I had an emergency, had to have my dining room painted the day before I moved out. Kevin dropped everything and came to the rescue. He had painted two bedrooms in my new house the day before and I told him my budget was spent, so when he did the emergency job he did not charge me anything.

Kevin and his crew were great. They spent a week. Beyond the painting they corrected prior work done by other contractors. The whole crew was professional the finished work was over our expections. Kevin advertises he treats your home as his own and he does.

The crew that came out to our house was friendly and courteous to us, and each other. They were well furnished with top of the line equipment and they all seemed to work very well together. Every day, until the job was finished, Kevin would spend considerable time working along with his crew and they seemed to actually enjoy having him around. A crew with a good work attitude doing a good job, just the kind of thing a homeowner wants but can rarely expect from a contractor. When Kevin occasionally left the crew on their own, they continued to work just as well as if he were there, but he would still check back periodically throughout the day to make sure progress and quality were meeting our expectations. He was always there at the end of the each day to tidy up his equipment and insure a thorough clean-up of the work site.
Additionally, Kevin replaced / repaired a rotted wood panel in an area of the soffit, replaced a moulding on the side of one of the garage doors, and performed other work not included in the original bid, all without any extra charge for labor or materials.
We liked Kevin and his crew's work quality so much, we contracted him to pressure wash and stain the two story deck on our house and the deck on another property. We look forward to doing more business with Kevin Turner Painting.

Kevin was punctual, courteous, knowledgeable. This job is for a home that I rent out. He even did some extra painting of the shutter and front door that the tenants pressured him to do, and did not charge more. The price was reasonable.

We contacted Kevin Turner via email (from Angie's List) to see if he repaired and waterproofed decks, since he was listed under "painters". He responded immediately that he does do that type of work and that he would come out for an estimate. He was here the next day and the estimate was reasonable for the repair work, power wash and waterproof stain of our deck. Kevin Turner Painting came out within a few days to power wash. They spent at least 4 hours on this and then began the repair work. After the deck was completely dry (just a few days), they painted on the waterproof stain. Kevin and his associates were extremely friendly, professional and the entire project was completed within about a week from the estimate. They were very thorough, and our deck looks great!! I would highly recommend this company!

I once painted my house because I thought no one could or would do better than I. Kevin Turner Painting proved me wrong. When I need another exterior painting, I won't even consider any other company. It was a great value!

The team that came out to our house was efficient and thorough. They introduced themselves upon arrival and were friendly each time they encountered me or my family. Kevin was on site every day for at least part of the day, usually working alongside his team and always making sure the work was done according to the agreed upon standards.
Kevin returned phone calls quickly and was responsive to requests from me. He was very thorough, following up after the job was done to make sure that everything was completed as expected. I found a couple of minor things that had been overlooked, and someone came out the next day to fix those items. When Spring came, the windows stuck shut a bit because of the humidity and Kevin was on his way to come and fix the problem when I got them open on my own.
My only complaint would be that some of the painters smoke while they are working. This bothered me initially, but they were pretty good about smoking away from the house as they work and there was never really a problem with it. The crew cleaned up thoroughly each day, keeping my yard safe for my family and my dog, and they did an excellent clean-up when the job was done.
The house looked great and Kevin and his team are great to work with. I would definitely recommend them to others!

Working with Kevin was excellent from start to finish. We called earlier in the year while we were getting estimates from a number of different companies. Kevin came the next day and spent a lot of time looking around the house and talking about the work that needed to be done. We immediately felt a level of trust with Kevin. His estimate wasn't the most detailed of the ones we received, but he felt that they wouldn't know for sure what needed to be done until after the powerwashing was done. While that made me a little nervous, we trusted Kevin and the great reviews enough to go ahead with the job after comparing the bid with others we received.
Luckily, Kevin and company had an opening soon after we called, so we were able to get to work within a few days. They crew powerwashed on day one, then really got started after that. They did a LOT of prep work, which was great. Kevin did the majority of the wood work himself, including rebuilding some soffit areas, a few window sills, an exterior doorway., and some exterior paneling repairs. I'm ~so~ much more at ease about the house being "weatherproof" now that work has been done.
The painting went great - they went above and beyond my expectations. They were very particular about making sure what we wanted painted in which colors, did a fantastic job all the way around, and we couldn't be more pleased. They cleaned up around the site every day, and were very friendly with the various pets that roam our neighborhood.
I'll also mention that we threw Kevin a few curveballs. We had our front awnings painted with a metallic copper paint, which was a bit of an unknown area for us all. Kevin was great about picking up the paint (special trip), talking with the supplier about application, and dealing with our paranoia about the whole thing! Now that we've have some time to live with it, we're going to have Kevin come back and also paint our guttering copper as well.
Overall, an outstanding experience - we love it, our neighbors are very complimentary, and we have a real piece of mind about a job well done.

A year later and the house still looks fantastic! We haven't had any need to call Kevin for any kind of touchups, although he said to do so any time. Thanks again, Kevin and Crew!

Kevin Turner was excellent to work with from the beginning. I called on a Tuesday for an estimate and he came out that same day and left me one. I was not home when he looked at the house for the estimate so he called me and we discussed what needed to be done over the phone. I had very specific requests and he follow my instructions exactly. He and his crew were out that following Saturday and painted all day. The next day his crew came back and finished up. I had a surprise waiting for him that next day with a change I had made in my accent color which caused him to have to repaint some trim. He was very pleasant with my changes even though it caused him to be a little late getting to his next job. Their crew was very friendly and they all did a great job.

Excellent from start to finish. Could not be more pleased.
The house was painted a dark blue and we chose lighter colors. There was rotten wood. The house needed exterior care and Kevin Turner and his team took care of all seamlessly. He definitely has years of painting and carpentry experience.

Excellent. Kevin and his crew showed up each time exactly when they said they would. They were very courteous and careful in their work. I requested several extras which Kevin completed cheerfully with good design and at very little extra cost. I am very impressed and will definitely call upon Kevin, Aaron and the rest of the crew to complete the exterior paint job next year.

Just a mistake from the start..I did learn from this experience and he told me...well you got that.
UPDATE 9/7/2012:
As far as flooding my kitchen, they did not clean up as soon as they told about it. I cleaned it up and they told me that I should've told them to clean it up. I didn't do that because they were smoking so much and I didn't want the smell in my house. Also, I gave him 5 reasons that I wanted to talk to him and Iwrote them down, but he didn't write them down at all. He did forget to do the things that he didn't do.
I am the only person who has lived in my house and they told me that the trim matched the soffets before. He told me that if I could prove that the trim did not match, he would fix it. I told him that I don't have photographs of my soffets and he told me that he wasn't going to do anything.
They also broke my screen. I have the receipt to prove that they broke my screen. I'm not overly concerned that the screen was broken, but I was not treated with respect.
One of his employees were vulgar. When I told him about it, he just shrugged it off. I do not believe that I was treated respectfully. All of he would've had to do to please me was to repaint my soffets and fix my outlet covers and I would've been completely satisfied.
The Kansas City Police Department were the ones who recommended that I paint the address. I had a nice color and the Police Department recommended that I paint my home because they would've had a hard time seeing my numbers at night. He didn't recommend that I do this at all. He agreed to do it and didn't do it.
He was also supposed to do some work on the inside of the house. On the day I gave him the check, he asked me if I wanted him to do the inside work. I said that I didn't want him to do the work and that I was no longer interested in using his services. When I asked him about spraying the outlet, he said that he always does that.

"RESPONSIVNESS: I dropped off a bid for the job and she called me 30 minutes later to say that she was home when I looked at her house and that she wanted to meet me and talk with me about the job.By that time I was back on the job I was working on on the other side of town. However I drove right back to her house and met with her to answer all her questions. SEVERAL OTHER REQUESTS The only added request was that I paint her address numbers black so they were more visiable from the street. Sorry to say that this was my idea to do because the numbers were metal and discolored. I did forget to do this because of the ongoing grief I was getting about the trim color aspect of the job.I did offer to do it right then when she mentioned it, but for some reason she acted disgusted and told me she did not want me to do it. FLOODED MY KITCHEN When washing the back porch some water did go into her kitchen because of faulty weatherstripping on the back door. We did wipe it all up as soon as she told us about it. THE SAME COLOR This customers house had a white trim color mostly on the front of the house, but on the two sides and back of the house the trim color was only on the fascia boards and the guttering which we did paint the trim color. The customer was certain that the soffits were also the trim color, but they were not. We always paint the houses back the way they were unless instructed otherwise which we were not. i did look at all the houses in her neighborhood and they were all painted the same as hers was and is now. PUNCTUALITY We paint one house at a time. We start early in the morning and work all day long and late if needed. We bring our lunch so not to waste time leaving the job. PRICE The total price was 5% lower than my original bid after the Angie's List dicount that I give. QUALITY I wish I could put up some pictures of this house in my response because I am very proud of the work we did on the house, it looks brand new! We are very neat, clean, and careful painters. Straight lines, uniform thickness and sheen. Perfection is our goal on every job and this job was no exception. This customer said that we tore a screen on her back porch door that I am sure we did not do BUT I replaced the screen at no charge. I wonder why there was no mention of this in her review? CONCLUSION I love working in my hometown and I always do my best to build an excellent reputation and give my customers what they want. I work very hard at being honest and trustworthy and dependable. I ALWAYS treat my customers and everyone I meet with the UTMOST RESPECT. But every once in a blue moon I have a customer I cannot please no matter what I do or say. I am happy to provide names numbers and addresses of all the houses that I have painted, including this one. KEVIN TURNER"

IMHO, an excellent paint job depends primarily on preparation and extreme attention to detail. Kevin Turner Painting did a superior job! Kevin and crew showed up on time and accomplished the entire job in a timely manner. Kevin (thankfully) helped with selecting the primary and secondary colors. Coordination with the gutter company (All American Gutter) pertaining to gutter removal and replacement (with matching color gutters) went very well. Could not be happier! We give Kevin Turner Painting our highest recommendation "they the best".

Well, I am a single woman in her thirties and was relieved to find a contractor that was straight forward, reliable and honest. Kevin is a very personable and down to Earth guy who truly enjoys what he does. He came over to give me an estimate just a few days after I called. I wanted to be present as I had many questions regarding the carpentry work that needed to be done. It was no problem. He gave me a fair estimate and I committed to have him do the work. I felt very comfortable based on his previous reviews and our exchange that day. His busy schedule meant having to wait about six weeks for the work but no problems there. He was worth the wait. The guys arrived on a Thursday to powerwash and prep and the whole team arrived the next day. They worked like crazy; couldn't believe how much scraping they did. Kevin came and worked on the front door the next day and the whole job was done by the end of the day Monday. Wow. I am so pleased and relieved to have the job done and with such integrity of workmanship. You can really tell that these guys take pride in what they do and doing it well. The guys on his team were just super, very clean, never left a mess, had their radios turned down low so as not to disturb me or the neighbors. They cleaned up really well also, couldn't even tell they were here, except for the amazing work. Literally had two people drive by the house as they were finishing and roll down their windows to tell me how great the house looked, one was a total stranger! Just a great team, great leader and a quality product. I would definitely hire these guys again in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone that asks. One more thing, I am a teacher without a rich husband so Kevin was gracious enough to work with me on some financing. It made it possible for me to get the work done and I really appreciate it. Probably the best guy I have had work on the house since I bought it eight years ago. Stellar. :)

I called Kevin on Tuesday needing a quick job to paint a garage door that had been replaced. He was very friendly and helpful. Kevin came out as soon as the door was installed and fixed it up. The whole job took 4 days to complete. They did a good job working around our garden and plants. At the end of the day, they stacked up their ladders and equipment to get it out of our way. Kevin came back to touch up a couple of spots and to make sure we were happy. His crew did a great job and the house looks terrific! We would recommend Kevin.

Kevin and his crew are professionals at what they do. They finished the job in a few days because they arrived early and worked all day. I can't say enough about the crew and how great they were. They were all wearing white and not one of them had paint on his shirt! They are the neatest painters I have ever known. Very talented people, we were lucky to have found them.

After reading the article in Angies List magazine about Kevin Turner, I was amazed an article about such a profession was so good. It is hard to find someone who has integrity, honesty and quality in the passion of their work. I called Kevin last November for an estimate and he promptly called me back for an on-site estimate. After Kevin pointed out that after six years living there, the builder never painted portions of the trim at all and other areas around the entire house was of very poor quality. Thats why I wanted to take my time and find a painter I knew I could trust and believe in. Kevin told me I was on his schedule for May, 2012. On May 1, Kevin called me to let me know he is mobilizing to choose the right colors and to begin work. His team of about 5 men worked in concert doing an amazing job to prep, seal and prepare all areas prior to painting. Even my neighbors commented to me how detailed they were! It only took two days to complete the project, and what a job! That's how it was suppose to look when I bought it! The detailing is such a masterful job. Kevin is the only painter I'll ever use!!

Kevin and team are very detail oriented and did an excellent job. The paint looks much better now than it did when we first moved in (new construction)!
Great prep work.
We were impressed that they sprayed everything and then immediately followed with a roller.
They swept up everything and left nothing behind except for a satisfied customer with a freshly painted house!
