Fresh Air Heating & Cooling

We have been using them for many years. They give good services and we have never had any problems with them. We have a contract with them for the heating and AC work.

Overall, this is a posting about the integrity of this company. Long story short is that Fresh Air had identified a crack in our heat exchanger during our routine cleaning (just purchased the house 3 months earlier), and when my home warranty company came out to investigate the claim, their investigator said there was no crack. Naturally, I felt as if I had been taken advantage of by the intial diagnosis (perhaps unfairly assigning validity to the second opinion). Fresh Air took the claim that they were wrong very seriously and were out the next morning at 7am with the owner of the company to reinvestigate the situation. They took the time to actually point out to me what they saw and it was clearly a crack. The second contractor later came back and admitted there was a crack he had missed the first time. Ultimately, I would do business again with Fresh Air because of 1) their correct diagnosis of the problem and more importantly 2) their seriousness of making sure they understood what the true issue was. I was obviously not a happy person when I called them to let them know "their diagnosis was wrong," but they handled this in a professional manner even after it was revealed that they were in fact right. This is a business which is well operated and professional.

We had a great experience with Fresh Air. We needed to replace our whole heating/cooling systems and are very pleased with the result. Everyone from Fresh Air was very helpful and professional.

Different people have come to provide the bi-annual service. All of them were punctual and professionally performed the job. Easy to schedule appointments online.

They do have good ability and they come when they say they are going to come. If there are any issues or follow ups they come and address it right away. They are priced fairly. They explain what they are doing and do it. They clean up after themselves. They provide good service for what we pay.

The cost listed is for their maintenance contract. The furnace and air conditioner (high efficiency model) cost $10,000. They are friendly and competent.

They came and gave a good estimate, and they gave great service. They were quick and efficient. They cleaned up well after they were finished. They were very good.

Cost is yearly for the "check ups" of both heating and cooling.

Unlike the other firms we got bids from, the Fresh-Air sales person was more of a consultant, helping us to assess our needs and explaining our options. We chose a heat pump with a variable speed fan. All have performed well and should save us money each each month. The appointment to install was made quickly as they had all the parts in stock. The install crew was professional and nice and they did good quality work. And when our wires were unexpectedly inaccessible they offered us a higher end thermostat at their cost to solve the problem. Good job from initial call to finished install.

They did an incredible job. We got four different bids, all of which were comparable. The deciding factor was that our neighbor had used him and referred them to us. We are very happy with his work.

They were very professional both for the estimate and the installation. They were very knowledgeable and informative. They cleaned up everything and left it as it had been. I thought their prices were a little high but probably not since I bought the top of the line.

Howard and his crew did a great job. Arrived on time with two additional workers and moved the compressor very quickly.

We purchased a house that had a 45 year old furnace, which failed inspection and was shut off by the inspector. We had a couple of estimates, and were planning on having the work done after we moved in, but while we were working on the house the line to the water heater began to leak and we had to turn off the gas to the house. I called Fresh Air on a Friday afternoon to see when they could do the work, and they scheduled it for first thing Monday morning. It was a difficult job in a tight space, but they stayed until it was finished at 7 pm Monday night.

We were expecting the worse, but were pleasantly surprised. We thought they would have to remove the whole two feet between the old register and the new one from joist to joist. They were able to do the move by just cutting the new hole but with cuts into the surrounding boards. Instead of a big hole, we just got cuts into the wood. We are carpeting anyway, so I didn't mind the cuts. It looks like something that might be easily repaired if we weren't carpeting. I thought the price was a bit high for a few hours of work, but the quality of the work was great, so we didn't mind too much.

Howard is always on time and very professional. We will definitely keep using him.

WE HAVE USED HOWARD FOR YEARS AND HE IS GREAT. VERY PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL. WILL CALL AHEAD THAT HE IS COMING IF I REQUEST IT. SEEMS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND WE HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. HOWARD ALSO SERVICES OUR TWO AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS EACH SPRING. DEFINITELY WILL CONTINUE USING THE COMPANY.

THIS COMPANY UNHOOKED THE DRAIN HOSE, WHERE THE WATER DRAINS TO THE SEWER, TO GET IT OUT OF THE WAY OF THE FURNACE WHILE THEY WERE WORKING. THEY NEVER RECONNECTED THE HOSE WHICH CAUSED THE BASEMENT TO FLOOD. WHEN I CONTACTED THE COMPANY THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULDN'T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT AND THAT I MUST HAVE DONE IT. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

WITHIN DAYS OF HAVING A NEW A/C AND FURNACE INSTALLED BY THIS COMPANY, OUR ENTIRE BASEMENT WAS WET DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SUMP PUMP HAD BEEN UNPLUGGED. WE BELIEVE THE INSTALLERS UNPLUGGED IT TO ILLUMINATE THEIR WORKING AREA. THE SUMP PUMP WAS PLUGGED IN DIRECTLY BENEATH THE PLACE WHERE THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT WAS INSTALLED. WE CONTACTED FRESH-AIR IMMEDIATELY. UNFORTUNATELY, WE HAD NO WAY TO PROVE THAT THIS COMPANY WAS RESPONSIBLE AND THE INSTALLERS DENIED USING THE OUTLET. OVER THE COURSE OF 3.5 MONTHS WE SPOKE WITH THE OWNER NUMEROUS TIMES. IN AUGUST HE MADE A PROMISE TO SEND US HALF OF OUR INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE. 1.5 MONTHS LATER WE CALLED AGAIN AND FINALLY GOT A CHECK FOR 45% OF OUR DEDUCTIBLE. TO SAY THE LEAST, THIS HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE AND WE ARE VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE WE HAVE RECEIVED FROM THIS COMPANY.

THEY HAVE PROVIDED ANNUAL SERVICE TO US FOR 11 YEARS - THEIR PRICES CONTINUE TO BE COMPETITIVE AND THEY DO QUALITY WORK.

THEY WERE GREAT WITH ESTIMATES AND THE WORK WAS WELL DONE. THEY WERE QUICK AS WELL.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD ABOUT CALLING. THEY WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE HERE.

I LIKE THEM, BUT EVERY TIME THEY COME OUT THEY CHANGE A PART WITHOUT ASKING MY PERMISSION AND THEN CHARGE ME A LARGE AMOUNT.

THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A GOOD JOB.
