"This company is absolutely fantastic! Tony is so professional and a really great guy. He bid me a price for some work that turned out to be much more complicated than originally thought. He did not try and increase his price and did the work for the pre-determined rate. In addition, I had a tv he was supposed to hang that was brand new in the box. When he opened it, he discovered the screen was shattered. I was able to return the tv and he is coming back out on a separate trip to hang it. He has really gone above and beyond. I cannot recommend him more highly."

The modern suburban and small town home of today has become an ideal lightning target. The home owner would do well to recognize lightning for the destructive force that it is and protect against this major life and fire hazard. Donohue's Lightning Rods is based in Missouri, near the factory where most of the residential and commercial lightning rod supplies are manufactured. Jim travels regularly to Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New York. Call today to find out when Jim will be in your area. For installations outside Missouri, Kansas, or Texas, Jim waits until there are a few customers lined up, thus being able to provide the same quality services at affordable prices. **WE DO NOT DO ELECTRICAL SERVICES.** (ONLY LIGHTNING RODS)
"The man who did the job were awesome. They were very thorough, professional, and speedy. They left our church grounds spotless. I could not recommend them highly enough."

There is so much to tell about Auto Art Collision and Restoration Shop, it’s hard to know where to begin. Have you ever heard the old saying, “If you find a job you like, you will never work a day in your life?” That statement is the essence of Auto Art. Well, that and proper training, positive attitudes, giving back to the community, and doing a great job every time! We are a collision and restoration shop filled with people who love what they do. We all come from different walks of life with wildly varying backgrounds. Our common denominator is we all want to be here doing what we do to make Auto Art the dynamic business it has become over the last 30 years. Everyone at Auto Art is dedicated to our industry in a way that’s hard to accept is factual. We have heated debates about Mopar vs. Ford (Chevy, Nissan, BMW, etc). Our shop is always alive with discussions about our industry and repair techniques. We have genuine, heartfelt, regret for our whole industry when we uncover substandard work from another shop. We are men and woman who really care about the work we perform. It is at our core, and we radiate it in our approach from answering the phone to repairing or modifying your vehicle. Auto Art works on all cars, trucks and SUV’s no matter the manufacturer. We have worked with every major insurance company and hundreds you probably haven’t heard of. Fonz Leaning on JukeboxMany auto body shops work on either restorations or collision work. We proudly do both. We have technicians trained to handle anything you can throw at us from a brand new model year vehicle or one of the first vehicles ever manufactured. Auto Art can properly repair just about anything a manufacturer has ever dreamed up. For over 30 years Auto Art has been building it’s reputation backed by a “No questions asked warranty.” When it comes to doing things right, we give you straight forward, honest answers, so you know what to expect. We don’t cut corners, and we can sleep at night knowing every vehicle that has left our shop was repaired properly with no compromises. Bill Anselmo has a phrase to sum up any questions a technician has when repairing a vehicle, “Fix it like its yours!” Put us to the test, stop by the shop anytime and talk cars with us. We bet you’re hard pressed to find a group of people more happily rooted in what they love to do. Simply put, Auto Art has impeccable references and a long standing reputation for quality work backed up by pride in a job well done. Auto Art is very active in the community, not only the historic Hill neighborhood, but also surrounding St. Louis area neighborhoods, lending support to many charities and events all year round.

Full service electrical contractor
"Doug provided a free evaluation and estimate, then completed all of the work very quickly once scheduled. Customer services with Summit Electric is top notch! Everyone was personable and friendly. Doug had his work cut out for him on that vent hood (who designs these things? not easy!) but within a short time, he had repaired that perfectly, fixed all of the issues with our can lights (including replacing a switch and trouble-shooting a problematic fixture), and replaced the sump pump outlet as well. He was super friendly, explained everything as he went through the work, and worked very quickly. Far more economical than the bloated estimates from the "big guys" in town and absolutely stellar service. I will definitely hire Summit Electric for all of my future electrical needs."

Installing a whole-house generator costs about $5,000 on average. Prices range from $1,550 to $8,500, depending on size, brand, fuel type, and assembly. The size of your whole-house generator is the most significant cost factor, with large homes with high energy demands costing the most to power. Types of whole-home generators include:
Portable generators with 1kW–7.5kW capacity: $500–$2,000
Partial generators with 9kW–20kW capacity: $2,000–$6,300
Whole-house generators with 22kW–48kW: $5,000–$18,000
When maintained properly, a whole-house generator can last up to 20 years. Costs to maintain and repair generators vary by location and type of generator, but you can expect to pay about $150 to $300 per year for annual generator maintenance checks. An experienced generator service technician will inspect your generator’s engine filter, starting mechanism, fuel, lubrication, and coolant levels to keep your generator in good working condition for as long as possible.
When choosing the right size generator for your needs, consider a few items to help calculate the wattage you’ll need. Start by determining which household items and appliances you want to power, and then add the wattages together. Check out the wattage of these essential appliances:
Refrigerator: 600 watts
Large dehumidifier: 700 watts
Large window air conditioner: 1,400 watts
Water heater: 3,000 watts
Running home appliances like these requires a partial or whole-house generator. A portable generator may be enough to power your home if you only plan to keep a refrigerator and freezer running.
Here’s what you can run with different wattages and types of generators:
Portable generator:
2,000 watts can handle a large appliance like a freezer or refrigerator, plus a few smaller items like phones or computer chargers.
4,000 watts will keep two large appliances operating and a few smaller devices.
8,000 watts should power most essential appliances and other devices, including a sump pump, well pump, or your dishwasher.
Partial to whole-house generator:
20,000 watts and above will make it seem like your home’s power is still on.
The value of installing a whole-house generator is that your home has guaranteed power, even if the power grid in your area is down. Whether a whole-house generator is worth installing in your home depends on how often you use it, your home’s location, and your lifestyle. For example, installing a whole-house generator is likely worth it if you:
Experience frequent or prolonged power outages
Work from home
Store a lot of cold food
Have a sump pump
Have a pump for well water
Use electronic medical devices
Live in a climate requiring heating or cooling
