn called me and explained what happen and apoligized. So, I retract my very bad rating to a C.

Chris gave us a timely and very fair estimate on the project. Vaught was not the lowest bid we received--it was somewhere in the middle of the three--but we were impressed with their professionalism and the good reports they'd had on Angie's. Chris called to schedule us right away, even fitting us in within 2 weeks because we had leaks in the roof. The crew came by right on schedule and worked steadily and thoroughly. The job took two days, and at the end of each day the crew cleaned up completely. They worked quickly and very respectfully--no loud radios, no damage done to gutters or other parts of the house. We were completely satisfied with how professional the team was and how quickly and well the job was done. Excellent work!

They were fabulous. They first came out and gave me the estimate. They were really great to talk to and deal with. They answered all my questions and then they did a huge project for me. They were fantastic in every way. Everybody I talked to was very experienced and they had all worked for the company for over 10 years. They didn?t use any sub contractor and they were all full time employees of the company. They give you about 6 to 8 weeks time gap between the estimates and the actual work because they don?t just pick up a sub contractor and do the job. So you do need to wait a little longer for them to start the job but we didn?t mind. If you have a leak before they start your roofing project, then they will come out to fix it first, which I thought was great. Their estimate was a little bit higher and so I called them and they negotiated with me. We then decided a price which was in the middle range, which a lot of people just won?t agree to do. The employees who came out were very neat, clean, courteous and efficient. They were always on time if not early. They were just wonderful and I can?t think of one bad thing to say about them. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

We had them do an estimate but they were quite a bit higher than what we wanted to pay so we had them bid on shingles instead. They gave us a reasonable bid. They fixed the leaks we had and replaced some flashing that the original roofer neglected to replace. They were a little higher in price but the quality is superior.

Excellent. They gave me a quote in a timely manner, were here when scheduled, left no debris and took care of the issue. I've used them before and will in the future.

They showed up on time. They cleaned up the work. They did what they said they were going to do. They had to come back once to do a repair but they did that very promptly. They did a good job. They cleaned the gutters, the area around the bushes, and the yard. They went over the yard with a metal detector to be sure there weren't any roofing nails on the lawn. The price was average because we checked prices from several others. They were prompt, on time, and they came back when we called them. They were very professional as far as doing the proper kind of contract and everything we would expect from a professional company with guarantees on workmanship and product.

UPDATE FROM MEMBER 9/8/10: I think that Vaught Roofing ended up getting a grade of B from us because they had damaged our front step with one of their trucks. However, as soon as the weather improved, they came out and fixed the step properly. I hate to see them graded down when we were very pleased with both their service and their fee. Please change the grades from B to A.

It wasn't a big job. About 20 years ago they put on a new roof. A storm had done some damage. They are very quick to get out, and call before they arrive. I've had people comment on how good my roof is.

I got the first estimate from this company early in 2009. The representative came out and inspected my roof and came back out and gave me a written estimate. I was impressed that he gave me several options on shingles. I didn't feel as if I was under any pressure to sign a contract. After getting estimates (higher and lower) from other companies and doing some research I called them back several months later and asked them to give me an updated estimate. The representative came back to my house with the new figures (only slightly higher) and shingle samples. The second estimate also included solar tubes as an additional option. He also provided me with the addresses of several houses on which they had installed the shingles I was interested in. Some of the other companies wouldn't do that. He also took the time to explain attic ventilation to me. What some of the others had told me just didn?t make any sense. He told me that it would be about 4 weeks before they could get to my roof. It took a little longer than that. I was willing to wait because I had decided that they were the ones I wanted to do the job. The new materials were delivered to my house on the day they said that they would be. There was a little bit of a delay because of the weather. They kept in touch with me until the job was completed. They also put up with my nosey neighbor.

They've been professional, punctual and given that it's roofing work, as throough as I can tell. We'll continue to use them for repairs in the future.

They gave us an estimate of $675. They came out and were here for about 2 hours. It still leaked after this. They came back out and gave us another estimate for $365. We were told that the person who did the original estimate made a mistake and should have included this other work. They told us they could come out and put some tar on it though. The leak is still not fixed. The owner was also very difficult to deal with. If we had known up front that it was going to be over $1000, we would have gotten other estimates.
