They did a good job. The gentleman that worked on our house, Russ, was meticulous. He did work by himself so it took a long time, but it was worth the wait. I would use his services again in the future.

The project took a little longer than expected but we are very happy with the end result.

.The salesman came and made his pitch. Typical salesman, pitching. I had four windows that I had installed a few years ago via another Angie's List provider that I had spent considerable time researching and he made a comment that they weren't as good as his windows. Were it not for the time crunch in getting the work done for the income tax rebate, I'd have moved on. When I called him on his cell phone the next day to tell him we had made our decision, he didn't know who I was. The quote was made. We agreed to the price. The windows were ordered and installed. We were told that someone would call us shortly to follow up with any problems with the windows (we had concerns about a small area on one of the screens). No one ever called back. Granted, if there were problems we could have called them, but it's just wrong to promise something and not follow up on it. Overall, the installation went fine, the two guys installing were pros, no complaints there. They installed the windows and cleaned up everything completely. It was the sales and service issue that left this company with a grade B in my opinion.

It was an insurance claim from hail damage. They were fast and did a good job. They were very reasonable in their prices even though I didn't have to pay for it. The workers were very good and everything was fine.

Salesman was nice, very knowledgeable about the product. Price was somewhat hired than others we got quotes from, but we liked that it was a local company and that they did not hire subs to do the installation. The salesman didn't check to see if other windows needed to be replaced and one we never see (in a closet) got missed. He did say when we wanted to replace it, they would give us a good price on it (after we realized it had been missed). The men who did the installation were nice and seemed to know what they were doing, but them seemed hurried and left a bigger mess than I would have liked. The finished product looks great, so overall it was a fine experience, and I would hire them again.

Sales appointment went well, on time, everything great!

Once the doors were manufactured, which took about four weeks, an appointment was scheduled for installation. Charles, the installer arrived within the time speciifed. Thank goodness I do not have a finished basement, so it was easier for him to install the new doors. He was very thorough in putting together a frame to put the door in and it fit perfectly. It looks great with a neat caulking job around the outside and inside mouldings and the door slides very easily and locks tight for good security. He cleaned up the job site and left it as he found it. He even hauled away the old door and parts. Would use DALCO again for other remodeling jobs.

They were horrible. They had people who were unskilled. The job was supposed to take two or three days and it took a month. They did not side all the surface of the house. I found areas that were not done a year later. The work they did do on some porch columns already peeled off and I've had to have it replaced once. They were horrible all the way around. I could not say one positive thing. They left my yard a mess. There were nails, cigarette butts and their trash all over my yard. I had to call them four or five times to clean up all the nails in my yard. The people they subbed out were unskilled and completely unreliable after they did the job. They were terrible. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody and I would never, never use them again.

Everything went well. The installers were polite, clean, and did exactly what they had promised. I have no complaints with their work.

They did a good job. The salesman was a little confusing. What I was promised didn?t happen. I told him I would pay him once I received the check from insurance company. He said this was fine as they had worked with insurance company in the past. In reality he wanted the payment as soon as the work was completed.

They were really expensive and not very flexible with their estimates. I had about four estimates and Dalco was way out of line with the others. They insisted on certain things. They said they warranteed their work but to get it there were some things they wanted to do at my expense. They wanted to remove the siding on the dormers but we have brand new siding that is expensive. They said they had to do it to be sure that the flashing under the siding was okay but I?ve never had problems with those areas. I know they come highly rated but I just couldn?t give them the job. They came out right away; in fact, they were the first company to come out. We have a large, spread out house with a lot of angles and I was having a problem with one area that has a low pitch to the roof. It?s about 3000 square feet that I ended up replacing but they were estimating for about 700 of those square feet and they wanted an amazing amount of money. I couldn?t justify it and their warrantee wasn?t any better than anyone else?s. It wasn?t a terribly pleasant experience because the guy that came out was acting like he was better than I was which I found insulting. I challenged him on some things and he was very condescending. I was happy to see the guy go. He was here for three or four hours which was much too long and a pain in the neck because I had things to do. Other people came out to get the measurements, went home, and then got back to me with the estimate. I told him that some things that he wanted to do were deal breakers and he called me back a few days later to tell me that he talked to his boss and they could be flexible. I don?t like that kind of behavior because I want people to be up front with me.

Dalco was referred to us by several friends. Their bid was the lowest we received. They showed up on time everyday and cleaned up at the end of the day. They worked with only a short lunch break. They knew what they were doing. We were so pleased with Dalco that we gave the installers gift certificates for Outback Steakhouse. It was the same with the door. Good price and great work.

Larry arrived to our house and went into details regarding the materials for the Cabinets, Flooring, Plumbing, Electrical, and Granite.

Marty was quite thorough and climbed onto my personal residence roof to take measurements. His estimate was provided on-site, and was a little higher than others I had gotten. He explained the whole job his company would provide in nice detail. I told him I had a rental property I was also seeking a bid for replacing the roof. He went by that property within a few days and reported back to me his estimate for that roof, which was thought to be reasonable and competitive at the time. Dalco did not get the work basically due to the price quoted as somewhat high based on subsequent estimates.

They called back once and said they would call back but they did not call back. They broke a few appointments. They did not follow up. I will not be using them. I will not be giving them a good reference.

The estimator, Marty, did an extremely thorough job examining our house and measuring every single detail. He listened to us very carefully and he listened everything we wanted. He came out and measured again after his first visit, and then he sent his window crew to measure the windows. The siding installers were extremely professional. They have done this kind of work many times, and they were very hard workers. No mistakes, no problems, very detailed oriented. The window installers took all of our old windows out (11) within an hour, and by noon all of the new windows were installed. They created all of the trim piece by piece by hand, and they didn't stop all day. The double front door was the biggest challenge, but their most experienced installer handled it beautifully. It's an exceptional piece of work. Dalco was the lowest bidder of 3 companies, and their work was extremely detailed. The crew members are perfectionists.

They work effectively and diligently from start to finish. Cleanup was perfect. The professionalism of all parties, from estimator to job superintendent was evident snd greatly appreciated. One of the best firms I have hired for service ib St Louis since 1982. We are very pleased with oir ne roof.

The job went fine - there were no problems. They were one of the few companies that would put down two layers of felt under the shingles. The other roofing companies would not offer that and I recieved around 30 different estimates all together. They did a good job of cleaning up outside, however not as well inside in the attic where a lot of debris fell.

Too many issues to report but here are a few. Plumbing mistake, lead to ceiling repair to kitchen & dining room. No show on a few of the days scheduled to work. Messy, did not clean up (which was promised). Took 3 months to complete due to numerous excuses, and additional problems. Also had to have dining room table refinished due to plumbing mistake made by workers.

I call the company and asked for an estimate on a replacement garden window. They would not do that but insisted on sending someone out to measure. He came, measured and gave us the cost; $2,351 for a 46" wide by 33" high window--one window. He also measured for a window replacement with a broken seal. He had to check on that price. I told him his price was $900 (actually $1100) over a previous estimate. He said he would talk to management. He never called back, not even as a courtesy or to bid the replacement window. This is a very poor way to do business. They just didn't care. They are wasting money on advertising.

The sales presentation was excellent. Tom was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He gave us options. We felt like we made an informed decision. After getting two other bids we decided to go with Dalco. We felt they were the most professional, and had the best product. Although the cost was quite a bit higher than some other companies we felt that the craftsmanship and service would be excellent. A few days after we made our decision, someone came out to do measurements of our windows. He was prompt, clean and polite. The windows arrived sooner than estimated. They were installed over a two day period by a team of installers. Communication throughout the process was excellent and all work was done on time.

They are excellent. They cleaned-up after they did the work. The price was fair for the job they did and they also gave me a discount. They promised to get the work done in a week's time and they did it. They did a very nice job. A friend of mine referred them to me. I had about two or three other people's prices before I picked them.

We received the bid a bid. They were a little slow getting back to us ad more expensive, so we went with another company.

Was the most thorough of those I got estimates from. Walked the roof rather than just relying on the insurance estimate. Very helpful in explaining work and helping me work with insurance company. Marty was always available by phone if I had a question. The crew was outstanding and very professional and polite. The crew gets extra bonus points for working very carefully around my satellite dish and making sure I didn't lose TV at all. Roof looks great and they cleaned up everything. I am very pleased with the work Dalco did.

They were excellent. I had several different bids for this project. They were somewhere in the middle for the price on the estimates. The product is excellent. When I had a minor complaint, they got in touch with me and came out immediately. I would absolutely use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.
