Fresh Air Heating & Cooling

We utilized the provider previously (as a result of an Angie’s List deal) to install a thermostat at a rental property. On 3/11/14, the tenant could not turn off the thermostat. I contacted Fresh Air and explained the issue. I asked that they call me when they were on the way. They confirmed with me that I would be called. I was never called. Additionally, when they arrived at the property, they informed the elderly tenant that the issue was not the thermostat. They indicated the issue was due to “burned wires”. Hearing the word, “burned”, the tenant (who just lost her husband) feared that the issue would cause a fire. The tenant authorized them to perform the work. Fresh Air knew that the tenant did not own the property, additionally, the tenant is not who called them, I did. They claimed to have replaced the wires, however, a few hours later, they could not provide the wires that they claim to have replaced. The Fresh Air representative required the tenant to pay the bill (even though I – the owner – contacted them). I was never contacted regarding the estimate or the bill. The tenant felt very uncomfortable and forced to pay a bill for which they were not responsible. On behalf of the elderly tenant, we filed an elder abuse complaint with the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services. On behalf of the elderly tenant, we also filed a complaint with the Missouri Attorney’s General Office for investigation to determine if Fresh Air violated the Financial Crimes Against the Elderly Legislation.

No problems. The serviceman was able to help muffle the noise of a condensation pump in the attic. Very pleased.

We have used Fresh Air per our maintenance agreement and twice in the last six months have discussed an air cleaner with their servicemen. Their servicemen have been very helpful and are good sales people. On January 21 we had an air cleaner installed by Dan. He tried hard to keep the pathways clean and dry because it had just snowed. The job was done professionally, and Dan was very patient with all of our questions and concerns.

I called Fresh Air this morning looking for a competitive bid for replacing my broken blower motor on my furnace. They offered an incredibly competitive price and performed the service the same day. The repair technician, Chris, used booties in my house to protect my floors. He was proficient and professional. I would not hesitate to call on Fresh Air again.

It worked out fine and there wasn't any additional cost. I've also had other service agreements with them. I've been very pleased with them.

I have used Fresh Air for 2 decades and they always perform excellent service and are highly responsive to our needs. I have had the AC go out in the middle of a horrid July and they responded with haste. On the bi-annual visits they check out my furnace, etc. and change the filter. This is an excellent company especially for someone who isn't a "do-it-yourselfer." I would especially recommend Fresh Air for folks who are both working professionals and just want the assurance that their system is running correctly without any gas leaks, in other words, for those who want the peace of mind that their system has no issues and is good-to go for the next six months, Fresh Air is superb.

It turned out very well. I ended up paying more because of the control panel. I think that the workman that came in was extremely professional and courteous. He put booties on before he came into the house. He was really good. I would use him again.

AC was not cooling in the morning, and the expected temperature was in the mid 90s that day. I searched around Angie's List and called this company. Luckily, a tech was able to come that same day/afternoon. The service call was $59 (with a $30 discount for AL members) and we were quoted $419 to replace a bad blower motor. I probably could have gotten a lower quote from another company, but given that the tech was able to come so quickly and fix the problem the same day would outweigh any savings. Overall, I am very pleased with the service quality and speed from the tech/company, just wish pricing could be a bit more competitivefor AL members.

Arrived promptly. A junior level guy came out and had difficulty diagnosing the problem. First it was the transformer, then the board, then it turned out to be two wires that had melted next to the primary switch at the unit?? He was there for over an hour. I used the diagnostic coupon I purchased for $60 and paid an additional $90 (I believe) for him to "clean up the wires that had melted together". I suspect the secondary fuse box breaker needed to be reset as the wires he had shown me looked fine and had the wires melted together there wouldnt be the proper power at the board. The plus side the guy stayed there and got it fixed with support from someone on the phone. I would recommend but ask for someone more experienced. The tech was polite and professional. So many repair people could sell you a $400 board when it is not needed so THAT is a very positive thing.

Our system has been regularly maintained by another company. This is a first visit from Fresh Air after we had previous work done by one of Fresh Air's predecessor companies. Technician Kevin P. was very pleasant and efficient. He spent a lot of time addressing a couple of our issues and answering questions. He is also a very good salesman when it comes to outlining possible future work.

The big deal I purchased provides for annual service on the A/C in the spring/summer and furnace in the fall/winter. I had purchased a new central air & heating system from Fresh Air a couple of years ago & was very pleased with the deal I received and their installation. Likewise, I was pleased with their maintenance service on my A/C. They were accommodating in scheduling and the service tech was punctual, thorough and courteous.

I picked this company because of its strong rating on Angie's List. Technician came out quickly and we were told the entire AC need to be replaced at a cost of $3800 approx. I noticed that the technician did not spend more than a couple mins looking at the compressor unit outside and then returned to the truck for 10 or 15 mins to take a phone call. He came back inside and said that the compressor was bad and the whole unit (inside and out) needed replacement. We called another HVAC company the next day, their technician came out, he fixed the compressor for $200. It's working fine now! It's companies like Fresh Air Weinrich that give the industry a bad name. I will not use or recommend them to anyone. Booo!

He cleaned my air conditioner and found a freon leak so he filled it with 1lb of freon to get my 17 yr old conditioner to run one more summer. They had a discount coupon for AC/Furnace checkup for Angie's list customers too

It was very good. If I do one of those one to five things like one being bad and five being the best, I would say it was five. He charged me for the fuse. He said the big deal would cover one service call. He said he had to charge for the part. I paid $25-$28, but it wasn't much. He came on time. The quality was great, the guy was great. He helped me, he explained everything. He came in and he took the time with the thermostat and he showed me some tricks and what I could do. They were good. It's just my only concern.

The tech arrived on time, put his booties on so as not to track in any dirt and went straight to work. Turns out a mouse had chewed through a wire on the outside unit! He fixed it asap. He also checked the unit to make sure all was in order and found us a bit low on the refrigerant so he filled it. It was done in a professional, efficient and very friendly and polite manner. He fixed the wire, checked the unit and filled it with refrigerant and the charge was only $130. I think very reasonable especially for a Saturday morning. We have used Fresh Air for years and have always been very happy and satisfied.

Bought the $99 yearly maintenance deal from Angie's List. This was a new company for me and am very happy I found them. They were on time, courteous, professional and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

The workman arrived as scheduled, covered his shoes and got right to work. He took time to make suggestions and answer my numerous questions. He explained how the annual service agreement works and suggested since the furnace had not been used in some time to be sure to call early to schedule that half of the service agreement. At all times, the technician was professional, courteous and efficient, even when needing to engage with other tradesmen who were working at the house.
