It went great, Anthony was on site during the entire process. Everyone that sees the landscaping is amazed at how it has transformed the space. Although I was not originally prepared to spend as much as I did it was worth it and I am glad I didn't try to do it in stages. I think that I am creative but I could not have up with anything like the design that Anthony did.

It was a great experience.

I called Frisella Nursery twice in the 3rd week of August to request a bid on approximately $ 11,000 - $ 16,000 in work, and had to leave a message both times. Frisella Nursery did not bother calling me back until three weeks later (the first week of September). At that point, I did not want them to give a bid. Lack of customer service says a lot. If it takes that long to get a call back, I don't want to think about how long it would take to get the work done.

I have long wanted to plant some fruit trees in my back yard, but until my neighbor cut down a big old tree, it was just not practical. The lost of the old black walnut was what gave me the chance to plant some trees. I considered several nursery's but Frisella's had the apple trees I wanted and they were already rooted which would give me a year sooner yield. I was pretty happy with the trees, I purchased them late in the season and to my surprise the trees were pretty good looking even after being pretty picked over. They held them for me as I researched specific varieties and helped me with the research. Se discussed placement, including a site visit, and some emailed photos. They were all great, with some very interesting characters and dedicated people who have definite opinions which really gave me a different feel from the others stores in which most people seemed to be just drawing a pay check. The price for the install was reasonable, they put them where I wanted, they called "Dig Right" which I forgot about and actually had to adjust for (thanks guys). I had to be out of town and they planted them for me anyway because I did not want to wait. Overall, a very good experience.

Frisella Nursery Inc has a great selection of plants. they do a great job. i would recommend them to anyone. i will use them again in the future.

the start-up was delayed a bit longer than I anticipated, but once they started, they worked hard, and worked long days. Very professional workers, some have been with Frisella for over 10 years!

Working with Frisella Nursery was a great experience from start to finish. Building a house can be fraught with many times wondering, "Did I do the right thing?" Instead, we found ourselves saying throughout the entire time working with Frisella, "Wow, what a great decision. Aren't we lucky we're working with them?!" We didn't know where to start on landscaping as we neared the end of construction on our new weekend lake house. The exterior was a big, bald construction site and we wanted to get back some of the Missouri landscape beauty it had before the build. We talked with several landscaping firms but Frisella Nursery won us over right from the start. Tony Frisella met with us on several occasions at the site, patiently and expertly listening to our wants and needs and sharing his ideas. We also went to the Frisella Nursery store in Defiance (St. Charles, MO), and Tony took us in his Mule vehicle to look at all the different kinds of trees and plantings he was recommending, which was very helpful. His genuine enthusiasm for our new house and the project was so affirming. His team developed a comprehensive, color landscape plan that diagrammed the entire plan, and made it so easy to visualize the end result, fine tune things, and ultimately make the big decision to move ahead -- with confidence. Also, their bid was more competitive than the others. The Frisella team worked like clock-work. They performed high-quality work, true to the plan, in a timely, efficient, reliable, trustworthy, courteous fashion. We were stunned at how quickly they accomplished things, yet did so in such an expert fashion. Tony says his team has been with him for years. It showed. It really was a close-knit, committed team of experts. Every aspect of the finished project is spectacular: it's beautiful, integrated and just feels like it all belongs there (nothing is forced, over-the-top, or cooky). The trees and plantings are absolutley perfect with our lot and surroundings, with our house and with the other landscape elements (boulder wall, out-croppings, stone stairs, etc.). The stone Tony picked for our stairs and the boulder wall is gorgeous -- not solely one color (as is seen so often), but many different colors (greys, caramels, tans, etc) that pick up the colors of nature. He softened the look of the boulder with beautiful plantings in front of it and others on top that cascade down. The sculpted, curved stone stairs down to the lake are gorgeous. Tony's team are true experts, fitting these large stones together like an intricate puzzle. His team also designed and built a lovely paver patio underneath one of our decks. People come down the deck stairs and it literally takes their breath away. It's gorgeous. The firepit is so awesome and the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows (which we do almost every weekend). We also used Frisella's irrigation division for our sprinkler system. The lead person in irrigation is Jake, and just like Tony, he was so genuinely interested and engaged with our project, very knowledgeable, and a very friendly, enjoyable person to deal with. The irrigation system was planned and laid in the same orderly, well-conceived and expert fashion. It was both reassuring and convenient having the same company that had done all the landscaping also do the irrigation. We knew they'd know exactly how to care for all the lovely landscape that had just been planted. I grew up hearing my parents rave about Frisella Nursery, and now here I am saying the same thing. I know we'll be enjoying their landscaping work at our lake home for many years to come. P.S. We're now using Frisella for new work at our primary residence in town.

The workers were meticulous, hard working and very knowledgeable. They used plywood to minimize damage to existing lawn, and they cleaned up each day and after the job was done. The job was completed on time, and I received more than expected. The patio is beautiful, and the plants were chosen as per my expectations. Frisella Nursery made my small back yard into the sanctuary that I asked for.

We were impressed with Anthony's knowledge, thoroughness and professionalism from start to finish. He was the third contractor who came out to view the project and draw up a bid. During our first of three walkthroughs, he pointed out several key bid items that were crucial to the job that the other landscapers had missed. His design skills are fantastic. He was sensitive to our budget concerns, and he drew up three design options for the wall at various price points. We were pleasantly surprised that the boulder wall priced out the same as a versalock wall, and we are so happy that he guided us toward the boulder option. The boulder wall looks much more natural and in keeping with the nature of our property. We hit a major snag the first day of work. The utility lines in the side yard weren't buried as deeply as expected, which forced a design change from one retaining wall to a two-tier wall. Anthony notified us immediately, and we worked together to develop a viable Plan B. Anthony provided us his home, work and cell phone numbers so that we could reach him at any time with questions we had. His employees were equally conscientious, hardworking and responsive to our questions. They worked through a Saturday in order to take advantage of the warm weather. Anthony was here most days, at the very least to check on his crew's progress and on several days he himself worked the Bobcat for at least part of the day's work. We added on several jobs as the project progressed: cutting down three trees, building the gravel road, installing the sod. Anthony and his crew started on each new item within the day. There were a couple days when we expected them to be working, and they didn't show, but we weren't bothered by it. We understand the nature of landscaping work, and that sometimes resources must be pulled for other projects. The work finished this past Friday, and we're delighted every time we look out at our new yard and patio. We recommend Frisella Nursery with the highest praise.

Excellent--Professional--Timely--Hard Workers

Frisella did an overall excellent job with our new home landscaping. We continue to get very positive comments regarding our landscaping. We loved the design and the selection of plants was very good. Frisella has their own nursery so they grow many of their own plants and most trees for use in landscaping. Many of our neighbors used Frisella after they saw the work that was done at our house. We were very well satisfied and would highly recommend him to our family and friends.

The plan was well executed with a very capable and talented crew. The result exceeded our expectations. We have had nothing but compliments from neighbors, friends and family on the results. It should be noted that each phase of the project was done with the appropriate people for the job; the patio grading, base, and installation of the pavers; the men that did the edging, and the men that did the planting. The crew also used plywood sheets to protect the lawn, not part of the project, from the Bobcat tracks. They cleaned up after each day of work, all was kept neat. This spring, everything came back and looks even better than last year. I will use them in the future when we upgrade and have an irrigation system designed and installed.

Working with Tony Frisella and his crew has been wonderful. His family has been in the nursery and landscaping business for generations, and he takes a personal interest in making sure that everything is done well. Although the weather was not cooperative during the major backyard renovations, Tony and his crew worked efficiently to produce exactly the kind of terraced garden I had envisioned. He and his staff guided our choices of plantings to result in a beautiful landscape that we can manage ourselves, and that grows more beautiful every year. When we began to have some problems with leaking in our basement several years later, I had a number of drainage specialists come and make estimates for the work. (Our house sits on a steep downhill slope, and 30+ years of erosion and soil shifting had resulted in some problems during the rainy season.) When people started talking about a need to tear out my new patio to install drains (to the tune of $25,000+), I immediately called Tony for advice! He was here the next day, and determined that we needed a swale (shallow ditch) dug strategically along the top of our ridge, to divert the rainwater that was flowing from the filed at the top of our hill. His crew did the work in less than a day, resulting in an effective solution that saved us tens of thousands of dollars.

The majority of the installation was completed in two days in February with minimal disruption to us. Followup was needed to complete and activate the irrigation system during the first week in May. Additional work was performed in late April to replant grass in areas adjacent to the landscaping that were disturbed during the installation.
