Miracle Method

Miracle Method first sent out Bob to give us an estimate and provide options. The estimate was about 80% cheaper than the estimates we received from contractors to completely tear down the bathroom to studs and rebuild everything. We were impressed by the samples, so we agreed to a start date a few weeks later. Miracle Method needed three days to complete our project. On the first day, they removed the shower and began the cleaning process. The cleaning agents they used are definitely noticeable throughout the house, but it was nice weather out so we were able to keep the house aired out with the windows open. By the end of the first day, they were able to pain the shower stall and bathroom tile floor. Day one was about seven hours. On the second day, Miracle Method returned and finished prepping the tile walls (removing the cemented-on old towel bars, toothbrush holder, cup shelf). They then sprayed the new white paint over the pink tiles. Day two was about four hours. On the third day, Miracle Method returned to install the new shower enclosure. Except for a minor issue with custom fitting the pieces, everything went in easy. Because of the taller height of the shower walls we chose, the frame didn't quite meet up with the tile wall height. They ordered custom-fit matching hardware to fill the gaps, but this took a couple of weeks to come in. There was no additional cost for these parts, or their return trip a few weeks later to install (which took about twenty minutes). In the end, we are completely satisfied with the work Miracle Method did and would easily recommend them for any old bathroom or kitchen. Everyone who has seen our bathroom can't believe the tiles weren't always white.

The short version is that the result was spectacular (though I cannot yet say anything about durability). This reglazer had capabilities (fixing tile, installing doors), which the other reglazer I contacted did not. Overall they were very good to work with, though I did have one case where they showed up late which was quite inconvenient. Here are a few details: 1. The best thing about this was the result. We had ugly, cracked, 50's era pink and green tile in two baths. We asked them to do white on the walls, and kind of a mottled grey/white on the floor. I was stunned by how good the white tile looked in the end. I literally blurted out "WOW!" when I saw it. We have identically sized real-white tile on the backsplash in our kitchen, and it really doesn't look different unless you want to scrutinize the grout. 2. I had talked to 2 contractors about full bath rehabs, and because opening up the wall had so many unknowns, going with the reglazing cost at least $20,000 less across the two bathrooms, and quite possibly more. It also really cut down on the risk, both contractors had allowances, and had told me up front that once they opened the walls, they didn't know what they would find and need to fix. 3. This company was particularly useful because they were able to do minor tile repairs prior to reglazing. We had a 12" square laundry chute in one bath which is now filled with wires and pipes from various rehabs. They were able to cover it over, and now you cannot tell it was there. Similarly, we had some old corroded soap dishes in the tile which they were able to pull out, and cover over with tile. 4. The one minor disappointment was they were late getting the door, and had to reschedule the door install. That was fine, but I scheduled them to come out from 7am - 8am so they wouldn't conflict with painters who were working there. I called the day before to confirm 7am, and they said yes. However, on that day they showed up at 7:30am, which had them conflicting with my painters. This was in the bathroom where I most needed the painters to work, because I had electrical in that bathroom the next morning. That was annoying. All this said, the door itself looked awesome. I paid a little more to get a 3/8" thick door without a frame (just hinges and glass, basically, and I was super happy with it. Despite (4), I would still highly recommend Miracle Method. I was super happy with the result, and overall they were professional and helpful.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. They did a really nice job. I've had a lot of bathtubs refinished and their method is higher than the normal method so I don't know if it will last as long because they do use a different method for refinishing bathtubs. I spent approximately an additional $200. They were very quick about coming out to do the work. I would probably use them again but a normal bathtub refinish is $300 and their normal price is $600. I wouldn't do it without a coupon. They did a good job and it has a good warranty if it lasts.

They did an excellent job. My old, early 1950's tub and tile looks brand new. As part of the process they re-grout all the tile, remove and replace all the old caulking and get rid of any mold. The finished job doesn't look fake or out of place in a 60+ year old house. I had the vanity top done in a finish that somewhat resembles granite. It looks good too and keeps the room from being completely white. I agree with everyone else who commented that the smell is obnoxious! When the technician has to wear a respirator, you know it's bad. They have a big fan with ductwork to remove as much of the odor as possible. Luckily they were here on a day when having the windows open to help ventilate was no problem. The work took 2 days to complete including the installation of my new shower door (it's beautiful, too). A day or so after the work was done I noticed a few areas that needed some touch-up so I call Tabatha and scheduled a return visit from Bryan. The job from start to finish of the touch-ups took less than a week. Even though my bathroom is only 5'x7', I'd put it up against any of those re-do's on HGTV or DIY!

They were very prompt in returning my request for information. The service was just more expensive than I was expecting. I would contact this provider in the future if we decide to refinish our tub or floor.

Went well. They had to come back a couple of times because I wasn't ready or could not decide. Ultimately they did a great job and were really nice to work with. Fumes are strong for a few days so do not plan a party right after. No big deal.

It went well. Prompt in getting back to me and scheduling. the bathtub and shower look nice. the countertops look good but there is a ridge over where two of the countertop edges were a bit uneven and some irregularities on the finish, but it looks better than the original ones.

Responsive to scheduling and giving estimate there are some ridges and surface irregularities on the countertop but overall it looks better than the originals there was a bad chemical odor but i was prewarned of this and it was a warm enough day to open some windows

They arrived on time, explained clearly what they were going to do, and completed it. It looks great.

The gentleman arrived on time He showed me what he was going to I chose the color. He said fumes would be like a strong paint smell, it would be best to keep the bathroom door closed and it would probably take 24 hours before the bath tub could be used. The tub looks new results were what I was looking for.

I was given pricing over the phone with dimensions I provided and the color choices from the company's website. I had a large bathroom countertop and a tub surround that was swirly pink and white cultured marble put in by the previous owners and another large countertop in the guest bathroom that had yellowed over time and always looked stained. Both counters were just outside of standard measurements, so I would have to order something custom-made as a replacement. When I saw the Big Deal offer for this company, I thought I'd try it. The results were fabulous; I wish I had done it sooner and not lived so many years with the ugly counters! I wanted just plain white for the pink tub and vanity, but since the other counter was in our guest bathroom, I went with the stone look product to dress that up a bit more. The stone coating is an upgrade and I paid an additional $50 for the that counter, but it was well worth it. The technician, Cory, came over and prepped all the surrounding areas by taping plastic on the walls and door frame. You can leave your hardware on and they will tape over it, but I chose to remove it the night before to get the product completely on all areas and frankly, was worried it might get on the faucets and I'd have to replace those, too. That was a needless worry when I saw how carefully Cory was protecting all the other surfaces. It took him one entire day to do all three areas and yes, it stinks. I kept the windows open and doors closed on those two rooms and had fans blowing so that helped some. The first two days there was a pretty strong chemical smell in the house, the third day not so bad and then I didn't notice it after that. The white coating has a bit of a glossy finish to it and is very smooth, but I noticed some slight bumps that looked like air bubbles from the "paint." The stone coating has a more matte finish and is textured. Cory had said I should wait a couple of days to see if the bubbles diminished and if they didn't, I could call for a follow up sand and smooth appointment. They were still bumpy so I called and he came back out the following week. I showed him my areas of concern and he smoothed them out and buffed out the shine. It looked like I had put in completely new surfaces instead of just a coating. There were no chips or gouges in these surfaces so I cannot attest to how the coating would work on damaged areas. Also, I cannot tell you about their longevity, but there is a 5-year guarantee for the durability and cleaning has been a breeze. I had two new bathrooms in one day! I would also like to comment on the professionalism Cory demonstrated. He answered all my questions and explained the process clearly in a calm and respectful demeanor and addressed my concerns regarding the chemicals and my children. I really appreciated that.

My tile was previously green. After their work, it became a beautiful, clean white color. Instead of putting in new tile this was a great option. They put this substance on there that makes it waterproof and it really looks great. They also referred me to someone who could fix some broken tiles and that worked great as well.

It went fine but first shower door was wrong size and then 2nd door was broke so it was a long time without our master shower. The contractor was very sorry for issues and reduced the price to help offset. He was very professional and kept me up-to-date on status of door(s). I think the resurfacing part of this business is good but hasn't quite mastered the shower door installation piece.

They were brilliant. They were timely and the crew was polite. They cleaned up after themselves and I would certainly recommend them.

I found them on Angie's List and the work was really good. We did not really get too many estimates so their pricing seemed a little high but the work was done well. I don't have any complaints about their work but I can't say if the price was high or not, but it seemed high.

They did a great job. They explained the process at each step. Everything was on schedule and went as planned. The cleaning process that they did was extremely thorough, and I would say probably was responsible for the worst part of the odor aspect of the job, But the weather was good, and with the fans they brought, as well as the ceiling fans and the ability to open the windows, it dissipated very quickly. The bathrooms look so nice with the new finished -- a huge improvement.

They were great. They came right away and the meeting was easy to set up. They bought a couple of people; so far so good. They were good to talk to as well.

Miracle Method came and measured for the shower door. We scheduled a mutually agreeable installation date. The new refinished surface needed at least 4 hours to dry, but they managed to refinish the shower and install the new door in one day. The filler pieces for the door didn't fit, so they weren't able to install those initially, but the installers were great about cleaning up after themselves. They later came back and installed the door fillers in about 15 minutes. Overall - pretty painless, and my shower looks soooo much better.

Their worker was polite, on time, efficient and did a terrific job cleaning up the bathroom area when he completed his work. I am definitely having them back in the future to redo my bathroom counter and sinks and would definitely recommend them. Everyone in the office was a delight to work with and answered my e-mails promptly with the information I needed.

Excellent response from company. Accepted their estimate and work began the following week. Estimated time to complete was 4 hours and was accurate almost to the minute. Color match was perfect, very respectful and communicative worker, couldn't have gone smoother. Will certainly recommend Miracle Method to anyone needing similar service.

The Miracle Method employees arrived on time and started work immediately. They taped off the sink, cabinets, washer & dryer, backsplash wallpaper, and door frame. They removed the door itself and covered the tile floor. Using their Miracle Method products, they prepared the existing Formica countertops, sprayed on the new surface coat, and then sprayed on the finish coat. They then put the laundry room back in order by removing all the protective tape, plastic, and paper. They picked up their drop cloths and re-installed the door to the laundry room. When the Miracle Method employees left our home, we were very satisfied with the job. Over the next two days, as the product(s) dried, we became less than enthralled. The finish coat had dried to the texture of a plaster wall - very rough and grainy. When I called Miracle Method to complain, they immediately recognized the symptoms about which I was complaining and scheduled a team to come out and repair the surface coat. Within a week the same two young men returned to out home, sanded down the finish coat, and reapplied it. While we are now satisfied with our "new" countertops, it turned out to be far more of a hassle than we expected. We would not recommend contracting for this work in vey cold or extremely hot weather. It needs to be done when all the windows and doors of the home can be left open during the application of the Miracle Method product(s) and for 8-10 hours thereafter. The fumes given off by the these product(s) during their application and drying are extraordinarily strong.

The team arrived exactly at the agreed to time and preformed the job in a very professional manner. They were excellent to deal with and did an outstanding job.
