Ryan, who did most of the work, was excellent. He was always on time, very courteous, answered any questions we had, and always cleaned up after each day's work. We were thrilled with the how the kitched turned out. The only issue we had was some scratches on the vinyl tile flooring, which Darryll said he would be happy to replace, if we wanted to. The lighting is so much better than it was (canned lighting versus a dome light in the middle). The final product really enhances the value of the entire house.

We met with Darryl regarding bathroom(s) remodel. We appreciated his professionalism, knowledge of the work to be done and prompt response to our request, but for our own reasons we chose another contractor.

He arrived on time and was very professional. I have a small kitchen and asked about knocking a wall out to open the space up to the dining room He suggested I leave the wall up as it might be cost prohibitive and I would lose the space for cabinets (which i really needed). We discussed the "quality" of materials, cabinets, ceramic tile flooring and granite countertops they would use, deciding on using mid-range products. Darrell told me it would take about a week to get the bid back and gave me an overview of their work hours and expectations. I received a quote from Darrell within the time frame he designated. Darrell was quick to respond to questions I had about the scope of work and his bid. The bid amount came in at just under $27,696 without appliances. I felt this was high due to the size of my kitchen and since that didn't include knocking down any walls, putting in a backsplash or using high-end cabinetry. I was impressed by Darrell's knowledge and his professionalism. I ultimately used another contractor who came in substantially lower including appliances, Armstrong cabinets, granite countertops, travertine tile backsplash and ceramic tile flooring as well as knocking the top half of the wall down giving me the best of both worlds with extra cabinetry, open design and extra counterspace.

They were extremely professional throughout the entire process. We had no hassles with this contractor. The on-site manager, John, was extremely helpful, and found several ways to slightly improve the end result (eliminated a small wall which made placing the washer difficult, did a nice job placing the cutoff valves, getting everything inspected, etc. Overall, we were really pleased with the way the work was done, and with the end result. If you are looking for a no-hassle/professional contractor, I highly recommend them.

It went well. I had no complaints about any of the work. They were all very professional, the estimator and the installers as well. I have already contacted them to do more work.

They are very good and reliable. I like them. Their employers are very nice. They are always here on time and they clean up after themselves. I have no complaints. I have used them before and I would continue to use them.

The work went as smooth as could be. Angie told me what to expect each day. She is wonderful, willing to help you decide on whatever you need help with. I really appreciated her input, could not have done it all without her. After the work started I did make a change or two, and Darryll patiently worked with me on the changes. His concern was giving me the kitchen I wanted and he did! G.A.Chott is all about pleasing the customer and making things right. Ryan cleaned up each day, sweeping and vaccuming. There were times I couldn't make up my mind about something, but Ryan was patient (even when I had a cabinet door switched three times and then going with the way it was originallly done). He had a lot of good suggestions, which I really appreciated. He is a very competent carpenter and I did look to him for advice on many items. Kitchen was completed on time and when friends and family saw it they all said it looks like it came out of a home remodeling magazine. They felt like they were stepping into a kitchen straight from a magazine. Could not be more beautiful, functional, high quality goods and installation. Transformation from old to new is amazing. l G A Chott and Associates is a wonderful company. Integrity and ethical comes to mind when I think of all their good qualities. I highly recommend this company. I contracted them to replace several atrium windows and to patch a large section of open flooring in our living room that had previously been an open stairwell. Unlike many of the contractors that I have worked with in the past, this company was prompt, courteous, and professional. They showed up when they said they would, and completed the work on time. The quality of the work was excellent. I would definitely use them again.

Very professional company, although it did take a a while to get the estimate back (between a week and 2 weeks).

they said they would have the work completed in time for thanksgiving. they had me ready for the holiday. Darryll helped design the job and gave me a very detailed and accurate estimate. Matt did the work. He was meticulous with the work. He also cleaned and left my home clean every day and at the end of the job. Everything is as advertised and bid. The company worked hard to ensure I would be ready for the holiday. I recommend them to everyone and will definitely use them again.

Our experience with G.A. Chott & Associattes was excellent from start to finish. Very detailed estimate and proposal was easy to understand. Everyone was super friendly and professional to work with. They were very flexible, even accommodating some last minute changes which were made to the original design. All work was excellent quality: tearout, tilework, plumbing, electrical, drywall. Our job passed all necessary inspections.

Total guest bathroom remodel. We were going to refurbish the bathroom ourselves and had purchased a vanity, granite top and sink, but after getting into the project we realized that we needed a contractor. We got several bids, two of which were from contactors listed on Angie?s list and chose GA Chott after meeting with Darryl several times. We were impressed with his knowledge, willingness to work within the parameters that we had, and his open and honest way of doing business. He drew up a contract with all specifics listed out and after going over it with us, drew up another contract because of changes that we needed made. He assisted and advised us in picking out toilet, tub, and faucets and provided a supplier that assisted us in picking out the tile for the floor. We had a set-in medicine cabinet that needed to be updated and Darryl suggested a custom built one for replacement with a cabinet door that matched the vanity style that we purchased prior to working with him. He also custom built a matching mirror that hangs over the vanity with matching trim from the same cabinet company that made the medicine cabinet door. All three pieces, the vanity, the mirror, and the medicine cabinet all look like they were purchased together because they match so well. After securing all permits, ordering all materials, Darryl waited to start the project until everything had been delivered and was ready to go so that our house was in remodeling mode for the least amount of time possible. Mike, a kind, talented, and skillful remodeler, was assigned our job and coordinated permit checks and did all the work skillfully and thoroughly on the bathroom from start to finish. Special attention was paid to every aspect of the project and care taken to not affect other parts of our home. Floors were covered with cardboard and secured and a special tacky plastic was adhered to the carpeted areas to prevent wear and dirt from project. The finished bathroom is wonderful and working with GA Chott was a enjoyable experience. We definitely recommend GA Chott. Their workmanship, professionalism, knowledge and thoughtfulness are superior to any other contractor we have ever worked with.

James work was above all expectations. On time, courteous, and truly a skilled craftsman.

Very good experience with GA Chott. The work was quality and the workmen did an exceptional job of keeping the area clean. Each evening when they left the work site was very clean.

Consummate professionals. Set your clock by Darryll. He is efficient, honest, thorough...and extremely nice, as were all the staff I encountered. Every detail is anticipated and covered. The job starts only after materials are in and checked, minimizing down time for the homeowner. Floors, adjacent areas and furniture are protected with plastic sheeting & cardboard. Angie is superb at staying in close communication about scheduling. James is a talented craftsman who is personally pleasant to be around but also unflappable in the face of any situation that may arise. The overall experience was positive and the final result is excellent. I love my new kitchen! I couldn't be more pleased and I will definitely have them back for future projects (already thinking about a bathroom remodel)..

Darry of GA Schott was extremely professional, courteous, and prompt. He gave us a bid on our project promptly. While we went with another provider we will contact him for bids on future projects and would have no problem using him.

To say we are pleased with the job that Darryll and his crew did is an understatement. This contractor excells in all aspects of the job! From the professional manner in which Darryll reviewed our needs and then put together his bid to the final payment day in which he brought all the requisite paperwork along with taking pictures of our magnificent PURPLE door the company was exceptional. I was especially impressed with the level of communication they had, if there was a change in plans we got a phone call from Angie at least 2 to 3 days in advance asking us if we were OK with the schedule. We designed our front entrance to be inviting and the concrete walkway is now a lovely curved path leading to our half hexagon new porch. The concrete guy worked with me in getting the curves just right and we love it.We just wish that all contractors were like G.A. Chott and Darryll.

Excellent.The project kept changing before the start. Darnell was very responsive.The onside crew was amazing. punctual, friendly, very helpful, and clear about any issues.John and Ryan were great.Even our labradors loved the crew.

Darryll came out promptly and gave us a bid. After a bit of back and forth about what we wanted, he adjusted the bid. He told us he would start in six weeks, and that it would take 2-3 weeks, all of which is exactly what happened. John Honey did most of the job himself, with an electrician and plumber, and we couldn't be happier with the results. They respected all of our picky details for our 110-year-old house. They created the closet and systems, installed the washer and dryer, laid an Onyx shower base and tiled, etc. Not only would we use them again, we are going to use them again. This experience was so night and day from a previous, pre-Angie LIst experience we had with a contractor, it's hard to even compare the two. GA Chott does excellent work, as promised, and follows through.

Went well over all, with a couple of surprises. When the flooring was removed the plumbing and joists needed additional rework/repair. Darryll took the time to point all the issues. Except for the unexpected plumbing cost, job came in fairly close to budget. Timeline went longer than planned but that was chiefly due to the unforseen plumbing issues, and some delay on our part choosing materials. Matt and Darryll were very professional at all times. Great experience would use again. Matt added some additional touches like a window sill.

Over the last several years I had begun to finish my basement, but it was going too slowly and I needed to get some help to just get it done. I don't think this type of job (taking over a job in the middle) is ideal for contractors, so I was glad GA Chott agreed to do it. I talked to a few other companies and they didn't seem all that interested. GA Chott's bid seemed fair and we agreed I would supply all the materials and do some of the work, like painting. They're a well-organized company and presented me with a contract, payment schedule, etc... at the beginning, and then documented all the changes to the contract in writing as we went along. Once I made the first payment and signed the contract, it took a while to get the permits and get on the schedule, but once they started, work progressed at a nice pace. Our main worker was John and he was outstanding. He had some other people helping him out here and there, and they seemed pretty good too. Their subcontracted electricians were ok and their carpet installers were good. They were quick to finish up the framing and that went great. I'd meet with the worker every morning to make sure we were on the same page and to see what materials I needed to buy for them. We had a couple design changes as we went along, but they were always accommodating and willing to make adjustments we asked about. A couple times there were misunderstandings and they had to go back and redo things, but they always did what they had to to make us happy. Then they put up the drywall and then there was a long delay while I slowly painted everything. After a couple months I called them back and they installed all the trim and stair rail. We passed all the inspections with only some minor issues, which was great. In the end I had to pay a few thousand extra for all the changes and additions we made, but I knew that was coming so it wasn't a big deal. To sum up, I was happy with GA Chott and I would use them again in the future. I don't have alot of experience hiring contractors, but they seemed like a professional company that did quality work at a fair price.

All aspect from covering floors and furniture, to daily clean up was thorough. The worker was courteous and advised us of the status and progress. All together it was a very satisfying experience.

They were great. The only thing that I needed from them was a countertop, so they handed me off to the company that does their countertop. Something happened then and they were late getting back to me, but they apologized.
