Fresh Air Heating and Cooling is an outstanding company from beginning to end. The administrator answering the phone is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions. She was very curtious and kind. Their price was competitive with the other companies I called, and I learned they only install the Aprilaire brand humidifiers. Upon further research, I learned that Aprilaire makes the Carrier brand, which had very high reviews online. The later comes with a 10 year warrenty, but there are no moving parts, so a 5 year warrenty should be just fine, and it is less expensive.The technician, Nick Roderique, was very polite, professional, always covered his shoes when entering the house and was also very knowledgeable. There was a small problem with our old hot water heater drain valve, but he was able to rectify the problem. He offered some good advice to replace it in the future with a copper one to avoid that problem in the future. I liked the fact that they run the water line from the cold water pipe as opposed to the hot water pipe like another company. Nick answered all of my questions, and was patient as I practiced changing the water panel, since I learn best with hands on experience. Now I will have no problem changing it next year. Nick double checked to make sure nothing was leaking after it ran for awhile, and made an extra trip to his truck to make sure I had a clamp on the hose so it wouldn't slide off and leak. I highly recommend Fresh Air Heating and Cooling. I will definitely use this company again in the future for my HVAC needs.

Went great! Technician had booties for his shoes, was professional and quick to resolve issue, explaining as he went along providing pointers for maintenance.

It went very well. They showed up on time, completed the installation in the time frame they said it would take. We put off the installation twice before as the two other days we had selected were so very cold. They were very agreeable about the date changes. Next day ,received a phone call from their office asking how everything went and were we satisfied. We could not have had better service. I highly recommend them.

I had used their services on a different property last year. I was very satisfied with their service and so decided to continue with their service for this property as well. They whole process is pain free considering they send timely reminders on the service and the technicians and very courteous. I've had to work with 4 different technicians and everyone of them were very courteaous and did the work promptly.

Randy arrived at the promised time and finished his work in a couple of hours. He installed several new connections along with the new water heater. This gives us a little more peace of mind about how safe and secure this gas appliance is. While he was waiting for assistance with the new heater, he also performed the winter furnace maintenance. All work was completed neatly, and he took the time to answer all of our questions. We appreciate the fast service from Fresh Air. After returning from a trip, we discovered major leaking from the old water heater and had the situation resolved in two days.

I worked with Tim Sinn, and he was very proffesional and was very patient with my multitude of questions. When we finally decided on a system and price, I felt we had made an excellent decision to go with Tim and Fresh Air. We solicited multiple contractor bids and Tim was the best at describing his products and their functionality while keeping the overall cost in mind. Their installers were excellent and demonstrated excellent customer interactions. They completed the whole process in one long day and left the work area absolutely spotless. I would without hesitation recommend Freash Air and Tim Sinn for your HVAC needs.

I've had multiple companies come out for this problem and this was my best experience. Technician spoke honestly and never attempted to sell me anything that wasn't needed.

Company came out twice (once for the air conditioner and a few months later for the furnace). They did an excellent job. The technicians seemed very honest and there was no unnecessary upselling like I have experienced with other companies.

It went well. Everything seemed to be working properly. They replaced the humidifier pad, and we signed up for an additional annual contract.

We are happy with them. We have a service agreement with them.

Contacted via Angies List based on reviews and because it is a local business. I suppose since my inquiry indicated we wanted a quote for a new system they sent a salesman instead of someone with technical experience. While the salesman did seem knowledgable of his products, I feel more comfortable trusting someone who has the technical experience of install and repair for the systems they are recommending. For example, the salesperson suggested a system which would require certain venting but it turns out (based on discussion with another provider who was the owner/tech/salesman & inspected to quote), there is no way for this system to be installed with venting to code based on location of doors and windows. I did appreciate the follow-up by the salesperson after his visit. The price Fresh Air quoted included manufacturer rebates and 'Fresh Air' rebates and interestingly their net price after 'rebates' was within a few dollars of another reputable Angie's List provider's straightforward quote that didn't include rebates. It's for these reasons we are choosing to go with the other provider.

We got several bids for an air conditioner, furnace, air cleaner, humidifier, and thermostat in June 2014. Fresh Air quoted the best price for the humidifier, A/C tonnage and seer unit and we added a gas hot water heater. Along with the discounts of Ameren, Laclede Gas and Fresh Air, they came up with the best estimate for everything. We are very happy with their products. The furnace is so quiet, we never know when it is blowing. Tim, who quoted the bid, was always very helpful and answered my questions promptly. Randy and Todd were very informative about the products they installed. They arrived promptly at their scheduled time and were neat with their work and cleanup. Very professional team and I would highly recommend this company.

The provider was contacted directly after scheduling service on Angie's List (Angie's List indicated that it would take at least two business days for the provider to set up an appointment). I explained that I had just purchased a service package on Angie's List and that our air conditioning had not been working for about a week. We have a small baby in the house, with temperatures expected to be over 100 degrees for the week. We asked if they could come out that day and provide the service work and any necessary repairs. Fresh Air Heating and Cooling scheduled our service for that same afternoon. The representative was very professional and offered constructive advice on the care of the unit. The problem turned out to be a failed capacitor in the main unit which was replaced successfully (he had the repair part available in his truck for immediately replacement). I would most certainly recommend Fresh Air Heating and Cooling for any A/C problems and would not hesitate to use them again in the future should the need arise.

When my old heat pump system died they provided choices and reccommendations for my situation. They were always polite and professional. They also insured that I received all available rebates and discounts, which amounted to quite a bit of savings. They arrived at the time scheduled and began work immediately. It took almost all day to replace both the inside and outside unit. The inside unit required new duct work. They laid tarps to protect the flooring and cleaned up after themselves. I wouldn't have been able to tell that they had been here they did such a good job. When they were finished they demonstrated how to use the new wireless thermostat and I was able to control the system with my smartphone with just a little setup. They also set a lockout temperature for the outside compressor. This temperature setting was below the lowest temperature where my unit would be efficient. The effect is to reduce wear and tear on the compressor during very cold weather. I will be using them for annual inspections and maintenance. I am exceptionally pleased with the service and the product.

We had out of town guests and had an Open House (for sale of our house) scheduled for Sunday 8.10.2014. On Saturday morning our AC unit iced-over (Freon leak!) and was not functioning. As a member of Angie's List I contacted Fresh Air for service. They have a solid grade of A. I was called back after 10 minutes, explained our problem, and scheduled an appointment for later that afternoon. The courteous service technician Brad H. arrived on time and directly proceeded to diagnose the problem, provide a course of action, and after our approval, solved our problem in a quick fashion. We had comfortable guests that evening and a successful Open House the next day. I would and will use their commendable services again.

We contacted Fresh Air on a Sunday morning to repair our AC unit that had stopped the evening before. They were able to send out a technician within a few hours and the timing was a relief to us as the temperatures that weekend were in the upper 90s. He confirmed our suspicion that the issue was a bad capacitor and had the unit cooling down the house within four hours after we first called. He was friendly and explained everything he was doing. They accepted a coupon we had from Angie's List for the repair resulting in the cost listed in the review.

I was very happy with them. They were able to get to my house very quickly when the AC went out and fixed the problem until they could get a part in. They also mDe sure all of the wRrenty work was handled correctly.

Excellent. Put request in after hours and they called early the next morning and fit me in which was great as we were without A/C and the temperature in our house was 85 and climbing. The work was performed quickly, the mess was minimal and the service tech was professional, punctual, informative and in tune with our needs. I will definitely use this company again and use them for our annual service checks for both heating and air conditioning!

We came home from vacation to a hot house (a Monday around 5:00). The furnace and A/C fans were running, but no cool air was coming out. I looked around Angie's List Big Deals for diagnostic deals and found one for Fresh Air. I bought it, and called to schedule an appt, hoping for Tuesday or Wednesday. Much to my surprise they said they can have someone out that evening! The A/C Tech that arrived was excellent. Our A/C unit isn't that old, but immediately noticed a few problems. He noted our compressor capacitor was shot and we also needed Freon. This was surprising to me because we had a full A/C inspection and cleaning just a few weeks prior by another company. After about 1/2 hour of work, the A/C was back online. I highly recommend Fresh Air for their responsiveness, professionalism and reasonable cost.

Tim Sinn came to the house and recommended the size & type of air conditioner we needed. He first counted up our air vents & returns along with calculating the square footage of our house. Fresh Air's bid to replace our 20+year old air conditioner was lower than the company that had installed the furnace in 2013 for the previous owners. Plus, in February they had installed a humidifier (An Angie's List Big Deal) and air cleaner for us. We were very satisfied with their price & workmanship. Two workers installed the new coil in the basement for the air conditioner along with new fittings and a drain. The outside unit was elevated on a new pad. The installation took about 4 hours. They mostly cleaned up their debris from the basement & around the outside unit. The new air conditioner provides cooler air with greater force. We can keep the thermostat one degree lower, too. The only drawback is that the outside unit is louder than the old one. Consequently, I contacted Fresh Air and their technician checked it out today. He determined that the fan must be replaced. I am pleased by their action --- I didn't get the mechanics' shrug!

We had two technicians come to our home to repair one of our air conditioners. I cannot believe how professional and polite they were. (Thank you!) Everything was thoroughly explained and options laid out. We will be using them again when needed. Note - the package deal offered on AL is the best way to go! This company is significantly less expensive than other local companies. Freon was $64 first gal. $54 addl gallons. Other places were in the $80s.

Very professional, gave us a quote to fix it, decided to go through homeowner's insurance. Was glad we called them first because I don't have much faith in the people the insurance company sends! Was worth the $59 to figure out what was really going on. This company is very reliable, professional, and seems like they really know what they are doing! Will definitely consider them again in the future.

As always, my furnace stopped working Saturday night on a very cold weekend in February. My normal furnace company does not make weekend service calls, so I used Angie?s List to find a provider who did not have a higher weekend rate. I called FreshAir on Sunday morning, and they had a tech to my house by 2 pm. The tech quickly diagnosed the failed inducer motor. The motor had to be ordered from Lennox, so he said they would call to schedule the install on Monday. While he was there, the tech also noticed that my humidifier damper was closed and showed me how to open it for the winter. On Monday, a different (but equally knowledgeable) tech arrived to install the part and gave me some additional tips to avoid future service calls. Overall, it was a positive experience, though I was lucky to have a gas fireplace as an alternate heating source.
