The estimate, work, and timeline was great. However, when the same issue occurred and the wood used was hollow the company is refusing to fix/correct. They sent someone out to view the mistake/issue and I was told that was not covered. Despite it being the same spot I originally showed the owner at the initial estimate. I have called and emailed about getting the work corrected with no response or return phone calls. However, when I mentioned additional work we were getting estimates for they jumped at the chance but won’t stand by previous work.

Steven B and crew (2 others) arrived ready to work, while I wasn't home, but at work. They did a splendid job. The guys restored my stairs, steps and handrails, quite well. It's nice to not feel so self-conscious about people coming to my house now. The crew left the work-site in good order with nothing out of sorts. I will definitely hire them again.

Their service is always excellent. They are always pleasant when I call them and they do the work. I've used them for 2 or 3 years now.

I contacted this company to help me. Calvin Moore came out and work diligently and professionally to remove the door and put it in correctly. It had previously been installed by someone outside this company and they really messed up. I had to slam to close and yank to open. Calvin Moore told me don't worry about it when I tried to apologies for it being so messed up. He said that fixing it was what he does, so let him handle it with a smile on his face. Very thankful Calvin Moore knew what he was doing. Excellent Job!! Will definitely contact Handyman Connections for future projects.

It didn't. They made an appointment, were an hour late, and quoted $450.00 for a 2 to 3 hour job. The only materials they would've provided was a tube of clear silicone. I questioned the cost and was told that included two men, but it's a one man job. there isn't enough room for two men. Nor is there a need, the part weigh between 12 lbs, and 15 lbs each. This was absurd. The second company I spoke with never showed up. I completed this same repair in 2002, and would do it this time but recently had back surgery so I was convinced to seek out a handyman. BTW it took almost three hours for me to complete, I see this as a $350 to $400. repair. John Stergos

After an hour of waiting for the gentleman to arrive to estimate the project, I called to see what was going on. A gentleman answered and told me to hold so he could contact the person scheduled to do estimate. After waiting for a few minutes, the office staff told me that the gentleman scheduled to do the appointment was still on a job and could not come out today. He then wanted to know if I could reschedule for the next day (which was a Saturday). I said no and told them that I would never use them. Awful... I later posted in my Eureka neighborhood Facebook page regarding looking for someone to assist with project. Since then, I have 3 estimates and will be making a decision in this upcoming week. No thank you Angie's List. I don't need you and your companies that don't really care to contact or show up for an estimate. Thank god that this service was free.

Used Handyman Connection to hire someone to scrape and Drylok my basement. Would not use them again. 1) The job took far longer to complete than it should have. Got an initial estimate on 22 November and hired the handyman on 4 December. He started 7 December, and did not finish until 21 December, which put me behind schedule on getting other contractors in to work on the house and in getting the house on the market. 2) Several material costs were not included in the upfront estimate, including some things I found very surprising. I provided three five-gallon buckets of Drylok, tile, and grout up front. Had to buy 2 additional buckets of Drylok, 14 lbs of Fast Plug, tile separators, tile mortar, two disposable respirators, a five-pack of reusable latex gloves, a masonry brush and grout float. The latter four items I would have assumed that the handyman would have as basic tools he would have possessed, and I would not have had to provide. Regardless, I just wish I'd been given a better upfront estimate of costs. Over 250 dollars in additional materials were added to the original estimate (in addition to what I'd already provided); had I known that was going to be the case, it might have influenced the hiring decision I eventually made. 3) Though the handyman overall did a decent job, I was not thrilled about the broken tile that he left inside the front door, or the debris that was left behind in the basement. He swept, but there was still a fair amount of Drylok dust/debris in the basement. I don't know why broken tile was left behind, but had I known he would not have a shop vac or other equipment for the basement, I could have provided one for him. 4) Handyman made a point of telling me and my significant other about how hard the job was for him, and that he did not know it was going to be that difficult ahead of time. Everything was specified to Handyman Connection upfront: what was needed, the size of the basement, etc. I’d question the common sense in sending a 60+ year-old man to do a very physically demanding job. Sent Handyman Connection a note detailing my concerns; did not even receive an acknowledgement of my email. Would not use them again, or recommend them to others.

We communicated via Angie's List to secure services. They quoted a price and we called to schedule. We needed the project done right away. They had a handyman come on Saturday to do the project. It turned out very secure and well done.

No work was performed because never received a call back after leaving a couple of messages.

The person came out to our house to do an estimate, then never contacted me with the actual pricing. It was a waste of time.

I'd have to say a C on the quality of their work; it didn't pass inspection.

The handyman missed our appointment for an estimate due to being stuck at another job which is understandable, however I wasn't contacted to be told that. I had to call over a half an hour after my scheduled time. The handyman called me and offered me an over the phone estimate since he would be unable to make it which wasn't ideal but I agreed since we really wanted the work done as soon as possible. He was apologetic, polite, and seemed knowledgeable. He took my information and said he'd call me back to schedule a time for the repair. After that conversation I never heard back. I tried to contact him again to follow up 3 separate times over a period of a week and a half and got no response each time. I cannot speak to quality of work or price because I never had any work completed since I was never contacted to schedule the repairs I requested.

Went great. It was a short notice job under a time crunch and Jason worked us in and made it happen.

The service man was very good and very polite and did and excellent job. They always do a great job.

Have not received bid. The individuals were knowledgeable and informative. The job did not turn out to be one that they would do.

They were professional and really nice guy. It was kinda cold in the morning and he worked hard in the weather.

He did an excellent job on what I hired him for. He did a very good job, very professional. You can't see where the repairs were. He gave us a reasonable price. I was very happy with him on the drywall.

They were a little expensive, but they were fine.

The workers were great. I've used them once before. You have to wait until they finish previous side job before they come out to you.

They were very prompt and professional to deal with. Handyman was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Everything was very good.

Left the first time without doing the job because they didn't bring the right tools. They rescheduled for another day. I waited all morning for them on the day of rescheduling. I called them after a few hours. In response the tech called and said he worked all weekend, no one reminded him and its raining (? it's an indoor job) and he would come another day.

They did a very good job. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely hire them again.
