A 1 Concrete Leveling

I called them to schedule for a quote. Once I received the quote i followed back up with dave to see how the whole process works. He mentioned they would not be sure of exact install date since we were in winter with the weather. after a few weeks i followed back up to get a date and they installed the next day/ Greg showed up to do the job. He was very nice and did a great job. They left the driveway clean and free of any debris. I would recommend them again.

Requested estimate and it was provided within days. Bid was very competitive compared to others. Accepted bid and scheduled work. Work was actually completed ahead of schedule. Great job overall.

They came out an gave me a bid. I faxed them that the bid was acceptable and then I did not hear back from them for a month. I called them back and they apologized. They drilled holes in the concrete and pump this limestone solution in. I was lead to believe that the holes would not be apparent and would blend in. They do not, they stick out like a sore thumb. The price was as agreed so that was okay. Also, at one end of the porch the stuff has poured out and it runs out into the yard. It took me two faxes and two phone calls and you can't do it once the weather changes. I called them originally in October. Bottom line is I would not use them again because the finished product was not what I thought it would be. They did seem to know what they were doing. Also, I did get a discount for using Angie's List.

We didn't use his company because he said the work was something he could do but felt another contractor would be better suited. Since I had columns set on the porch step, they would have to be removed for him to do the work and he did not remove columns.

Came out promptly to give estimate. Once we called to have the job scheduled, it took a little longer than I expected to actually schedule. They may have been busy because of the weather; drought starts to mess with concrete. But once it was scheduled, they showed up on time, the people were professional and knowledgeable. It took about a day to do all three of our jobs.

Dave Sommerfeld provided a quick estimate on lifting sunken driveway. His crew came on 7-18-12 and did the work in a timely and satisfactory manner on an extremely hot day. I am satisfied with the work and would use his company again.

Absolutely the best. David the salesperson did a good job of explaining the work to be done and provided supporting material. The workers (Craig and Matt) were very professional and took care to do the job correctly. A special thanks for staying with the job and finishing the work in a quality manner even though it turned out to be a larger effort than they or I thought it would be. Great cleanup when job was completed. Thanks.

I had a really bad crack and dislocation of a slab of sidewalk concrete along my patio. David came to provide a quote and arrived right on time. After quoting the sidewalk repair, I mentioned there was a crack in the center of my garage floor and wondered it if should have any repair work done. Dave also quoted that job and the workman (Greg) arrived as scheduled on Wednesday. He repaired the sidewalk first, then began working on the garage floor. The "void" beneath the floor ended up being enormous and he had to come back on Friday with more limestone to complete the job. He was a great communicator, keeping me posted on when he would arrive, what he was doing and when he expected to finish the job. Both Dave and Greg were the most courteous people I've every had to work for me. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The finished product is great and I no longer stub my toes when walking over the sidewalk to the patio! I would gladly recommend this company to a friend or acquaintance.

Workers arrived about an hour after the scheduled start time but that was the worst thing that happened all day. It was a professional crew who understood what to do and took the quality of the work very seriously. A common complaint with mudjacking is the mess it leaves behind and I was very impressed with the cleanup they did afterward. I'm certain this work has saved me the expense of concrete replacement and eliminated a serious trip hazard.

Good experience. Owner showed up on time to provide estimate. Estimate was fair considering what it would have cost to remove and replace uneven dangerous sidewalk. Agreed to have work performed. Workmen showed up on time, described work to be performed and got right to it. Only one issue came up that prevented straight 'A's'. During cleanup the workmen washed their equipment in my flowerbed leaving slurry all over our flowers and the side of our house. I pointed out that this was unacceptable and they attempted to clean it up. They mentioned that this was the way they always did it and that it would wash away in the rain. Even after they cleaned up as much as they could and I went back and removed more of it, it took months for it to finally wash off completely. I would still highly recommend them, but you may want to watch where they do their cleanup.

Everything was okay. They were professional and showed up on time. They said they could probably not do the work for me. I didn't go with them because they were not able to do the mudjacking work for me. It was more complicated than simple mudjacking. They were responsive.

Dave and his great crew mudjacked the stairstepped concrete slabs and fixed it up like new - with perfectly flat, level, even sections and transitions. Saved us the huge cost of tearing out and replacing the entire driveway! We rehab homes and have used A-1 on a number of occasions. They have done an amazing job for us each time. They have done driveways, sidewalks, and porches for us over the last few years. We will continue to use them whenever we have a concrete leveling issue of any kind. We have no hesitation whatsoever about recommending them to anyone!

I think they did a fine job. We will use them in the future.

Called for a bid several weeks ago. Received the bid in short order and authorized the work to be completed. Was under the impression that this small job might be done relatively soon. That did not happen, however, it took several weeks to get it done. Left several messages asking when they might show up with no response at all. That was the most frustrating part of the experience. A simple phone message back stating that they were every busy would have been just fine. Bottom line, however, is that they did show up after about three weeks and completed the job just fine. Also, gave me a written note stating they were sorry it took so long and a $50 discount for being an Angie's list subscriber. I am a happy camper.

They arrived at the agreed upon time with 3 workers and immediately drilled holes to inject the leveling mix, but seemed in a hurry to get somewhere else. After that 1 worker was left to do the job. He was unable to raise certain areas of the floor and it is now angled to where water drains toward the house side of the garage instead of out the door end. Neither the owner nor any supervisor ever came by to check on the job. A hose came out of one of the holes while pumping and sprayed mixture all over the walls and tools, etc. hanging on the walls. I was told to "just take a broom and brush it off". Took me 2 days to clean up the mess.

My experience with them was fine. He had to come back a second time to redo something, which he did. It wasn’t 100% satisfactory, but he claimed he couldn’t do anything more, so I just let it go. I would probably talk to them but I will not directly go with them in the future.

The job went exceedingly well, as described above.

They were professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves. They did what they said they would do. I would hire them again.

David came out quickly to do estimate when I called. Work was done at a time that was convenient for me. It was done quickly, properly and professionally. The crew cleaned up everything including washing out the garage where a little of the material was spilled. The entire process could not have been better, from the estimate to the completed job.

We had a fine experience with them. We had a minor problem, so they came back, acknowledged, and corrected it very efficiently.

We are impressed by their respect of our time that we needed while my wife was having surgery. I also liked that he was willing to come back out, after 2 years, and still stand by his price that he originally quoted to us. This company does excellent work. Considering their job is very messy, their cleanup was superb. Their response time was very good. Mudjackers (concrete workers) work according to the weather, so the work was scheduled around when they saw fit to come out to complete the job. They were also at our place first thing in the morning and worked diligently till the job was finished. I will use this company again for future projects.

My floor had sunk, it is just a concrete slab so there was separation of the floor and wall on both sides, making one wall loose and the doors did not open and close properly. David promptly returned my phone call, made an appointment to come out. Came when he said he would, gave the estimate. He estimated it would be 3 weeks until he could come. When he came they worked hard, the results were amazing everything works and the walls are intact again and his cleanup perfect.

They said what they were going to do. They were reasonable price, they left a little mess, but over all they had good services.

Excellent job. Concrete is now level with very little evidence remaining from the holes needed to perform the mudjacking.

Due to the onset of cold weather, they were not able to schedule an exact date. They showed up one day and performed the work. The leveling was great. The holes were filled, but not smoothed/leveled. I smoothed those off myself with a trowel. Otherwise, very pleased.
