The mud-jacking (e.g. filling) was satisfactory. CAUTION - if you have an aggregate driveway - note that the filling they use for the drilled holes does not match the aggregate surface very well. It would seem they would/could come up with a filler more specific to aggregate surfaces. They did attempt to mix a bit of sand into their normal mixture ...but the result was still only fair. Overall A-1 performed well. They provided an estimate within 2 days. However I had to follow up two weeks later to get the work scheduled (they were waiting for warmer weather but neglected to call me back within the two week period. Once scheduled, the work was completed. They had to return to re-mix the filler (added sand) for the drilled holes so it would blend better with the aggregate surface and also to fill the holes so flush with the surface. Overall the service and result was satisfactory.

I called them the first day and left a message, I mention where our house is and he was out the same day to give an estimate. They did an excellent job. Leveled all the panels and it is all even now. Nothing was cracked. I would highly recommend them!

They were low priced. They offered a guaranty on their work. They came to our home when we weren't there, so they were happy to come back if we weren't happy with the work. They were professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend them.

Only criticisms were that the workmen failed to fill two leveling access holes in the sidewalk and they failed to tell us to leave the excess leveling material that seeped from the sidewalk edges alone to set, so as to keep the leveling material under the sidewalk completely in place until it set. As a result we immediately cleaned that area by removing the seepage when the workmen left. So we don't know if that cleaning will effect the integrity of the fill. And they cut the wires for the dog's hidden fence located in the driveway's expanding joint, which we had to have repaired. Had they told us of that necessity we would have told them about the wire there. The owner did come back the next day to seal the holes. Nothing could be done about the other two complaints, though he did agree the workmen were at fault in not communicating the need to let the seepage set. Certainly better communications would have prevented those situations.

It was an excellent experience the were very cooperative very prompt. I was actually out of town when they did the service and they cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend them and use them again.

They were on time. They did quite an excellent job. They just did what they were supposed to do. I was very pleased with the work. They did in a relatively fast way. They were very professional. This company was reasonably priced too.

We couldn't be more happy with their work. This is the only company I know that uses the material that shores things up from underneath and so they are in high demand. We were put on a waiting list and the owner can be slow at returning calls. Believe me though, its really worth the wait. Everything looks immaculate. Also, they guarantee their work for 3 years.

They did a great job and did exactly what we were looking for at a lesser price than anticipated.

I highly recommend anyone to look into using A-l Concrete to fix any concreted areas that have shifted or become uneven. Dave Sommerfeld, was a true professional to work with. He called back promptly and delivered an estimate within 24 hours. His two-man work team showed up on time, were courteous, and cleaned up the work area before leaving. I would hire them again for any concrete work and would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did a good job of leveling the patio, which involved raising the sections closest to the house. They had settled over time and left gaps. However, they did not do a good job of cleaning up. The excess material that was pumped under the patio was dumped in the flowerbeds. We had to dig this up. Both the patio and driveway required cleaning.

Estimate was done within several days of call. Work was done within 10 days of contract acceptance. No hassle. Professional work.

They were out within a couple days after calling for an estimate. They came promptly and left a proposal that same day. The other company took awhile to get out for a bid, and even longer to mail it to us. When calling to set an appointment with A-1, they told me that they were running about two weeks out. They asked if that would be okay. I told them that we were concerned about damage, especially since the porch held two support beams and a roof. They said that they would do their best to work us in. Sure enough, within two or three days, they had a crew out and completed the job that same morning. The crew was friendly and professional, explaining what they were doing, making suggestions and asking how we wanted the sidewalk raised. The work performed was good and they even cleaned after themselves. There are some small issues regarding asthetics and so forth, but overall a very good experience. Not only were they the most prompt, but the least expensive as well.

DAVID CAME AND GAVE AN ESTIMATE FIRST. HE TOLD ME THE BENEFITS AND RISKS INVOLVED WITH ALL THEY DO, WHICH SOUNDED VERY REASONABLE TO ME. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME, BEGAN WORK, RAN INTO A SLIGHT SNAG AND HAD TO GO GET ANOTHER SAW BLADE, BUT STILL MANAGED TO FINISH IN THE 2 HOUR RANGE GIVEN DURING THE ESTIMATE. THEY DID EVERYTHING JUST THE WAY THEY SAID AND WERE VERY FRIENDLY AS WELL. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I HAVE WITH THEM IS THE LENGTH OF TIME IT TOOK FOR THEM TO GET BACK TO ME. OTHER THAN THAT ISSUE I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK WHICH BY THE WAY IS GUARANTEED FOR 2 YEARS IF I SHOULD HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH THE SLABS SINKING AGAIN. LOVE THAT!!

IT WAS OK, BUT IT BOTHERED ME WHEN I INSISTED THAT I BE HOME WHEN THEY DID THE WORK AND DAVE SEEMED IRRITATED. THE WORK WAS PRETTY GOOD, BUT THERE ARE 2 PLACES THAT COULD USE CEMENT BETWEEN THE PIECES OF CONCRETE. DAVE POINTED THESE OUT TO ME AFTER THE CONCRETE TRUCK LEFT. HE TOLD ME HOW TO DO IT. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN EASY FOR THEM TO DO WHILE THE TRUCK WAS THERE.

THE OWNER WAS A VERY NICE PERSON, BUT I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. STATED NO PROBLEMS WHEN GIVING ESTIMATE, BUT GAVE A DIFFERENT STORY AFTER FLOOR WAS PARTIALLY RAISED CAUSING SEVERAL MAJOR CRACKS. HE STATED ONE SIDE COULD NOT BE RAISED BECAUSE OF CONSTRUCTION, YET HE RAISED IT UNTIL IT BROKE A HUGE CHUNK OF CONCRETE. NOT WILLING TO NEGOTIATE A LOWER CHARGE EVEN THOUGH THE FLOOR WAS NOT RAISED ALL THE WAY AND HAD MAJOR CRACKS RUNNING EVERY DIRECTION. DID NOT COMPLETE THE HOLES DRILLED OR CLEAN UP THE GARAGE WHEN FINISHED.

WORK WAS DONE IN PROPER MANNER, AND VERY HELPFUL WITH SUGGESTION ON ANOTHER PROJECT.
