Description of Work: Replaced Windows, patio door & front door

Description of Work: Installed new sliding door and 14double hung low e glass windows. Installers were good but there was sticky residue over the glass on each window. It would not come off when they tried to clean. It took me several weeks to get someone to talk to me and come out to look at them. It so happened I reached a VP that was in town and he came out to look and reordered all the windows. Replacements were worse than the ones I had. So, they ended up using some cleaning solution to remove residue which worked.

Description of Work: They ordered and made windows for our 3-Season room. They installed them in 20-Degree weather and tried to leave front door open so they would not have to reopen it. The sections of windows were to long by about 1 inch and the installed it them anyway. The windows do not fit and lock right. After several phone calls and emails, short of seeking outside help they did replace some of the worst ones. I had to accept a poor job. They will wore us down trying to them to fix everything the right way. We had to accept poor quality work. We are in our 70's.

Description of Work: Sales rep offered a discount if we signed that night after only after hearing a sales pitch & getting a price scratched down on a piece of paper. Did not sign. Next day calls me & substantially lowers the price. Don't like these sales tactics and no formal proposal on work to be done.

Description of Work: Very happy with the 7 new windows. Installers were professional and friendly, product has had no problems, and everything went as explained. Prices a bit higher than competitors, but I feel good about the guarantee and responsiveness to future issues.

Description of Work: Looked on Angie's list for replacement windows, as we need two where we had window air conditioners. Saw Champion and a coupon listed for $25 for $250 worth of service. I called the number next to the offer and the person at Angie's list told me I could get them for $20 each, so she processed two of them for me. All I received was the order# she gave me verbally and just told me to tell the salesman. So I made an app''t for a quote, and told them at that time I had coupons, but did not mention the amount. The salesman got here, and basically measured, which is all I wanted done considering I had heard their pitch 10 years prior and didn't want to hear another 3 hour pitch. As we sat on the couch and he started his calculations, I saw him write a figure, $1740, at the bottom of the sheet. This is what he told me two windows would cost. I reminded him of the coupons, and gave him the number and after playing with his calculator again, told me basically that I had already received a $500 discount for buying less than three windows and that was the best price I was going to get since I couldn't get two discounts. Long story short, I called his supervisor the next day, and voiced a complaint about my coupons basically being ignored. He called me back later that day and offered to take the price down to somewhere in the $1650 range. I told him I would not accept that as a peace offering and told them i would not be doing business with them. Am requesting a refund on the two coupons I purchased less than 30 days ago. Would not recommend Champion Window and Door based on this.

Description of Work: Replaced 3 kitchen windows. Contacted Champion in March for estimate to replace 3 kitchen windows. Sales rep Shelly Adcock came out 3/24/14 to appraise/estimate replacing existing windows. Shelly was punctual, very pleasant and extremely knowledgeable on all Champion's window products. After evaluating the project to be done he then showed us samples of available Champion windows and helped us pick the one best suited for our needs. After choosing our new window, Shelley explained that one of their installers, Tim, would contact us to make arrangements to come out and remeasure the window size for accuracy. After remeasuring Tim would confirm measurements with Shelly who would then order the windows. Estimated time of delivery for new windows would be approximately 6 weeks. Windows arrived on schedule and installation was completed. Installer Tim, was also punctual, pleasant and knowledgeable on installing windows. Based on our very positive experience I would recommend Champion. |

Description of Work: Replaced windows in living room and master bedroom. Workmen were very courteous and cleaned up all debris. They explained work and answered any questions I had. On second day of work, supervisor and manager came by to review and answer any other questions I had. My husband had used Champion to replace patio sliding door and other windows in 1997, and we also used Champion for new double front door and door from garage into house in 2000-2001. We also have had Champion replace patio screen door when dog ran through it, and replace window where glass was broken. These items were covered by their warranty/guarantee, and work was done quickly with no dispute. We have been very satisfied with all work we have had done by Champion.

Description of Work: Windows had a sticky substance all over glass. 14 windows and sliding door. It took me numerous calls and follow up over 4 months to get this addresses. The local manager here in St. Louis was very difficult to work with ended up calling main factory. The product itself is top notch. Replacements had the same sticky substance on them. The solution was to clean the glass which they did. Months later they are streaky.
