Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

Description of Work: I find these people to be extremely, extremely expensive for the bit of service they provide. I would always check with another plumber before committing to spend with them.

Description of Work: Considering they were unable to correct the problem I felt the cost was obsessive.

Description of Work: Unclogged a drain for me and removed the grease but charged me extremely too much, did not give an estimate before performing work even though the worker was asked multiple times.... An hour late and took over two weeks to get ahold of all in all I wont be using them EVER again.

Description of Work: Cleaned out a dryer vent. The technician addressed the problem and suggested strategies to prevent re-occurrence. On time and put everything back in its appropriate place.

Description of Work: Replaced hose bib that had frozen during the winter.

Description of Work: cabled kitchen sink line as a precautionary measure as I didn't want it to get stopped up over Thanksgiving and augered a bathroom stool that routinely overflowed and that was the service man's answer to the problem --however it did not solve the problem and the stool continued to routinely overflow.

Description of Work: I had horrible flooding in my basement due to MSD's placement of pipes under the street. I called Roto-Rooter. I have used this company exclusively for any plumbing problems in the past. The plumber came within the 2 hour window given by the dispatcher. Immediately upon exiting his truck, the plumber gave me the cost of the job without even knowing what the job would entail. He had to snake the plumbing in my front yard. He finished this. He then said the job was complete, went to his truck to fill out the paperwork. I asked him how much the charge would be as this plumbing issue only took him about 20 minutes. He brought in his paperwork, I wrote him a check for $385.00, and as an after thought he went out to his truck, retrieved a plumbing snake, brought it into my home and gave my basement floor drain a cursory 20 seconds to moving the plumbing snake into my drain. I complained to the manager about this price. I did not feel that this was a fair price for the work the plumber did. The manager said he would investigate and call me back. He called back the next day after checking the ticket and speaking to the plumber who came to my house. The manager agreed, and gave me a refund of $166.00. I am very happy with the conclusion of this matter and would indeed hire this company for any future plumbing issues I may have.
