Miracle Method

Please stay away!!! Left my sink unusable. I hate giving bad reviews but MM ruined my kitchen sink, then disappeared. It looked amazing when he finished but then the nightmare started. They have sleek marketing, cute branded van, and great convincing sales people but the guy who came to my house RUINED my sink. I was told it was because they used a "different polymer" (what???) as to why it looked like trash and everything was sticking to it. Actually still sticking to THIS day, my sink is in terrible shape. Also broken was my kitchen faucet and sprayer underneath. They did come out and explain to me about the polymer and try to fix the faucet, but never came back to refinish the actual sink. Lesson Learned: Do your homework/read and trust the reviews. After this incident, I found out this is par for the course and there are many shoddy jobs with Miracle Method and quality is hit or miss with them. Just google *Miracle Method complaints*. I couldn't believe it. There are plenty of reputable companies who want and care about your renovations in the Saint Louis area, this isn't one. Save your money.

I am delighted with how things turned out. The work on the tub itself was superb, it literally looks brand new. The new shower door is great too. Bob worked with me to make sure that all of the little details were done right, and I was very happy to do business with him. He was patient and easy to work with. Highly recommended!

While we decided to go with another provider that could provide a service MM (and other companies we spoke with) could not, Miracle Method provided prompt and courteous service, a competitive bid, and great follow up!

We had a yellow cultured marble roman tub, which had a large step (which was dangerous) to enter the tub. We removed the step, made a wood side panel for the tub, retiled the floor area where the step had been, installed marble around the top of the tub, and then had Miracle Method spray the interior of the tub to make it white. Bob came to bid the job and provided very complete prices for the different options we were considering. Very professional and a wealth of information. Cory was our technician. He was excellent, fast, on time and meticulous. He explained everything, and was excellent at protecting the surroundings. We are so very pleased with the result. He is a gem! Thanks to everyone at Miracle Method!

I had the job done by a different company. My problem with Miracle Method is that they keep calling me to "follow up" on their estimate. The job was completed several months ago, and every time they call I tell them this.

As part of a makeover to refresh my 1930s bathroom, I engaged Miracle Method to refinish the tub which had an ugly rust stain under the faucet from a persistent drip. I decided to have them refinish the wall tile as well. The entire experience was very positive from estimate to scheduling through work and follow up. I have nothing but praise for the people who completed the work and the office staff who coordinated the scheduling. Everyone was friendly, professional and responsive. The cost may be a bit higher than other vendors, but you get what you pay for and the result is beautiful -- exactly as I anticipated. I am very pleased with their work and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Came out quickly and did a good job stripping the old coating and then re-glazing the bathtub. Cleaned up nicely. The deal was somewhat difficult to judge before contacting the provider because you don't know what the re-glazing will actually cost. It would be better to just offer a fixed price per tub.

It was an awful experience. They spilled paint thinner on my floor and part of my wall, and there is a permanent stain on the floor despite the company's attempt to remove it. We also had to make repairs to the wall ourselves. Furthermore, the sealant that they placed on the tub had a chip in it, and the company hasn't followed up with me about fixing this issue. The company did provide me with a discount due to the several issues that occurred during the project.

The service took two days. The technician was professional, courteous, and neat. I was so surprised how good my counters look now. Totally worth it!!

The were courteous and professional. They also were able to save us money and gave us options on the type of work we wanted done. The airbrush color match on the patch is fantastic! I highly recommend them!

Simply amazing! From the estimate to the completion of the job, this company was top notch. I needed a more cost effective solution than replacing a tub and all the tiles. This was it and I could not be happier. The end result was better than I imagined. Pete, my technician was prompt, very courteous and meticulous about his work. He kept me updated all along they way and provided clear directions for after care. Now that my tub and tiles are done, my floor is looking a little sad and neglected. I'll be calling Pete and Miracle Method soon to fix that problem :-) Great company and I highly recommend them.

The service went well, they could have cleaned up better. Bottom line: I would happily hire them again.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They came out within a week of when I purchased it. I paid additional fees. They were right on time. I called the company as a different person and they quoted me the same price as the deal so I believe they are jacking up the price on the big deals.

Very well! These guys are very oprofessional and the product is really high quality. The projects: 1) Tile resurfaced (tub/shower surround and floors). While the product looked good and the optuions were numerous, the price was prohibitive. The cost of resurfacing is not cheaper than getting allnew tile. When I compared the cost of Miracle Method to getting the existing tile torn out, resurfacing the drywall, purchasing tile and grout, and having it all installed professionally, the Miracle Method was still several hundred dollars higher than the cost of tile removal-prep-puchase-installation (about 10%) higher. It just was not worth the extra money to end up with something that would not look as good (or as authentic) as actual porcelain tile. Still, I was impressed witth the prioduct and their process...and there their method is likely a lot less messy. I might have actually followed through if there was a substantial savings. So, i will just pay the money to have the tile torn out and replaced. 2) Bathtub refininsh: Wow! The tub looks amazing! In all honesty, I did not comparsion shop this with other service providers. But with an Angie's List coupon, I felt it was worth the money. The technician was very prompt, professional, courteous, and diligent. GHe explained eveything to me before he started, and as he progressed. He spent some time prepping the tub for the final acrylic coats, thoroughly cleaning and sanding. Then he filled in any chips before he re-coated. Finally, he added a non-slip surface in the same sahpe as the uniquely shaped tub. Fantastic! I don't know how the product will wear over time, but he assured me I should get 10-15 years, with normal usage. I'm a happy customer!

The technician did a great job. When I called in a plumber to install the overflow plate, he said that he could not use it. He took out the bathtub plunger piece installed by Miracle Method and installed his own plunger and overflow plate. So, I paid Miracle Method an additional $70 or so for nothing.

Service provider was late in responding to our big deal purchase and was unprofessional once contact was finally achieved. Also the price that they finally quoted for the work seemed exorbitant. We recently purchased two Big Deal tub refinishes from another company for $249.00 ($100 off of $349 regular price) each. They were done extremely well and the service provider was prompt and professional. This Big Deal was supposed to discount $300 worth of tub refinishing by $151 (we paid $149 for $300 worth of work). They took forever to contact us. Employees passed the buck when we asked for a price for the work. When we finally heard back from them, they told us that after the $151 discount we would still need to pay $300 for the tub refinishing. So they were essentially charging us $450.00 for work that we would have paid $350 for full price with the other company that we had hired for refinishing last month. Remember that last month's price was discounted so we actually paid $250. Miracle Method is essentially saying that the full price cost of tub refinishing through them is $600. $600 vs $350 in the same market? This seems like price gouging. They upped the price so that they could make up the difference for the coupon that they sold and they're also just plain greedy. A lack of professionalism, dishonesty, and chicanery is all anyone who does business with this company can hope to expect in my view. *** *** UPDATE *** Our property in Carbondale has nothing to do with Miracle Method. We never mentioned it to them so I'm not sure why it even debuted in this desperate, fevered response. We own several rentals in the St. Louis area. We needed to have a tub refinished in one of them. There was no secret about it. In fact we kept asking about it. We are familiar with the Big Deal process; it is pretty simple and we've used it before. Insulting our intellect and our characters doesn't really make your company look any better and honestly I am not surprised. We purchased the coupon from Miracle Method (which, by the way, did cost more than a dime). We received their email but their business has a phone number listed so we called it. We had difficulty getting a hold of anyone. In our experience businesses that cannot consistently be reached by phone are sketchy at best. When we finally heard from someone, they kept passing the responsibility for pricing a tub refinish to the next person. This definitely did not instill confidence. You know, I personally wish that someone at this company had taken as much time and care to address us when we purchased the Big Deal and first approached them as they have in fashioning this response to our complaint. Miracle Method is free to charge whatever the want for their services because this is a free country and it isn't against the law. We didn't expect the work to only cost $300 but we didn't expect it to be double what we had just paid for excellent work from a competitor in the same market. To charge double what competitors charge but to provide a coupon which still lands the customers 40-50% above a competitor's non-sale price is disingenuous (hence, the price gouging). I think that the tone of the company's response speaks volumes about the quality of service and work that this business provides. It is littered with straw-man arguments, fabrications, and irrelevant details. We write because it is our opinion that this a sketchy and unscrupulous operation and we want to do our best to ensure that other consumers who access Angie's List are aware for their own protection. You're better safe than sorry, but the decision is ultimately up to you. As consumers, we are free to look for business elsewhere. I would urge you to do so. If only to find a service provider who would treat you and your time more respectfully. Best

Their ad made it sound like the full cost was $300, and I was paying $150 for that. Once I talked to them at length, I found out that the full price was $600, a lot more than other providers. The wording of the coupon seemed inaccurate, to say the least.

Excellent! Professional and efficient. The technician arrived on time and completed the refinishing on time. Because we wanted a two toned color, it was a two day job. He cleaned up after himself. The end result was superb! No more cracked, gross tile and tub. It looks brand new!

I was skeptical of the rave reviews but they are true. The very polite young men chemically stripped off the messed up finish from our failed attempt to do it ourselves. That took almost 1/2 a day. Then they put on the new finish. No point in putting up another picture of another bathroom done in "Kohler White" (matches the toilet) but believe me, its dazzling. Caution: do not schedule this job too close to some big shindig (like Thanksgiving!). They said it would take one day, but we didn't count on the crew having to make a return visit to buff out some areas where dust had settled on the finish and made it really rough (not desirable in a tub). They were nice enough to squeeze that return trip in right away so our bathroom is indeed company-ready. The final product really does look AND FEEL like brand new. Can't believe it. Great job! Redid shower tile and repainted tub

I purchased a big deal from Angie's List and their services turned out very well. They did a very good job. I had to pay a lot more than the big deal purchase, but I think I got a better deal because I had bought the coupon on Angie's List. Regarding price, I would say they were pretty expensive.
