+ 0 moreBrent went with instructions I provided made sure residents were trouble free and was prompt upon arrival, professional.a ratting. The other individual however did not follow my instructions to remove a broken piece of snake from pipe,instead told me one did not exist. I witnessed the cable being lodged in pipe then removed 10 days later when it re-clogged. He also cursed in both of the apartments, finished what he wanted to complete , when I had another issue for him to snake, then left without giving us an invoice or our signature. Two completely different types of service.
Description of Work: David, 6oclock pm attempted to clear kitchen sink line in apt 1105, 1104 Brent 1.15 pm 7/2012 cleared main line in building 700, and serviced several apartments.

Description of Work: We asked them to come give and estimate for replacing an old sewer pipe. The estimate they gave us was $5000.00-$6000.00.We got another companies estimate and we paid $1200.00.

+ 0 moreFantastic! The great thing about this company is that they can come 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is nice to know that someone could be there in an emergency. They did come around 6 p.m., which for most places would be "after hours". But not for Roto-Rooter, it was just another job.
Description of Work: Our service technician was named Dave Rathbun. He was extremely helpful explaining everything....why our drain was leaking and how best to take care of the problem. When he informed us that we needed a whole new faucet set, he recommended we go to the store and buy one as this would be cheaper than purchasing from his truck. While my husband was out shopping, he continued to work and had everything ready to go when the new hardware arrived. We mentioned some issues we were having with the toilet and he gave some helpful advice to save us money. We thought Dave was the best! If we need a plumber again, we would request him by name.

+ 0 moreI had the leaky faucet earlier worked on and had it down to a drip. They did not really work on the faucet. When they finished it was practically the same as it was when they got here. They did unclog the drain in the garage. I was not very pleased with their work on the faucet. I will not use them in the future.

+ 0 moreThe technician arrived within an hour of the stated time. Wasn't professional or careful inside the house not to dirty other things. Didn't agree with our assessment that the main line was clogged and only cleaned the shower drain. $165 service came with a 90 day guarantee. Less than 60 days later we had to call back as the lines were doing the exact same thing. The techcian this time stated it was the main line (turns out we were right) and since it wasn't the shower drain it wouldn't be covered. Not only were they wrong the first time but we had to pay twice to get it fixed.
Description of Work: Had our main sewer line back up into the house. Our first choice wasn't available so we called Roto Rooter. After looking at it, they suggested it was a shower drain and not the main line even though we asked for the main line to be cleaned. Less than 60 days later we had to call them back when it backed up again. This time they agreed it was the main line but wouldn't cover it in the 90 day guarantee because they only cleaned the line they thought was backed up. Now I've had to pay them twice for what should have been done right the first time!

+ -1 moreThe technician was outstanding, and he solved the problem. I was totally blown away by his conscientiousness and service. He had a lot of trouble unclogging the drain in the shower, but he kept at it until he finally got it done. He made some recommendations on how I could avoid that problem in the future. He came back the next day with a fix for the problem. I just fell in love with him. The price was competitive. He was punctual, and his responsiveness exceeded my expectations. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future without a doubt; I am sure whoever they send will give me the same level of service.
Description of Work: I used Roto Rooter to fix a flooding problem in my family room because the drain in the shower had gotten plugged up.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreService man did not show up on time and then tried to convince us that the appliance needed to be replaced. When in fact it is still working today.
Description of Work: Called because did not have hot water. Was assured that would be able to fix today. Service tech was to be there at 4:00, he arrived @5:00. He was very courteous and put on shoe covers (I have light colored carpet). He then opened the door on my water heater and told me and my land lord that I needed a new water heater. I told him that was amazing that he could tell that by opening the door. I asked him what was wrong with it and he said that the the electric system was bad, but that he couldn't really tell because he was a journeyman but it would cost $300-$500 to fix or $900 to replace. But If we wanted it fixed or replaced we would need the master plumber. My landlord asked for the master plumber's number but was told that he would not answer her call. We told him that we would think about it. My husband came home that night and jiggled a wire and the water heater has been just fine ever since.

+ 0 moreDavid #844 rolled in in about 20 min,after calling. diagnosed problem,gave me a price and a coupon from my phone book 20.00 off then we wrestled a tight fitting heavy metal set of can racks I welded out then he ran the snake through not once but 4 times total ,the 3rd time and 8lbs of potato later ,waters rolling good.but then we realized that old sink would make a little tornado swirlymajigger, and a sucking sound,in five years of this piece of property never has in done that well. one quick receipt and he was able to take cash, 6 month guarantee also......
Description of Work: my wife jammed the disposal ,which made the dishwasher flood water out on the cycle she just started 1/2 way through making dinner for 16 members of my family 8 of which are children running around. but we were up and running with in an hour and fifteen minuets which is great because our farms 9 miles out of city limits. # 844 was so sweet in helping clean up what we had to dig out of that thing which was a tight spot to get to . I built a rack/shelf right in his way under the sink ,,not one curse word while working on that pain in the as# deal I put him through.

Eventually, stated pipes were frozen although that did not seem possible - after, initially blaming contractor for the way the house was constructed. In the end he was probably correct, but, understandably, he was unable to correct the problem - we increased the heat in the house.

+ -1 moreThey gave us a time they would be here and they were late. The young man who came was friendly. He explained things. He gave us the estimate of the price and it was right on. I expected it to be outrageous, because it was Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't. He was clean and intelligent. He put down cloth so he wouldn't wake a mess. He didn't cover his feet or ask for anything for anything to put on his shoes. He did clean everything up.
