Kevin Turner Painting

Kevin Turner came out and gave me a bid on painting the exterior of our house, the same day that I called him. We hired him the following week, and he and his crew, began working on our house a few days later. They started at 7:30 a.m. and worked until 3:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, cleaning up the site each day. Kevin was also here each day, working along side his crew. He talked with us and showed us, what they were doing each day, and he was quick to answer our questions and address any concerns we had. He and his crew were friendly and respectful of our family, including our dogs, enabling us to put them out when we needed to. They did a great job on painting the entire exterior of our large 4 bedroom, 1.5 story house, including the gutters and two garage doors. They removed a large amount of rotten wood and installed new pieces, at times stripping it down to the studs and replacing siding as well. They replaced damaged shutters and put up new ones. They painted all of our exterior doors and removed an old, rotting deck with stairs, and built a new staircase down to the patio below. He also left some paint behind, for us to paint a 3rd garage door with, once it's installed. The job took about a week and a half to complete. All in all, we feel it was a very good experience, and we highly recommend Kevin Turner Painting to anyone needing to transform the outside of their house.

Perfect in every respect. I seldom make the effort to do reviews -- but this one is warranted, especially since I used the reviews of others on this site to choose Kevin in the first place.

First, Kevin Turner is a real professional. He knows house painting inside and out. He is a skilled carpenter as well as painter, and when he inspected our house he gave us a lot of great advice about how to repair things in a cost-efficient manner. He also has a fantastic crew. The guys who work for him are courteous, skilled, and experienced. They pay attention to detail and they cleaned up everything up, everyday. They also completed the job in a timely manner and worked around our schedule. Finally, Kevin and his crew did a lot of little things for us that I didn't expect, like painting my storm doors, replacing the shield on an outdoor light, and making a new sign for my house number. In conclusion, I would definitely use Kevin Turner painting again and I highly recommend them to anybody interested in professional work at a very fair price.

Kevin contacted me within 24 hours of my initial request. He came out and gave me an honest estimate within 3 days. When I agreed, within 2 weeks, he and his crew arrived to do the prep work. They power-washed the whole house, repaired various pieces of wood and trim, caulked around all doors and windows. Besides all that, Kevin was willing to do small handman things, like replace shutters, he removed a slotted mail box from the garage wall, repaired the empty hole, then mounted an external mailbox on the house. He is very knowledgeable about the colors of paint, and made good suggestions on trim colors. Kevin and his crew were polite and professional. They were neat and punctual too. I would definitely recommend this company!

Service went very well. Kevin was available throughout the entire process, and provided color recommendations for the house and deck. Crew was very courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. Pricing was very reasonable for services performed.

Went great. They really pay attention to the details. Example - replaced some cedar shake siding that came pre-primed and they still primed it anyway. Prep work was great. Our house was over due for a paint job and had some rough spots that were actually bare and they did such a good job of getting everything primed. They also power washed the entire house as part off their prep. Kevin takes a lot of pride in his work. They keep very busy but I was impressed to find out they only paint one house at a time so Kevin can work on every job. He is right their with the crew working hard every day. Kevin also made some great recommendations about trim color and other details. The house looks great. I would definitely recommend Kevin. Will also mention that they put in full days and took no time off except for weather issues. Kevin and his crew are also very friendly.

The entire process was actually enjoyable. Kevin is a gem and his crew are all very courteous and professional. Miscellaneous repairs were done without question or request for additional funds. No muss, no fuss.

These guys were here for 5 days. They cleaned up & stacked ladders, etc. neatly every day. Kevin promised us we would be first on his list this spring. We thought we would contact him, but, true to his word, he contacted us by March 1, as soon as several days of good weather were in sight. Kevin is really easy to work with & he knew about elastomeric paint. We have a 5-year guarantee from him.

Kevin and his team did great. The house looks nice, they were fast, and very talented. Kevin was able to do carpentry in addition to painting, which allowed him to tear down our covered porch and make other repairs. Not having to bring in another contractor was a huge plus.

Excellent. Highly recommended. Great value. Kevin and his crew (4 others, with whom he works regularly) were punctual, considerate, professional. He did several repairs on damaged shingles, a screen, and a rotten board on the screened porch, which turned out to have a larger rotted board underneath. He did a fine job of seamlessly replacing them both, including having to shave one board down, as they don't make that size board anymore (our house was built in 1942). He did other minor repairs as needed, and when a couple of our shutters were found damaged, he found where I could get replacements (custom was needed), and is painting them at home, before bringing them to install. He was a helpful consultant when I was trying to decide several things, even advising me to not do certain things, as it was not worth the cost. Also quick. They power-washed the week before, then took only 4 days to complete the painting. A pleasure to work with.

First rate job. Professional from beginning to end. The crew was prompt, neat, clean and did more than was expected. The little touches and attention to detail made this experience a pleasure. Removed repainted and reinstalled the wrought iron window box and trim as well as the exterior light fixture. Painted the inside of the door jam as well as underneath the kick plate. Would unhesitatingly recommend them to one and all.

Very good experience. Kevin was responsive to both emails and phone calls. He also came by my house on a Sunday to discuss the job with me. He was able to get a crew over and get the work done quickly. It looks very good and professional.

Kevin Turner was great. He was fast with his work and worked with us on payments. That was really nice. I didn't like much that he left some used paint cans in the home, it didn't seem very professional, but I would recommend him.

I contacted Kevin and left a message requesting a quote to paint my house based on the feedback from Angie's members. Kevin did come by within the week and left a quote for us. Unfortunately I did not know he was coming, was not at home at the time and did not have a chance to meet him. Never the less, out of the 5 quotes I received his was on the high end and I selected another company to paint my house. My rating is meant to be neutral. I have no issues with this company, although I would have preferred to meet with him personally when the quote was made to discuss the details in a face to face meeting.

Kevin was very punctual when he came out for both his estimate and when he came to perform the work. He was very professional and the job was done extremely well. Hard to believe that I was able to work with a painter in the middle of winter who was conscientious enough to watch the weather. The day we were able to have a break in the weather- Kevin was there and completed the work! Very impressed with Kevin and his team. Will definitely use and recommend him to others anytime!!

All areas were cleaned up well when the work was complete and the crew even surprised me by fixing a few other minor things that were not on their list. The house looks new.... and several of the neighbors have even stopped by to compliment the appearance of the house. Kevin was wonderful and I would not hesitate to call him with any paint work I have in the future.

Kevin and his crew power-washed and stained wood shingles on the front of our house, 2 sections of wood privacy fence, and our suspended deck. They did the job while we were out of town, so we were anxious to see how they did. We did find a couple of areas where they had done repairs (new pieces of wood in the privacy fence), and the stain didn't look right. I called Kevin this morning, and he's already been here, and fixed the problem, no additional charge. We are quite happy to recommend this company to anyone needing a friendly, competent, and responsible painter. They have also given us an estimate for the remaining exterior of the house and a couple of bedrooms, so we feel strongly enough about their work to invite them back (as soon as we save enough money to get those jobs done). They are not the cheapest, but their work is worth the money! Call Kevin!

gnKevin Turner was one of the most professional contractors I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I needed to make repairs on a rental property that had been neglected for years. There was severe wood rot, the screen porch was rotted, and needed to be re screened, all light fixtures needed replacing and gutters were falling off and not functioning. Kevin came out the day I called and gave me an estimate via phone. He took the time to explain what he needed to do to get the house back to " new condition". I felt for the amount of work that was required, his price was fair. Was overwhelmed by the amount of work that needed to be done, but Kevin offered to assist by helping to line up contractors he had experience with that could help. Kevin went above and Rhonda by replacing some broken glass window panes. He measured and purchased a couple of new sort on window and he cleaned up and api

Kevin and his crew were very nice and professional. They finished the job in a timely manner and he guarantees his work. He even sent one of his guys back to touch up the deck after they finished. Kevin was very prompt in responding and quoted us a reasonable price and stuck to it. They did a fairly good job of cleaning up and a very good job overall. We will definitely consider Kevin Turner Painting for any other painting needs we may have in the future.

Showed up on time, did the job as promised, painted after the wood was replaced. Could have cleaned up more after the job. Crew left pieces of old siding and strips of caulking in the grass.

He is great. You can always count on him to come out to the job site at least once a day to supervise the crew. It is nice today to find a contractor that does what he says he will do, and always provides quality work. He should go in the Angie's List Hall of Fame!

Fabulous experience. He was not the cheapest of the bids we got, but was so worth it. He and his crew obviously enjoy what they do, and we could hear laughing and joking all during the day, and their happiness shows in every little attention they paid to detail, including answering numerous (and I'm sure bothersome) questions from me while working. On the last day, we asked that they also paint the trim on the back of the house, which is normally not done, and oh, what a difference it made. It was worth the added cost, and there was no grumbling when asked. They know what they're doing, they do it as a unit, and they do it well, and with a smile. The lawn service showed up on the same day to put in a sprinkler system, and the two crews worked around each other with ease, accommodating each other as if they were from the same place of business. The lawn service even told us this morning when they activated the sprinkler, how easy Kevin Turner and his crew were to work around/with. Our house is beautiful and we will definitely have him back to paint the interior. No more bids for us. Just give us Kevin Turner Painting.
