vWe purchased a older 1.5 story home that required an additional HVAC for the second floor. Several HVAC contractors on Angie's List, including a contractor previously selected to replace the HVAC on the carriage house were considered. The award of the contract was given to Crystal Heating and Cooling, with the owner, yours truly, regretting that they were not considered for the first effort. The proposal for the effort came in at about 23% lower than the remainder of the bids, including a high bid at about 1.8 times of the Crystal Heating and Cooling. The other other, AND VERY IMPORTANT THING TO NOTE, all of the other bids did not included the installation of the electrical runs from the electrical panel to the condenser or the air handlers. The Crystal Heating and Cooling included the whole and complete package and the decision to contract their services, was made on the spot, as was the appointment for the installation. Installation started with the Foreman and assigned crew doing a walk through. Everything was explained and time line provided and the work began. The blower was installed in the attic as specified and as discussed during the walk-through. Now is a good time to let you know that the technicians had to go though extraordinary measure to run electric and lines through a 7"+ concrete floor, a basement and a crawlspace plus a very thick exterior wall in less than ideal Winter conditions. There was a communications issue with the type and how the ducting was installed. A call to the Sales Manager resulted in the Foreman and the Sales Manager calling us and the assigned technicians. The problem was addressed and things were made right. I am however still lamenting that I did not use Crystal City Heating and Cooling for the prior job.

Overall this whole experience was great from sales to installation. Everyone was professional from start to finish and very courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

Good idea to check Angie's list before hiring anyone. That's were I checked out Crystal at and they were true to their reviews.

The serviceman was able to determine that there was debris in the refrigerant line that was causing the a/c problem and corrected it. I also purchased a service agreement, so they will be back out this fall to do a check on my furnace. Very satisfied!

Service was performed the same day I called them and the service person arrived 2 minutes before the estimated arrival time. I will call Crystal Heating and Cooling for future problems and I will recommend them to friends.

The work and professionalism f company encouraged me to buy a repair contract for furnace and air condition.

The last work completed by Chrystal Heating & Cooling was to replace some coils in my air conditioner, and replace some of the coolant. Every time they do a job at my home they are on time - ALWAYS (sometimes even a little early which make it easier for me). This last job was no different - on time, explained what he needed to do and that he would mostly be working in my basement but would also need to go outside and check the unit, and then when the coils were replaced he would need to have everything running for about 15 minutes so he could verify everything was working. This is exactly what he did - very efficient, very informative about the work.

Quick estimate time & scheduling, arrived prompt, extremely competitive price, workers polite and considerate. Cleaned up everything after installation. Couldn't have been more pleased.

We had a contract and they came out every season to clean out everything. The overall experience was excellent. They are punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this provider again.

Paid for yearly in the spring. Excellent plan at a reasonable cost. Includes emergency and after hour service at regular rates and discounts on parts and labor. I had them replace a furnace in my old home. They did an excellent job, no hidden costs etc. Their service personnell are professional, courteous, well qualifed and prompt. I would reccommend them for any heating and cooling needs from system installation to maintence and repair.

Made appt for crystal heating and cooling to come out and look at our system . Dennis crocker was punctual on time for the appt. he was very knowledgeable and took his time to examine our old system make some recommendations and explain in detail. He also gave us different choices on prices for good, better and best systems to install and had a qoute right away. He was at our house for about 21/2 hours. The quotes were very reasonable for the work being performed. When the crew came out the work was performed in a timely manner. We left the basement door open for them. When we returned from work that day the unit was neatly professionally installed aand the work area was cleaned up. The only issue we had with them was the bill in that they did not have the rebate from the utility company on it . It should have been an instant 850.00 credit off the bill and for some materials not used. Took a few phone calls to dennis and the billing dept. before the matter was settled. But we didnt pay anything till we were completely satisfied. We are now enjoying our new ac unit and having a cool house.

We pay a yearly fee for their services and whenever we have an issue they come out. If they say they are going to be here at a certain time they are. They call ahead of time. Furnaces can be rather messy and they always clean up after themselves. They are very professional and I have no complaints.

They have been doing work in my houses for quite a while. We keep hiring them partially because the tech who comes out has always been the same person. Over all these years we always ask for him because he knows our heating and cooling real well and we know that he is truthful. I think their pricing is very decent. If you have a problem, they get out there pretty quickly. If you have something that goes wrong, their emergency after hours responds quickly.

Punctual and fast response, reasonable prices. The installers did not test the furnace and one of the valves was left in a closed position, causing it to not work. A quick (and free) service call fixed it w/in the day.

I was not home at the time but my husband was there to greet the serviceman. From what he told me, the serviceman was polite and efficient, working quickly to solve the problem. I was expecting a much larger bill. Instead we signed up for regular maintance twice a year and also received a rebate for hiring them as a member of a sheet metal workers union.

From the initial sales visit throughout the installation process, this company was a model of professionalism and courtesy. They went out of their way to make sure everything was satisfactory and made suggestions for improvements to make the system work better. We did have one issue, and that was an installation problem with one element which caused excessive electrical usage until it was corrected. Once the problem was discovered, they did reimburse us for the resulting extra cost on our electric bill, so I take no issue with it since they stood behind their work. We have had the system for one full year now, and I can say that it is well worth the extra up front cost for their "best" system. Over the life of the system we will definitely recoup that cost, as our electric bill has been much lower than before. I have tracked our bill for the 14 years we have been here, and the new system has provided the lowest monthly bills on record. We have been running anywhere from $30-80 less each month, with the biggest savings during the heating season. Not to mention the overall comfort level within the home is so much better. The humidity level is maintained at an even keel in all seasons. It has eliminated the high cost and aggravation of dealing with an external dehumidifier in the summer, and the constant filling and cleaning of portable humidifiers in the winter. And the air cleaner is amazing, greatly improving my battle with seasonal allergies. We also have them doing an annual inspection and cleaning, and the first visit this Spring discovered zero faults registered by the system, so it has been working flawlessly since the element problem was fixed. They have always been on time, courteous, and are a pleasure to work with in all aspects of their business. I highly recommend this company.

Great! I've had a service contract with them for 4 years now. The service men are always very polite and courteous. They are happy to explain everything to me in terms I can understand. Today, I called about 9 a.m with a report that my A/C wasn't cooling. They were here within 1-1 hours and found they needed to add coolant. Of course, this means there is a leak. The serviceman explained to me my options and answered all my questions. The good news for me is that this system should last through this season, and possibly longer, which gives me time to research and save for a new system. They never try to push me into doing any unneeded repairs which, as a woman, isn't always the case!
