+ -1 moreAnco promptly sent Brian out on 1/12/07 and without checking anything else, he said that the plastic rollers were bad. He gave me a quote and I told him to replace them. After he finished, he put it up and down. After he left, I went to run errands and the door failed. When I called them back, they said they would send someone out on 1/15. Mark came out, said that it was a part on the garage door opener that needed adjusting which he did. He did not charge me as I complained that Brian did not check out anything, just visually looked at the rollers. The door failed again the next day and I called again. Brian came back on 1/17 and said the sensitivity needed adjusting. The door has worked since then but makes a lot of noise, due to the cover not being replaced properly. I kept the removed rollers and have had a man, that spent 20 years with a door garage door co., look at them and he said there was nothing wrong with them, they did not need replacing. Door was new in 2001.
Description of Work: Garage door would open part way when activated and then immediately go back up, doing this over a period of a few days. Sometimes it worked ok, but after a few times of this, it refused to open or close.

+ -1 moreI was pleased someone was available to take my call on a Sunday. Said they would call back between 7:30 & 8 a.m. Mon to let me know when they would be there. No one called. When I called at 9, I was told the service person was on a job but almost done and would be at my house shortly. I took that to mean a 1/2 hour to an hour. No one showed up until 12. Once here though, the service man fixed the spring in record time, answered our questions and showed us how to maintain the door. I really have nothing to base my price rating on as I have never had a spring replaced, but it didn't seem too expensive.

It was very nice that I was shown the problem before the work was done with cost estimate. After the problem was fixed, they asked if I wanted any preventive work done now without any pressure. I was very satisfied, and they were reasonably priced.
Description of Work: Replaced gear sprocket assembly, all rollers, and general maintenance.
