Description of Work: I called them for a routine drain snaking. I have a drain line that needs it about once a year. This service alone was overpriced. If I recall correctly, it was something like $150.00. Second, they convinced me that if they ran a pressure sprayer down the line after for an additional $80.00 or so that they wouldn't have to come out again in a year and snake the drain. I agreed, and they did it, and then, out of the goodness of their hearts, they ran a camera down my drain without saying a word to me. Lo! and Behold! they found a break in the piping underneath my house in a critical spot. This was going to cost something like $5000.00, which they would be happy to collect, if I just pay the day's bill, and a deposit, and they'd be back Friday to get 'er done. I (FOOLISHLY) wrote them a check for something like $500+, part of which was understood to be a deposit on the work that would take place Friday. |In the mean time I got two more opinions. BOTH of them knew who it was that came out and told me this BEFORE I offered that information up to them. The first plumber said he would not run a camera down my drain for free, but IF what MasterTech had told me the problem was, was in fact the problem, then he would do the work for $1800.00 less! The next guy I wound up paying to camera the line, I asked him to level with me, he said "If this was my house I wouldn't do anything with it at all. I can't even tell if it's rusted through." So, the less sensational facts of the situation from someone who did not stand to profit a $5000.00 job from the diagnosis. |Now, the kicker. I called MasterTecb back and told them what I had found, and in turn, what I had decided. IT WAS AT THIS TIME I WAS INFORMED THAT THE DEPOSIT I PAYED, WAS NONREFUNDABLE. It was never mentioned during the conversation that day in my home, and I maintain that the document that I signed said nothing of the sort, but I'll never know, because I have never been provided a copy of it, even after asking for it 3 TIMES! They wound up telling me that if I remove my bad reviews from FB and AL, that they'd return HALF of the (nonrefundable) deposit! HA! I agreed, took my half my money back and told them I'd "amend" my reviews when I got ALL of MY MONEY back. |End result... I got a drain snaked out and it cost me over $400.00. |Apparently any plumber around will tell you, STAY AWAY!

Description of Work: The washer malfunctioned and water ran thru the ceiling into the lower floor. | I was able to turn off the water and they came promptly the next day for repair work. They did a great job.

Description of Work: We had a backed-up sewer line. They snaked it and found a blockade requiring replacement of part of our line under the street. They repaired it and placed an external clean-out since thats required by code. Overall, they were responsive and I liked that they give you the price up-front for whatever service you need completed. My only complaints would be that they initially had to access the sewer line by pulling up one of our toilets and the guys did an awful job of cleaning up after themselves once the toilet was reseated. Specifically, they left sewer spray from the snake on the walls and neither of the gentlemen who entered the house wore shoe covers. I asked the other guys to clean it and while they said that they would it never got done so we ended up having to do it ourselves.

Description of Work: replaced burst water pipes about 3 times in 2 months. i am starting to think they are running a game on me,and they are very expensive and charge extra if you have a crawl space.

Description of Work: The technician did show up 3 hours later than the dispatcher and I agreed on, but over all he did an excellent job. I had a clogged kitchen sink, and he used an auger to clear the clog. It only took about 10 minutes to get the job done. He was very professional and pleasant. He explained what he was doing and gave me some tips so it didn't happen again. All and all, I would be very happy to use the company again.

Description of Work: Installed toilet. Replaced it when bowl cracked with another toilet. Returned to stabilize last toilet; it rocked. Later returned to try again so stabilize toilet,which was rocking A

Description of Work: They are too expensive. I have a brand new house and needed a new wax ring for my toilet. They came out and replaced the wax ring. Took them 20 minutes max. They charged me almost 300 dollars. I felt ripped off.
