SOMEONE FROM THE COMPANY CAME AND WE WENT OVER EVERYTHING TO BE DONE. NO ONE GOT BACK WITH ME EITHER WAY. IT HAS BEEN ABOUT 3 MONTHS I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK FROM THEM.

I called Handyman Connection and I wanted 3 pictures hung as well as 2 shelves put up. The gentleman arrived in a big truck, ladder and everything, so I was excited to have this project completed in no time. I tried to introduce myself and I could tell he didn’t want to be here to do this project. I had all the stuff laid out where I wanted it to go and all he brought in was 1 tiny box of screws. I told him I had a box of screws and asked if he wants to look at them to see if they would work. After he took a look at them, he said they wouldn’t work and he asked to speak to my husband to tell him what he should buy. We were having a hard time understanding what we need to buy and he proceed to tell us to go out and buy this stuff and he would come back at a later time. After he left, I called the company to company and told the lady I spoke with I couldn’t believe a handyman came out and they didn’t have a simple set of screws to hang some pictures and shelves and told them I didn’t want anyone to come back. He was originally going to charge me $110, but instead I decided to call another company and they were able to come out two days later and put everything up without a hitch and I am going to have that company come back out to install a ceiling fan.

Handyman was prompt in sending a carpenter who was available quickly. He was very timely courteous and well skilled. I was surprised by the price but failed to question it since I did not know what skills or time it would require, beyond the statement that he would be coming for 2 days. I am very happy with the quality of the work but now know I need to ask more questions. I would use them again and do recommend Handyman

The work was done in a very professional manner and met all my expectations. I definitely would recommend.

We needed many small tasks attended to as we moved in to our new home. Handyman is a company that provides names of qualified persons who can address almost every discipline of home care. We needed grab bars in the shower and tub areas, toilets replaced in both bathrooms, stand-alone shelves affixed to walls to protect against tipping, oversized furniture removed and discarded, automatic light timers installed, ceiling fans installed, hooks and roll out trays in the pantry and kitchen area installed, among other small tasks. Greg has been able to do all this and more for us in good time. He is respectful of our space and time. He arrives on time EVERY time, goes to work, keeps us apprised of what he needs to do, and works until the job is finished without taking breaks. He has been able to handle almost every task we've asked for, and if he cannot, he will tell us and refer us back to his company to hire a more qualified person (e.g. he is not a plumber, but Handyman Connection can provide that service as well). I would (and have) highly recommend this company to my friends and family.

One person came out and it took about two full days to complete the work. It was a little more involved than he originally expected. The work area was left clean. I'd highly recommend them to friends and he does great work and is very courteous. I'd recommend him to anyone.

Supplier called and made an appointment to give an estimate. Based on the estimate we decided to move forward with the work. Supplier called and scheduled actual service. Steve showed up on time to do the work and did an excellent job with btoh parts of the job. Steve was very knowledgeable on installing crown moulding. He told us what to purchase. We purchased the crown moulding and he installed it. He also had no problem installing the screen on the back porch. I would definitely recommend this provider.

The technician arrived on June 25, 2014 to give me an estimate for a damaged bedroom door. Mr Mason gave me a written estimate with the description "30 " slab door single bore 36" from top on center, I went to Home Depot and purchased it and told the them that Mr Mason from Handyman Connections would pick it up. I scheduled 7/7/2014 as the install date and Mr. Mason installed the new bedroom door. He even made a hole in the door to install the door knob I purchased. Overall, his craftsmanship was excellent. I will most certainly use Handyman Connection again for future repairs. So pleased with services provided.

He arrived on time. (Actually he came a little early from our appointed time. He called to tell us he was ready and asked if we were ready, which we were). Steve Barr did an excellent job. He was fast. I did not time him but he grasped what needed to be done and did it with no wasted effort. His bill was in line with the installation charges that Best Buy would charge and cheaper than the prices listed by some others. (We did not buy the microwave from Best Buy). This is the fourth time we have used Handyman Connection and have been happy with them each time.

He showed up on time and was nice enough, but his extimate was over the top. If you don't want to do the job, just let us know at the phone call. It was to lay the laminate (we had already bought the flooring and the underlayment - so this was for labor only. Average cost of laminate (labor to lay) based on the multitude of bids was from 1.89 - 2.22 per sf. Nail in hardwoods ranged from 2.99 and up. We had received several bids, but either didn't like the contractor or the bid. We ultimately hired a guy that was recommended to us by Nick Lotto of SNL Painting. LOVED HIM!!!

My handyman (Frank) was very prompt and professional. My house is currently being leased while I am living out of state. Prior to leasing my home, I had raccoons nesting in my attic. I had mothballs placed in my attic insulation (to ward off the raccoons) just prior to my tenants moving in. This created a strong mothball odor that irritated my tenants. Frank took care of my "mothball situation" and reassured my tenants. He did not charge me extraordinary charges. He called and gave a very thorough report. i would highly recommend his services again.

Painter was prompt and courteous. He gave an estimate and work was scheduled. He was on time and polite. Upon inspection of the completed job, it was clear that he had not scraped all the loose paint and had done no sanding. He did not fill any cracks or holes. Places he had just painted on the door could be peeled off with a fingernail. He did not paint the mullions in the windows at all. I called the company to complain about the quality of the work. They sent someone out to look at it and he agreed it was poorly done. They sent another painter to do the job properly. However, he said that he could not fix what the other painter had done without sanding the entire door down to raw wood. By not scraping and sanding the loose edges, the first painter has caused even more peeling. The mullions were not painted again. The company chose to not stand behind their employee or his work. They refused to do the job properly, but instead offered me a refund of 1/2 the money paid. Since it was the only recourse offered, I accepted the refund and did the work myself.

A friend's large wheelchair caused some damage to my deck threshold. Tom came out, reviewed my situation and asked a lot of questions to find out my needs. A few days later he came back and created a wider/larger threshold that works great. He's even going to stop by and paint the metal that needs to be touched up. My wheelchair made it over the new threshold wonderfully and when my larger friend comes to visit again, their wheelchair will make it OK too. I highly recommend Handyman Connection!

From all that I've learned this would be no more than an 8 hour job. The estimate they gave me was for about $600 materials (about a 300% mark up from what it would cost at Home Depot) and over $3,200 in labor. Now I'm all for a great wage but $400 an hour in labor seems crazy. I've had a few other estimates that were all at least 50% cheaper. Now they will not be doing the job, but I wanted to urge any other member if you use this company get AT LEAST one other estimate to compare with them as they may overpricing others as they did with me.

I had a sliding patio door installed where there was an existing window. In addition to the patio door, trim work, plaster and steps leading outside were done as well. I am overall satisfied with the work that was performed. I consider myself to be a perfectionist, there were only a few minor issues, however they were due to the construction of the house more than the actual performance of work being done.

It was very good. They were on time and completed the work on time. They did a good job.

It was great. It worked out good. I didn’t really have any bad experience. I thought this guy is very capable and punctual. He followed up after he gave the quote because I actually had a quote from somebody else as well for doing the work. He followed up, he was checking after a few days passed. He was here right on time, he brought everything he needed, he set it up and he worked pretty hard. Basically with that kind of work, you know, you’re cutting corners, something is match up, to me the skill is the finish piece of it, and everything looks good connected. He did a good job there. He is very good. We run across stuff that we need done like that, we will use them again. They offer a wide range of services as well.

It looks as good as new. He was on time, the work took three stops and he came prepared each time and finished quickly. He also provided some excellent leads for some other services that I needed.

It was successful. The repairman was professional and did what he had to do to save my porch from major water damage. I purchased the Tarp and he attached it. That's it.

Things usualy go very well when I call Handyman Connection. People are friendly and there on time. The work is done well. I had one problem with some painters once who got to my house several hours late. They were supposed to be there first thing in the morning and didnt get there till 10:30. The only other issue I have is the price so make sure you have enough for them to do that justifies there minimum charges.

New refrigerator was delivered but would not fit under existing cabinets leaving it blocking much of the kitchen.Called Handyman Connection to have cabinet trimmed. Woman answering checked and said carpenter in area and she would contact him to see when he would be available. She called back within 15 minutes and said he could be here in less than an hour. He arrived in 30 minutes.He gave me a written quote which was very reasonable, took down the cabinet,trimmed and sanded it,reinstalled it in about one hour. The work was excellent and work area left spotless. Based on his work and the assistance provided by the woman scheduler I will use them again and recommend them to others.
