Handyman Connection of Chesterfield

This was the first time we had used them and it was a pretty good experience. We bought the doors ourselves and they did the labor. We had a few issues with the front door not closing properly, but they came out to fix it without a charge. Although they were very pleasant, it was frustrating to have to get them to fix it again. A- on price.

It went pretty well but it took them well awhile to set up a date to do the work and I had some cold days in November to live with the drafty window. I also thought it was a little expensive but the work was well done and the installer was a pro.

The service turned out fine. Scheduling was great, they were able to do the installation within a week of the consultation. The installer was the same person who came initially came out and he brought his son with him to assist in the installation.

I'm glad we used their service. They came out right away and got to work right away and their bid was reasonable and I felt confident in their abilities. They cleaned up well after themselves and he really knew what he was doing. It seems like he can do anything. I also had him look at a different project and he let me know what that project would entail. I plan on calling him in the spring.

It went fine and there were no problems. Our entry way had some rotten wood that he came out to replace for a very reasonable price. He was able to use some wood we already had. We’ve had no issues with it since he did the work, and we’d recommend them to others.

It went fine! The work was great and I haven’t had any issues with it since. I’d use them again and recommend them to friends and family. The fixture in the kitchen was giving him a little bit of trouble, and he even went above and beyond by caulking around where he did some adjustments.

He reinforced the wire rack so it would not pull out of the wall again.

It went very well. Three people came out to paint with the brushes, paint, and tray I provided. They also patched up some holes as well. I’d say the price was competitive. They cleaned up really well and I was happy with the overall experience. I actually just got another estimate from them for future work.

It all went well. They were professional and courteous. The work has been holding up well since and we’ve kept their name in case we need something in the future. The prices were excellent with them. We would recommend their services to others.

Everything went very well -- it always goes great with them! Tony has been super, and that’s why I keep using them. They do great work at a competitive price. For the majority of my miscellaneous household and business needs, I use Tony.

Handyman that worked on it found the lowest price possible for fence piece, and installed it perfectly, you couldn't even tell there was ever a hole in the chain link fence after he was done.

It went really well! We contacted a few contractors to get estimates to move our dryer vent. They were ALL more expensive than Handyman Connection. Greg (who was really good) came out and did the job very well. The price was actually lower than he initially said. I’ve since called them for another job.

We really like them. They have done a lot of things at both of our houses, this is just the most recent.

The repairs on our privacy fence on rental property were taken care of by this company in a professional manner, but we were understanding that they were taking care of the whole wind damaged area of the fence. Our rental property is 3 states away from where we are living now. When my husband went to inspect the fence after the repairs were made, he said there was much more fence that needed repairing. Apparently they could have done much more repairing. So in essence, the price was high for the amount of repairs that were done.

What I didn't like about it is that they didn't want to commit to doing the entire job. They would be willing to put the cabinet stuff, but they didn't want to do any of the extra work like finding cabinets that would match and it was like up to me to do all of that work and when I have somebody to do a job I want them to do the whole job.

This was the third time I hired a Handyman Connection handyman in connection with getting my former home ready for sale.I wanted to advertise my home as having a city occupancy permit as a selling point for prospective buyers. A city building inspector found two defects that needed to be corrected to get the occupancy permit. I needed a railing for the stairs to the second floor. That was the easy one. The difficult one was the replacing of a missing wall under my kitchen sink. Over ten years ago a plumbing company had knocked out the wall under the sink to make it easy run new pipes from the basement to the sink. I was replacing all of my plumbing at the time. I did not think anything of it at the time because it was not visible. It turns out this was a major violation. The inspector said that most fires start in basements. The lack of a wall would allow smoke to travel easily to the rest of the house. To put in the wall under the sink would require the installer to work through small doors under the sink and past the existing plumbing. Or, tear out the sink to do it easily and install a new sink. That would require tearing out the paneling around the sink and since that matched the paneling going around the entire kitchen, all the paneling in the kitchen would have to be replaced. This I did not want to do. Frank Messner did a fantastic job of working through the small doors on the front of the sink, around the pipes and filling in the wall piece by piece. He saved me from expensive remodeling. The reinspection resulted in the occupancy permit which helped to sell the house quickly.

Handyman Connection was very responsive and did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they quoted. Greg came out and removed my old metal bathtub and installed a new one along with re-doing shower and surround. He also installed greenboard around the shower and repaired unfinished drywall in the rest of the bathroom. After that, he painted the walls and ceiling. Also, he installed baseboards and shutoff valves for the sink and toilet. I've used many contractors in the past and this is the FIRST ONE that actually did a good job, did what they said they would do and also did it for the original quoted price (and didn't even inflate the material cost). GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will use Handyman Connection for future projects. :-) Tony

I bought parts at a hardware store and a plumbing supply store--approximate cost $105, except for $10 supplied by handyman Rush McAllister. Rush put in about a 12 hours of labor over 2 days for $625. He did not go over his pre-work estimate. Rush told me exactly what to get for parts and supplies and he was able to work on one project while I shopped for materials for other projects. This saved him labor time. He worked steadily and efficiently. The work on the drain pipes on kitchen, and two bathrooms was at close quarters. I would use Handyman Connection and Rush McCallister again. This work was done in connection with our selling our house. I have waited to write this review until I had time after selling old house and moving into new house.

Poorly they state it was "material failure" was poor workmanship will not use in future

For these repairs I paid for the parts myself. Rush McAllister did the labor taking two days and for $430. I paid for the parts and materials separately for $140. Rush worked steadily and efficiently. I was very happy with all of the work. I would (and did) use Rush and Handyman Solutions subsequently. I was making repairs and refinements to my house before putting it up for sale.

They were very professional and scheduling the appointment went smoothly. Communication with John was very good and he seemed very knowledgeable with the repair. I would recommend his services to others.

He was very professional. We had called him about two years ago about redoing or bathroom in our basement and he remembered us from that initial visit. They quality of the repairs has held up well. The pricing seemed a bit high as he was only here for about 25 minutes but scheduling with them was easy and they were very accommodating.

We had issues at the beginning with communication in that I did not hear from them in a timely manner. There was also a mishap with the appointment. He did end up coming out that same day, about 2-3 hours after the scheduled the appointment. The prices seemed a bit on the high end but the quality of the work was fine. He cleaned up well after himself. If I had a similar need in the future I would consider using their services and would recommend them based on the work they performed.
