They were prompt and did a nice job. They were very reasonably priced. They arrived earlier than anticipated for the appointment.

Called Marty on 9/9. He scehduled job for 9 AM on 9/10. Sean showed up promptly at 9 AM. Before Sean showed up I uncapped the downspout drains. This is at a rental property and I had no idea why the downspouts were being diverted from the sewers. Talked to Sean about what I wanted. He ran the cam and determing lines were open and in good condition. While he was putting his equimpment away, I routed the downspouts to the sewer drains. I asked him what I owed him. He said $150. I said is that with the senior discount. He said 10% off for $140. I had to leave and wrote him a check for $140 with my home address. He will mail me the receipe and CD for this property. I used them for another camera job at my home in April. That CD was lost and they will provide me with a onther copy of the one for my home. This is the third time I've used them. Very satistfied. I just saw where Angie's List memeber get $20 off which is better than the $15 senior discount. Note ot Marty: Give that $5 to Sean as a tip.

Everything went great. We noticed our basement floor drain had sewage coming up at 7:30 am. I called A & J, who had cleared our line in the past, and we were told they could come at 11:00 am. Sean called from his truck about 9:30 am to say his previous jobs went quickly and he could arrive in one minute, which he did. He cleared the line of roots within half an hour. It's such a relief to know who to call for these kinds of problems. I cannot emphasize enough how very capable this company is!

Went very well. Cleaned out the drain and it is working.

We came back after a 2 1/2 week vacation to find our basement drain clogged with standing water. I called a couple other companies but they didn't have openings until the following Monday. We didn't want to wait that long. Called A & J about 2:00 in the afternoon. The person I talked to was driving, pulled over to take my call. He took our info and said he would have someone out in about 20 minutes. Jeremy arrived in about 20 minutes, checked the problem and cleared it. We may have to have the drain replaced later possibly it is cracked but since it is not a main service drained we were told how to maintain it so it will last longer. It was fast and great service. Definitely recommend A & J drain service. I will use them again if I have another drain problem.

Shawn called before arriving and was very punctual. He was very personable and very professional. He worked quickly and efficiently. He explained every thing he was doing and offered tips to help our drains in the future. We would wholeheartedly recommend Shawn and A & J Drain Service to anyone. Hopefully we won't need their services anytime soon, but if we do we will be calling them again.

A&J is a name we will put in our phone book. They called before they came and were so nice and explained what they needed to do. Sean was great! The entire service was very professionally done.

Their service was very convenient and professional. The work was done at our rental property and I did not have to be there...the tenant let them in property to perform work. Everything working and tenant is happy!

Jeremy arrived a couple of minutes early and went right to work - for about 1 hr & 45 min. He was friendly, organized, and informative. He suggested that the main problem seemed to be the lack of drain slope under the house and down to the trap in the front yard. (It's been this way for 107 years, so that won't change.) He thought that problems might be prevented/forestalled if I would run Clorox down the drain periodically and flush it with a hose occasionally. I can do that....

Sean not only opened up the main line but also fixed my faucet and located the outside vent in the front yard, which had been buried years ago by landscapers.

They arrived a few minutes late but called ahead to let me know when they would be arriving. They were friendly and effecient. They explained everything they were doing and made sure everything was just as clean as when they arrived. GREAT SERVICE!

A different plumber told us that we had a collapsed pipe under our house, and that we would need to break out the floor and replace the pipes under the house--around a $3000 repair. We had to move out of our house because we couldn't use the plumbing. We decided to get a second opinion, and called A&J Drain. They were knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They put a camera through all of our pipes, and found that instead of a collapsed pipe, we had a clogged pipe. He cleaned it out and gave us a DVD of our pipe layout. A&J saved us a ton of money, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Dinner guest dumped kale into the sink. They snaked from the roof to the sink, examined the basement pipe up to the sink, and worked under the sink. Showed up early 8:45am for a 9am appt and were done by 10. Turns out there were 2 clogs - above and below the kitchen sink. Very efficient, I'm delighted. Would absolutely use again!

The clogged main drain was noticed on Friday in the late afternoon after I washed a load of clothes. My husband could not clean out the drain, so on Saturday April 26 we called A+J. Jeremy was very courteous and professional. We would not hesitate to call them again!!

I called at 6AM and someone was at my home in Shrewsbury by 8:45AM. The drain was cleared by 9:15AM and I have had not further problems. The technician was prompt, friendly and professional. He also helped to educate me about what to look for in the future, which I appreciate. I would use this service again.

Worker arrived on time in company vehicle and wearing company t-shirt identifying him. Got to work right away on cleaning out drainage pipe via yard access. Seemed to address some tree roots. Consulted with me briefly re: tub draining problem. Snaked tub drain buy using the snake, which didn't seem to make a remarkable difference. Indicated that was all he could do and encouraged me to use bleach and leave in in drains overnight to increase effect.

Sean called and arrived early. He was very friendly and informative. He explained the work he was going to do and also told us what we can do to help keep the line clear.

Couldn't be more pleased. Did a great job. Pleasant but professional.

Justin arrived exactly when promised. He got the job done quickly. He was also very polite and professional. I will definitely use A&J again.

The men were efficient, did the job right and were courteous as well. I was surprised to learn that the brand of toilet paper used is important as some brands do not dissolve well and that can cause drain issues. I will be changing to the recommended brand. I was pleased with the prompt response to my call and the way the service was provided.

I called at 9AM, they said they could be here by 11AM. IT wasn't the owner I talked to, but one of his employees. He showed up at 10:45, was really nice guy, young. Listened to my description of this issue then took a look at the drains to see the best way to proceed. He had to call the owner for a little advice, just to verify the best way to proceed. He brought his tools in, did the job, cleaned up/didn't really make much mess. The whole thing was done in about 30 minutes. Talking to the guy, he was one of the newer people on the team, but spoke highly of the owner, how well he was treated. I think this is important, it lets the employee work better. The owner supplies all of the tools, the van, etc. From talking with him about previous jobs, the owner sounds like he really does try to do right by the customer. I would hire them again!!

Once there was a back-up. I called them, they came out, went through everything in about an hour, looking through the drain and poking around. In the end, he said sometimes these things take care of themselves. He didn?t even charge me since he didn?t do anything and it worked itself out. We had another back-up recently, and they came out and took care of it immediately.

My basement drain started overflowing when we used water (on Friday afternoon, of course). I called A&J based on its Angie's List reviews, and they scheduled someone to come out the next morning. The employee arrived, brought in his equipment, and went to work, successfully clearing the blockage. He was able to explain to me the severity of the blockage, a possible cause, and a recommended schedule of maintenance to keep the pipe clear. The company's coupon for Angie's List membership saved me enough to pay for a year's membership. I did have to pay overtime charges for the Saturday visit, but that's to be expected.

I had another company come out to investigate/resolve sewage draining into my front yard. The company identified a clean out (that I didn't know about) and provided a poor-quality video of "tree roots" in the sewer lateral. My lateral is all PVC, so I wanted another opinion before proceeding with the $2,500 sewer lateral repair. Marty took my call and scheduled me for 7:30 am the next day. Marty and his assistance arrived on-time and immediately got to work. They scoped the drain and used a series of blades to clear the blockage. Finally, Marty scoped the line again, digitally located the issue and provided high-quality footage of a clear break in the lateral. I still provided an A for Price, even though $225 seems to be on the high side for clean, camera and locate (based on other A&J reviews). I wish he would have reminded me of the $30 Angie's List discount.

They were excellent and very determined. They even gave me a video of my drain.
