Norse Construction, LLC is a unique small business. Over my 30 plus years of construction I've had numerous customers tell me of contractors who don't show up, don't clean up after themselves, build what THEY want and NOT what the homeower wants. Its simple. I started Norse simply because you should have what YOU want and when you want it - period.

Description of Work: We had Norse Construction remove our old shower and build us a shower room, also set our new cabinets. A LOT of the work was done while we were out of town. The shower and cabinets look great! Norse was great to deal with...no $$$ up front was a real confidence builder. My only complaint was that the material of the floor build up had to be changed, and since we were out of town, we didn't know that until we got home. It was higher than we had expected too. Bruce did explain it to us; we understand why, just wasn't thrilled. The guys he used were cordial, polite and professional. I would definitely refer him to anyone who asked.

Description of Work: The sales rep came out and discussed our needs - gave us a quote in quick order. However, they were not able to supply cabinets or even suggest a source other than Home Depot, etal. Kitchen flooded and completely ripped out and needed a new kitchen installed right away.

Response from Norse Construction, LLC
Forgive me, sir. I thought I mentioned that I do have accounts with two suppliers but that my pricing would probably not be that much better than Lowes or Home Depot. In all honesty, that is true of most contractors unless they are installing 50 to 60 kitchens a year. The estimate I provided listed only an allowance for the cabinets in combination with my installation cost. That way, as a convenience, you had information at your fingertips to competitively shop the cabinets anyplace you wished, whether from my supplier or on line or somebody else. I am also a bit confused as there was no contracted price of $8000 nor was any drywall done nor kitchen remodel work done. The only service was to provide an estimate under the "Drawings in Hand" Big Deal program offered by Angie's List. To my knowledge, an estimate complete with drawings was provided. I was at your house at 4 pm and by 9 pm that evening you had your estimate. A week and a half later you sent an email stating you were going with your insurance company's contractor. Agian, I do apologize for any confusion with regards to the cabinet supplier. I did not go into any detail simply because at the time of an estimate, its a bit premature. Either way, I do hope your kitchen project is going well with whatever contractor you chose. Thank you.

Description of Work: Replaced ceilings in 4 different rooms and sanded down to be ready for paint. Bruce gave great details with his proposal and had it broken up to where I could choose to take care of certain parts to help me save money. I would have given an A but unfortunately a helper had been injured on a different job and wasn't able to come help get the job done. Bruce tried getting another person to come help but it took a few days to get another person. It was unfortunate but these things happen. I believe Bruce was genuinely sorry for the delay this caused. The finished work looked great. Fair warning, pulling down ceilings is a huge mess no matter what. Bruce did a great job of tapping off doors and such to minimize the amount of dust throughout the rest of my place.
