Nothing like having company for Thanksgiving to get everything fixed and ready for the holiday season. Tom was wonderful and even though we had several small jobs he still had time for us. We no longer can do many of the household repairs we used to do. We will definitely be using Quality Carpentry for all our household needs - large projects and small.

We had bare lumber steps into our new sunroom and Tom covered the steps in hardwood and did a very good job. My wife and I are both pleased with the result and others have commented favorably too. Throughout the process Tom was professional, pleasant, flexible, and prompt. We are satisfied with everything about this job.

This is the second time that I have worked with Tom, and just as with my last project, he did a great job. I had several odd construction projects, including making a lean-to shed, re-roofing a generator building, and insulating and paneling another structure. He had previously done some interior trim work for me at the same location. Tom came up with detailed plans of the projects based on my descriptions, and worked very quickly. He communicated well with me throughout the process, and kept me continually updated on his progress. He is obviously a very experienced carpenter, and had no problem working with a wide variety on construction projects, from framing and roofing, to detailed and precise interior work. His prices were very reasonable, and he had a detailed and accurate estimate up front. Tom was also very prompt and reliable, and finished all the projects very efficiently. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled carpenter, and I certainly plan on using him again myself for any other carpentry or construction projects that I may have in the future.

Was interviewed and an estimate was given by Tom Van de Riet, along with an approximate date when the work would be started. During the period of time I was waiting for the work to begin Tom would periodically send me a text to remind me that he was coming to do the work. Felt this was excellent customer relations. The work started on the day he told me and he was very prompt in showing up every day, for a total of 5 days, And the work was completed when he said. The replacement of my soffit was outstanding. Every thing was meticulously done and Tom even went above and beyond and did some painting around the frame of the soffit to make it appear fresh and new. Each day at the end of his work day he picked up all scraps, discarded them, then swept the area and made it look like nothing had been done. He is trustworthy and dependable. I received his name as a reference from my sister and have given his name to others as a referral for projects. I would use him for other projects. He is an asset to his profession, and you wouldn't go wrong to use his services.

I have used Tom twice for structural repairs. He is prompt, clean, neat, polite and explains all in detail. He is totally thorough in his work.

Tom was very responsive and punctual for our project where he sanded down a door frame to help a semi-stuck door work better. He was very professional and a pleasure to work with. We will strongly consider hiring him again for similar work.

Tom was very responsive in coming to our house to review what we needed done, submitting a bid and scheduling the work. He decided the profile of some of the purchased molding wasn't going to be an acceptable match to existing molding in our family room. Fortunately, Tom was able to remove the original molding (from inside the closet) and install it above the closet door. The finished job looks great and is paint ready as we requested. Tom was neat and very conscientious..

Had Quality Carpentry and Remodeling LLC come out to check out a project for adding some windows and door. Came out the very next day and gave some really helpful advice for the project.

Tom responded to my initial request for an estimate. Something several other carpenters did not do. He came out for the estimate as scheduled. We then had a death in the family and Tom worked around our schedule as needed. He ordered the pieces for the front door. Unluckily the company he was getting the pieces from messed up the order. Tom was very communicative about the delays even though he had no control over them. Tom showed up for the job on time as scheduled. He replaced the woodwork and did a great job painting and caulking. The framework looks great!!

While remodeling a room in our home, had to remove a chair rail, damaged the dry wall, prompting me to call to Tom. It was the second time we worked with him and continue to be impressed. He was quick to respond to my request for a quote, offered a very reasonable price, and finished the job ahead of his initial schedule. Tom is an artist. The room looks great.

It is a pleasure doing business with Thomas Van de Riet. He coordinates with my tenant to fix all the little things that need to be done around the house. He has installed pull-down attic access steps, fixed a mailbox, replaced the lattice around a deck, and fixed a louvered pantry door. I will definitely call him for any other projects that arise.

Tom replaced two French doors leading to my deck. These doors had been slightly leaky since I had moved in 20 years ago, and I finally decided to replace them. He installed the doors on time. The cost he quoted increased slightly due to damage found in the subflooring at the base of the doors. But he warned me ahead of time that was a probability, and the increase was very reasonable. He repaired the subflooring and replaced the doors, and it looks great.

Tom did a wonderful job of creating my vision of a Custom Bookcase/Secret Door. Fits perfectly into place guests get a kick out of seeing it not to mention I love using the room as a reading nook. Can't recommend Tom enough for his work.

We hired Tom of Quality Construction to complete a deck that was started, but not completed, by someone else. Tom listened carefully to us about what we had been through, and what we wanted. Since we had no permits, Tom spent a lot of time obtaining those permits, Once we finally had all the permits, Tom did a fantastic job. Our project was filled with challenges due to the prior guy, so Tom had to not only work around the mess, but often, correct shoddy work done by the last guy. Again, due to constraints of our existing structure, Tom had to get creative and come up with solutions that not only passed inspection, but also made us happy. He did that, and more! Tom constantly kept us updated on progress, even sending me pictures of the work. One day, I came home and found him working in the rain! He’s definitely committed to doing the work as promised, on time and on budget. We’re very pleased with the finished product, and we will definitely hire Tom for future projects.

Thomas did a beautiful job. The fence is attractive and very well built. Thomas showed up when he said he would and finished quickly and on time . The next time we need a home improvement we will definitely call Thomas!
