I started Asphalt Wizards in 2002. Previously I have been a foreman with two other asphalt companies here in the Kansas City area. My experience and knowledge assures your paving needs will be handled with utmost care and professionalism. I look forward to hearing from you. - Parrish Love, Owner & President
"After contacting through Angie's List waited 2 weeks and was never contacted. Called the office and spoke with a young lady about getting a quote and did not receive a call back until the end of the week. Quote given for an asphalt drive was the same price for having them do a concrete drive. Compared to their competitors asphalt drive in that region they are way over priced and even their concrete quote turned out to be almost 800 hundred higher then everyone else"

We Use Traditional Mudjacking Methods and Polyurethane Methods Depending On Your Specific Need. Mudjacking- The Process of raising and leveling concrete by pumping or injecting a mixture of water, sand, soil, cement under a settling slab. The mixture often referred to as "mud" or slurry, cures to create a stable fill. The slurry will fill the voids and the pressure will build to push the concrete up back towards original position. The hardened mix will be lighter than concrete but more stable than the soil underneath. We also use the polyurethane method of correction. Also known as: mud jacking, concrete lifting, concrete leveling, concrete raising, grout pumping, slab jacking, grout filling, void filling, poly-jacking, foam jacking.
"Excellent job. Explained what was going to be done and the preparations needed of the jobsite beforehand. Completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned up the jobsite afterwards and showed me the work completed. I compared their estimate to others and it was very reasonable since others wanted to charge an exorbitant amount that was anywhere from 2-5 times the estimate I received from them for a basic mudjacking job that takes 1-2 hours. The pictures that are attached are 1 before and 1 after. The concrete is still wet from them literally just completing the work, but they were able to lift the steps all the way back up to their original position. Recommended."

When you’re hiring a concrete contractor, ask as many questions up front as possible. Here are a few questions to ask a prospective concrete contractor:
Do you use stone or sand for base material?
How thick do you usually pour concrete?
How many years of experience do you have?
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Do you have worker’s compensation?
How long have you worked with your subcontractors?
How do you handle garbage and waste disposal?
Do you provide a guarantee or warranty on your work?
Do you give free estimates?
How do you handle change orders?
Can you provide at least three references?
Can I see some of the work you’ve done in photos and the actual project?
Concrete repair costs range anywhere from about $0.10 to $0.15 per linear foot to fill minor cracks, to about $6 to $14 per square foot to replace damaged concrete slabs. Repair costs vary widely depending on the size and type of work needed. For example, replacing 100 square feet of driveway will cost between $600 to $1,400, on average.
Yes, concrete contractors should be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed concrete contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. States have different requirements for concrete contractor licensing, so be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification, which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Depending on the cost to repair your driveway, it may be more cost effective to tear out and replace it with a new concrete driveway. The cost to repave a driveway ranges between $1,400 and $12,100, including removal of the old concrete. Contact a reputable concrete contractor for advice and an estimate. They may have a good reason for going with repairs or replacement after assessing your driveway. You may also have the option to resurface your driveway or pave over it without taking out the existing one.
Concrete contractors typically charge anywhere from $6 to $14 per square foot. Cost factors include job size, site prep, base material, accessibility, your location, concrete finish, and concrete thickness. Removal of existing concrete, asphalt, deck, pavers, and grass will cost anywhere from $1 to $6 per square foot. Homeowners can often save money by removing and disposing of existing pavers, decks, and grass. Breaking up and hauling away concrete and asphalt is difficult and time-consuming without the proper equipment and may be worth having the pros do that work.
