Absolute Clean

There were two guys that came. They were both very nice. They did a free inspection of my dryer vent and looked at my second fireplace. I will definitely use them again.

It went very well. We will use again in the future.

These guys are great. They called me back in a matter of hours & came to the house within a few days. They were right on time & did a good job on my chimney that hadn't been cleaned in years. The completed the job in a reasonable time & cleaned up after they were done. What more can you ask for?

Arrived on time and explained their process in great detail. Respectful of our home, taking care to protect our hardwood floors. Cleaned up the job site leaving it as clean as it was when they arrived.

They were quick efficient and very clean for the type of work being done. They offered a concise report on the condition of our chimney and said based on our usage we did not to do any repairs. If we increased our annual usage, we should consider another inspection for long term options. Very professional about their approach and honest with us.

David was very prompt in getting the visit scheduled. He contacted me when he was on the way and they were very prompt. The work went very quickly. David provided several recommendations for preventative maintenance but there was no pressure whatsoever. The are was cleaned up and they were done in less than 90 minutes. I would certainly recommend them and wouldn't hesitate to call them in the future.

The chimney had 35 years accumulation. They kept at it until it was 100% clean. Also inspected the dryer vent and said that it was in good shape.

The reps called me well before the appointment and asked if they could show up early. I was very happy to accept the earlier time. Work was conducted quickly and efficiently. Very pleased with service.

They left kind of a mess on my floor. They were prompt and nice. It was a rainy and they left marks on my hardwood floors. I thought they would clean it up but they didn't. They did a good job on the chimney.

Arrived on time and did a thorough cleaning and inspection of the chimney. We decided to go forward with the recommended chimney cap and interior tuckpointing. These services were completed promptly (as soon as the ordered part came in). Very friendly, courteous, and cleaned up thoroughly after the work was completed.

Paul and Absolute Clean determined "not" to seal off the basement doorway during their escapade resulting in mold elevation in the upper 2 levels of the home ? far greater than the outdoors. An astounding degree of thick dirt was discovered beneath/on top, and inside every area and property of the home. Carpets were cleaned on 3 separate occasions (within a 2.5 week period) after their job, twice by the highest rated carpet-cleaning company in the area, yet the thick, musty texture remains in the carpet. Continual coughing/hacking and cleaning within the home, with a return of this thick dirt each time after cleaning on a weekly basis. *I have photos and supporting documentation of this destruction, along with contractors reports of what I have revealed above. Paul/Absolute Clean not only falsified being experienced, he provided a written 10-year guarantee, yet refuses to respond to the findings, photos, and refuses to issue a full refund after these findings. Nor does Paul respond to Angie's Lists inquiries to resolve this matter. Paul issued a partial refund of $870; the check was returned due to non-sufficient funds. Absolute Clean was paid to clean the vents and confirmed they did so. Yet, as revealed in the photos dated on the 4th/final day of this job (and reconfirmed by licensed Contractors), the vents were not cleaned. Also, I paid Paul $1.4K for Basement Foam Insulation performed by Laura of Absolute Clean: A highly-reputable, licensed plumber alerted me of a possible code violation in how the foam was sprayed over the joists and wiring. Licensed contractors were appalled when they entered the basement, advising they had never seen foam insulation installed like this and that the job was poorly done. The City of St. Peters advised to obtain the materials used due to a possible hazard concern and code violation as noted by the plumber -- yet Paul never responded to my request for the vendor?s name for verification of the material used. Note: there were areas left open where they missed inserting the foam insulation (photos provided), so Paul and Laura returned a second time in their attempts to finish the job (Paul stood; Laura did the work while Paul instructed Laura on what to do). I paid $1,400 for someone to practice foam insulation and there are still gaps with air flowing through, along with the foam continually falling off, onto the floor. It seems Paul and his employees would have to know the job in order to claim he is licensed for this job. Instead, it was all just a guess on their end. Paul advised he would use a dumpster to clear out the basement. Instead, they drove up with about four (4) beat-up, white vans and left a good amount of what was to be hauled just sitting in the garage, not to mention cigarette butts and trash on the property. I was on standby one day for their return, but their van broke down. It took 4 additional weekends for them to return to pick up the moldy trash they were to haul out prior to the mold removal and remediation project. Now the garage has mold (confirmed by the lab tech, lab tests, and 4 separate contractors). Would you contract someone of this caliber to enter your home? Four trips for trash, 2 trips for the foam insulation, and 2 trips for the dryer vent cleaning. Paul left, and the dryer was rattling loudly with a large volume of water/sweat building up inside. Naturally, he did not return that day to correct his wrong. I had to wait another weekend. I doubt they know what they are doing. By the reviews, it appears their line of business is moreso chimney-sweeping, not what they have advertised herein. The check they claim they've refunded to me has bounced. After they left, I had to hire someone else to redo all the work. The company afterwards conducted tests and had to redo the work on the whole house.
