I've had nothing but professional experiences with them. They're courteous, wear the slip on foot coverings to come into my home and are very professional.

Seth, salesman for Design Aire, was wonderful in deciding which furnace was best for my size home and gave me a very good price and warranty for a 80% 100,000 BTU furance. I did not have to repace my A/C coil as it was in good condition while other companies who bid on replacing my furnace were adamant that I HAD to replace the coil if I was replacing furnace or I would have an inefficient system. Also other furnace contractors said I must install a 120K BTU furnace, which my old inefficient furnace had, or I would not get enough heat, all of which Seth assured me was not the case and so his price was the best. Also the Trane Co., which Design Aire installs, gives you an option to finance for 3 years with no interest which was 2 years longer than all other companies I got bids from. I took them up on that offer. They also fixed my furnace attached humidier for no charge.

Steve from Design Aire was at the house by 10 AM. He could see the unit have iced over and had me kick on the heat to defrost things. He was able to add 2 lbs of freon to the system after doing several tests and readings. He told me this would get me through the rest of the cooling season but I should consider replacing the unit before next summer. He even left me with an estimate for a new unit before he left. The unit has been working fine ever since. I will probably get a few bids but unless they are substantially better I will go with Design Aire. I highly recommend them, they have been my normal provider of HVAC for approximately 3 years.

I went with them because they installed the rest of the system. Everything seemed fine. I built a new home and they installed the HVAC so I decided to use them to keep everything as clean as possible. Their price was as competitive as everybody else. The experience was fine.

The service was excelent. Design Aire was able to come out my first available date to check out the problem. I had gotten two other estimates from well known suppliers, and the price range was all within the same ball park. However, Seth from Design Aire just appeared more knowledgable. When speaking with the female receptionist as well as Joe the actual technician, the same well informed , extremely customer friendly tone was consistant. We ordered the same day of estimate but because of our family's holiday plans had to reschedule the installation. It was effortless and Designaire was non judgemental. We are very pleased! We already have scheduled after Labor Day heating/furnace cleaning!! The biggest surprise was when I received a follow up call the next day from Seth -he was just checking on everything and encouraged us to call if we had any questions or concerns. That was truly a first and very much appreciated. Design Aire gets an A++ !! with a smiley face.

Jim has always been honest , fair and patient, as was his dad. Two service men arrived as planned, got their work done with minimal disruption and were gone, but not without a demo on using the new digital thermostat. Everything seems to be working great! They recently replaced our old furnace as well. I would highly recommend them.

I have been a long time customer of Design Aire, 10 years. This company designed and built the system which came with my house. Since I am in the process of remodeling my house and had a kitchen ceiling taken down, I decided to redo the Hvac system at the same time. I met Seth Goldkamp, and found him to be both personable as well as knowledgeable. He came over to the house and examined the entire system. This man is of the highest ethics. He looked at my furnace and told me that since I was a member of the preventive maintaince that my furnace had plenty of life left in it. He addressed the needs which I had mentioned. I was also impressed that he met his crews the day of the work and made certain that he was available to meet with my kitchen and bath people as well as answer any questions that I might have. His crews were both very knowledgeable as well as efficient. After a cow[le of weeks had passed, it became apparent that another project would have to be undertaken as the new kitchen layoput meant that the Hvac line no longer matched with the new kitchen cabinets. No problem, Seth just took care of matters. Throughout the various projects, his crews always explained the work being done and kept my house clean. The execution of this work will make me want to stay with Design Aire for another 10 years. Thanks to everyone. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Work was completed entirely to my satisfaction. The installation was done professionally and on time. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Called Desgin Aire at 8 am for service. 2nd Floor had no heat. They said service would be before noon. Service man arrived as stated and replaced defective ignitor. Service was efficient and professional. Great response. Will always use them for service.

Gary came out to look at my furnace. It was not working and I was without heat. He ran some test and determined that it perhaps needed a new circuit board. He proceeded to go out to the truck to see if he had one had. Upon inspection he discovered that it also needed a new blower as well. Based on the repairs I decided to have a new unit installed. We scheduled an appointment for the install for two days later. I wanted to be home the date it was installed so I took the day off work. The morning of the install an emergency happened at work and I ended up needing to come in. I called the office on an emergency an hour before my scheduled appointment for the install and left a message asking if I could reschedule. Luckily my boyfriend was at my home and I elected to have the unit installed anyway. My boyfriend needed to get going to work as well so he left them there to install the unit. The technician called me when the work was completed. The unit was installed quickly and I had heat when I arrived home.

I have worked with Jim Goldkamp and the folks at Design-Aire over the years. They were always knowledgeable and helpful. We bought a new home at the end of last year. The home is about 12 years old. It had the original furnace and air conditioner. The previous owners had trouble with the Lennox equipment. And we had trouble with the Lennox Air Conditioner as well. So we thought it would be a good time to upgrade. I talked with Jim about the situation. Jim asked me a lot of questions about the house, the equipment, how we lived, etc. Jim came out to inspect the house. Focusing on the venting, insulation, how the attic was ventilated, etc. Jim proposed a new system for us. We had questions about the features and functions of the new system. Jim explained all of those with professionalism and skill. We setup a date for the installation. Jim called the day before to make sure we were all set. The team arrived right on time. They worked together effortlessly to remove the failing Lennox equipment and replace it with new Trane components. The work was done on time. The house was spotless after they left. The equipment is working flawlessly. We couldn't be happier.

Saturday, August 10th at 5pm the secnd floor unit was not cooling. Called Design Aire emergency call. John Kelly called at 5:30pm. Would be coming within the hour. Was on time. Did the work in a professional and effecient manner. Would recommend Design Aire.

The AC system I had was losing its charge constantly so the coil was freezing up. It was time for a new system or some major repairs. I searched around online and came across Designaire out of Bridgeton and figured I would give them a try to quote for a new condenser and coil. I setup an appointment with Jim Goldkamp and we worked out that a new unit could be put in for around $2800 for a TRANE unit. I felt like Jim was very honest with me, and he also did not seem to try to push me into buying an ultra-high end unit like another company tried (who quoted $8500). It took a little over a week to get their guys out here to replace the unit because it was the beginning of the warm season and I am sure everyone was turning on their AC and needed help!! One of my other issues was financing, not having the world's best credit it was proving a challenge to find a loan for $3000 but I applied for the Wells Fargo Projects Card through Designaire's website and was approved for way more than this job required. The deal is 0% interest for 36 months, but the interest is really paid up front so I ended up with a $3100 balance on a $2800 job. Not too bad in my opinion, especially for someone with mediocre credit to get approved. A few months down the line here and this Trane unit has been keeping us cool like a champ. The old 1980's unit would run all day, this unit turns off quite often, so it does not seem to be struggling at all to keep us cool. I am very happy with Designaire, I am very happy with the TRANE unit and I am very happy with the service provided by the technicians and by Jim Goldkamp. All in all I think this is an honest company that is well priced and very easy to do business with. I would use them again in a heart beat.

Our 90yr old 1000sf house was given a new life after DesignAire masterfully designed and installed our replacement AC and furnace. Jim Goldkamp gives full consideration to the customer by patiently explaining the pros and cons of each component along with their substantial rebates. His command of the subject matter ultimately enables the customer to make a fully informed decision and shorten their due diligence. Each of his 4 system proposals were promptly emailed, clearly presented and free of ambiguity. Joe and Blake dotted the i?s with their expert installation. When routing pipes the customer?s preference was chosen rather than their ease of installing. Craftsmanship was evident in the finishing touches that will prevent premature aging. I am happy to highly recommend DesignAire?s team for the Nordstrom level of quality and customer service and doing the job right the first time.

Very professional and efficient in every aspect from the original quote through the installation. The installation team appeared and started work at the exact promised time. I would not hesitate to use Design Aire again or to recommend them to others.

Jim with Design Aire was great to work with. On the day of the estimate, he called in advance to let me know he was running late (he was coming from over 30 minutes away) and offered me the option to reschedule instead of just showing up late. He came for the initial estimate and spent a significant time with me discussing several options. Importantly, he gave what he thought would be the best option based on what I was looking for (variables included overall cost, savings over time, estimated time left in the home, etc.). Not only was the quote the lowest for a Trane model, it was the lowest overall. He answered all of my questions on the day of the estimate and continued to answer them quickly by email when I came up with some others. On the day of installation Marcus arrived a bit before I expected but he waited in the truck until just before 8 even though I opened the door to let him know I was awake; this probably doesn't seem like much but to me it meant that he cared that sometimes being early might be too early. Both Marcus and Cameron introduced themselves and went promptly to work. Great care was taken to protect my hardwood floors and walls. I was able to sit back and get some work of my own done while they worked with occasional chit chat in between. Again, all of my questions were answered and they were thorough in explaining the new system to me. The cleanup was just as swift as the setup. The system installed is great and works like a charm! It is quiet, efficient, and looks a heck of a lot better than our old unit. I was skeptical about how quiet the outdoor condenser unit versus the more expensive model would be despite Jim's claim, but he was right; honestly, when I'm outside I can't even tell that it has kicked on or is running. Overall, I got estimates from several companies since when I started I didn't know anything about HVAC except furnaces make it hot and condensers make it cold. If I had to do it again I would pick Design Aire in a heartbeat.

It was great. They arrived promptly, and the guy took care of the problem competently. He actually worked to make it economical by doing the annual service while he was there, because I really called him for the furnace leak. They have just been reliable. I have had leaky furnaces; they are always very responsive. They come in as quickly as they possibly can. Once it was a very quick service, they didn’t even charge me because it literally took them five minutes. Their price is comparable with other companies I've used.

We always had the same guy come out for several years now. His name is Greg and he is really good. He checks everything thoroughly and cleans anything that is dusty. He is just real professional and very friendly. He is very proficient.

They offered high quality, and professional and punctual staff. They designed the original system, and also maintained it over the years. They always show up to appointments on time and extend courtesy by covering their feet with booties. Whenever I have questions they answer them thoroughly and I've been pleased with them.

Excellent experience overall. Seth was a pleasure to work with. Trane unit is efficient and super quiet. Would recommend highly.

Design Aire replaced an old furnace plus A/C unit with new high-efficiency TRANE equipment in October 2011. We were using our A/C more frequently this spring and recognized an annoying noise inside the house coming from the generator of the A/C outdoor unit. Seth Goldkamp and the service team came out several times and finally fixed the problem in a very professional way (w/o charges). Seth Goldkamp proofs to be an outstanding contractor who provides excellent customer care (even after installation). I am very satisfied with Design Aire and would highly recommend them to everybody with HVAC trouble.

I had one of those like heating cooling units, in a room addition that I have, like they have in the hotels, and the heating element had gone out. I actually had another company in here, and he couldn't figure it out, and I paid for the service charge and I said that was fine, and I got Design Aire in here the same day and he came out and in minutes knew what was wrong, he fixed it, and he waited out in the driveway. I asked him if he wanted to wait in the house, because it was warm, and he said no he had paperwork to do and he would wait out in the car for a couple of hours waiting for the part to arrive and he came in and installed it. He then apologized that it cost so much because they went from manual to digital. So, I was very very happy with them.

This company has always been very accomodating and customer oriented. I recently renewed my service agreement for a second year. The technicians have been courteous, informative, and NEAT - never any leftover "evidence" of them having worked on the equipment.

Service provider was very professional, punctual and very pleasant to deal with.
