 + -1 moreWe would highly recommend Scott Quinby to set up a new computer and/or for troubleshooting computer problems including internet connection issues and wireless internet installation. Scott was prompt, knowledgeable and had all the required tools and hardware with him. He told us if we had any problems with the internet connection (we had to see whether it was working OK after he left), that he would return at no extra charge and fix it; we had one small problem, and he returned the next day as promised and fixed it. Everything is working very well, and we are very pleased with the service he provided. It is not inexpensive but worth every cent.
Description of Work: Set up our new Dell computer and transferred software from our older Dell computer to our new Dell computer (which we kept). He also hooked the printer up so it would work from both computers and solved the high speed internet connection problems we were having with Charter - we found that working with the Charter technicians (after extremely long waits on hold) over the phone just wasn't working out. He installed wireless internet connection for both desktop computers and for our laptop computer.

Description of Work: Scott repaired my computer by removing viruses and installing virus protection software. He was able to retrieve my files from the hard drive prior to repairing the hard drive.

 + -1 moreScott was able to give me an appointment very quickly, which I really appreciated. He showed up on time and worked quickly to identify and fix the problem with my computer. As he worked, he explained what he was doing, but he didn't make me feel dumb if he had to explain something in very simple terms! He was polite and friendly. I would definitely hire him again and would certainly recommend his services.
Description of Work: My computer was running very slowly. Scott pinpointed the problem and took steps so that the computer ran at its normal speed. He also made sure that the wireless print server was configured properly. He gave me tips about things I could do to make the computer even faster.

Description of Work: I could receive but not send email and my computer was running slow. He arrived on time, had the email working quickly, then removed a lot of junk from the computer. The computer needs more memory, but the memory sticks he had with him did not fit in my computer. That will have to be done at a later date.

I WOULD NOT THINK TWICE ABOUT GIVING HIS NAME AS A RECOMMENDATION!

Description of Work: I NEEDED A WIRELESS NOTEBOOK SET UP. THIS INCLUDED ASSISTANCE WITH ACCESSING THE PRINTER FROM THE NOTEBOOK, INSTALLING NORTON ANTIVIRUS AND OTHER PROGRAMS BASED ON THE USE OF MY COMPUTERS. IT ALSO INCLUDED EXPLANATIONS OF ALL WORK THAT WAS BEING DONE AND HOW TO ACCESS OR USE THEM. MY PERSONAL PC WAS FIRST SCANNED FOR ANY VIRUS THAT MAY HINDER THE SHARED USE OF THE NOTEBOOK. I WAS UNAWARE THAT SOME OF THE PROGRAMS I HAD ON THE PC WERE BASICALLY DUPLICATES AND WERE SLOWING DOWN THE SPEED OF THE PC. THAT WAS ALSO ADJUSTED SO THE PC WOULD WORK BETTER AND FASTER. I WAS TAUGHT HOW TO USE SOME ADDITIONAL HARDWARE AND MY NEW NOTEBOOK WAS FULLY EXPLAINED TO ME AS FAR AS CAPABILITIES. I ALSO HAD A COUPLE EXTRA REQUESTS IE: SETTING UP THE WIRELESS KEYBOARD AND MOUSE AND SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS TO THE PC. EVERYTHING WAS EXPLAINED CLEARLY AND SO I (WITH LIMITED KNOWLEDGE) COULD CLEARLY UNDERSTAND.
