Kevin Turner Painting provided a very detailed estimate to repair extensive wood rot on the exterior of my mother's house and paint the entire exterior. I received two other estimates and he was competitive with the others. I chose Kevin because of his carpentry experience and warm personality. He performed the carpentry work himself as opposed to "subbing it out" as other painters wanted to do. He showed up on time to perform the work and he and his crew were very professional. They did a lot of prep work before they even began to paint and it really showed in the quality of the job. When they left each day they left everything very clean. I would highly recommend them to anyone wanting a quality job.

Kevin was very responsive in coming to give me an estimate and was fine with me providing the paint. On the day the work was to be performed they showed up EXACTLY the time he said they would be here (which was great!!). They came in and got right to work. I was amazed they were able to get ALL of it done in just one day. It was a long day for them but they stayed focused and committed to doing a quality job. I WILL have them come back for more painting jobs in the future.

Would highly recommend Kevin. I submitted a request through Angie's List on Labor Day and that same day Kevin called and came out later that day to give me a quote which I accepted. But most surprising thing was I had Kevin come out to quote me a paint job on the whole house and he told me it didn't it. Don't know of too many that would pass up a full house paint job. I had him work on the front of the house because there was hail damage and our house faces west so it was faded from all the afternoon sun. He called me again in a couple of days to say he could be out the next morning and showed up early. Did a great job.

I contacted Kevin on July 19 and he promptly returned my voicemail. He did a nice job describing the work that they do and answered my questions. He came out to the house on July 21 and left a detailed quote. Over the next couple of weeks we received quotes from several painters. Kevin's quote was the highest, but from talking to him we believed that his price would was worth it for the extra amount of work they put into their jobs. Ultimately we decided to go with another painter, but agreed we would have hired Kevin had the other not been available.

Kevin and his entire crew did a fantastic job on my house. They spent about 2 days preparing the house for painting - it required a lot of scraping, priming, and wood rot repairs. Kevin did an excellent job in repairing extremely bad wood rot on some doors and window sills, and also replacing wood shingles. He pointed out areas needing repair that many painters would have covered up. He helped me with color selection and other issues that came up during the painting process. All of his employees are very friendly and as conscientious about their work as Kevin is. They all worked consistently through the day and had the job completed in a timely manner. I'm very happy with the new look of my house and would recommend Kevin Turner Painting to anyone.

After reading several Angie's List reviews, I submitted an email to Kevin Turner Painting, in addition to a few other companies that had received good comments from previous customers. Kevin was very prompt in calling me back and offering to come out to submit a bid. He arrived on time and his bid was very reasonable. We scheduled to have the work done some time toward the end of April. Then "The Hail Storm" hit ... my roof was totaled and I contacted Kevin and asked if we could push my date back until after the roof was installed. Kevin was more than accommodating and was good about communicating with me to find out when we could start. Two months later, Kevin was finally able to start on the house this week. After 3 days in extreme heat, I could not be more pleased. Kevin and his team were professional, prompt, neat and cleaned up each day before leaving. Kevin was on-site each day. Kevin and his team went above and beyond and were great about correcting some of the problems still left from the previous paint job 8 years ago. After having a lot of work done to our home by various companies and contractors, I can honestly say that Kevin Turner Painting was a "diamond in the rough" - an absolute delight to do business with and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a quality paint job done for a reasonable price. Even my 16 year old son was impressed, and that's not easy;-) I'm extremely happy with Kevin and his team and would definitely hire them again.

Very professional, did exactly as written in proposal. Excellent workmanship, & quality. Couldn't fine anyone better to paint our house. Cleaned up when done and done when said. Kevin is very honest and does fantastic work as well as reasonable. Great Value !

Kevin and his crew did an awesome job painting my home. Kevin has a good sense of color and was able to help me make a choice. Even though I had an idea of what I wanted, a color swatch doesn't give a sense of how the color will appear on a house. I was very particular about the house color and the door/shutter color. There wasn't a swatch for the door color that was exactly what I wanted, but Kevin had the patience to make sure I got what I wanted. Color and appearance are extremely important to me, but good workmanship is as important. His crew worked consistently for two days, and Kevin was there a good part of every day as well. I would, without a doubt, hire them again. Considering the extra things that were done, and that they were willing to go the "extra mile", I felt the cost was reasonable.

We are extremely happy with the entire experience. Kevin came out to give us an estimate and patiently answered all of our questions. He made some recommendations about things we might want to do in conjunction with painting that we hadn't thought about before (e.g. replacing our worn shutters). He let us know a couple of days in advance when he would be here to paint our home, so we could make plans. Kevin and his team arrived on time and went over the list of all the work to be done that we had previously agreed upon. After that, they went right to work. They were very professional and took the time to attend to the details that make all the difference when doing a job well. They cleaned up at the end of the day and we are thrilled with the results. We highly recommend them and would definitely call them again!

They did an excellent job. They started on Monday and finished late on Friday. They worked the whole time and were very devoted to finishing the job. I had a lot of rotted wood to be replaced. They did a beautiful job and I'm very very pleased. The owner, Kevin Turner, was working with them for the whole time. He also helped me on the color of the home. He offered to get a quart to test out on the house for the one I picked. I didn't like it once it was on the house. Then we got three more quarts and I picked one that I liked. It looks great and I appreciate him doing that with me. All of his crew people were professional and courteous.

Kevin Turner has an outstanding company. He answered our call on the first try and came by the house for an estimate within 48 hours. Kevin power washed the house on a weekend and then started the job on Monday morning at 8:00 am. His entire crew was on site that morning at 8:00 am as he said and began work. Everyone was very professional and very friendly. There was a strong attention to detail on all phases of the painting job from the chimney to the windows. Kevin replaced all of the new exterior light fixtures that we purchased. They made sure we were statisfied with the entire job including all window operations. They replaced all yard equipment moved for the painting and sliding screens.. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for any exterior painting needed.

Overall Kevin and his team could not have been more complete. professional, or pleasant. Kevin saw things I did not and went ahead and fixed them. They were on time and did a good job cleaning up after themselves

They were painting the house down the street so I stopped and asked him to come by to give us an estimate. When I pulled up in the driveway he was right behind me and did the estimate right there. He did a complete walk around the house and then we talked about it and then we walked around the house together. He took the time to explain what his company would be able to do. We are probably going to use him.

We contacted Kevin Turner in early September for an estimate on painting the exterior of our house. He was very prompt in coming by for the estimate, answered all of our questions and was very professional. We contacted several other companies to also get quotes, and then took some time to research each one. We used Angie's List, and found that Kevin was recommended highly there. But I also called the Sherwin Williams paint store nearest to Kevin's business and ask for 3 independent painters that they would use if having their own houses painted. Kevin was one of the three. We liked the idea of having the business owner on site while the work was being done. We also wanted to know that the "2-coat" method was truly 2 coats of paint and were assured that was the case. Kevin was not the lowest bid, but all 3 bids came in within $300 of each other. Around October 6th, we decided to use Kevin's services. He was able to schedule the work to begin on November 1st. On October 30th, he called to ask if he could come by and deliver the ladders and perhaps go ahead and begin the power washing. We agreed and were surprised when an entire crew showed up at our house, neatly stacked all of the equipment next to the house and began the power washing process and completed the work within a few hours. They were all friendly, efficient and worked together as a team to get the work done. When painting started, they were punctual and again very professional. They covered all of the windows and other areas with brown paper to keep them clean. They caulked and did a very good job of making sure that all areas were prepped well. They cleaned up after themselves each day and were completely finished painting within 3 days. My husband checked over everything and found a couple of minor spots that he felt needed some additional touch up. Kevin went around the house with him and cheerfully touched up those areas. The day after painting was finished; we noticed a small place at the very top of the house near the chimney (we literally used binoculars to look) that seemed to need some touch up. It was only visible when the sun shone on it at just the right angle, so it was not a surprise that it wasn't noticed by the paint crew earlier that day. We called Kevin and he came by immediately and took care of it. We are very happy with the way the house looks. Kevin's crew managed to do a high quality job, on time, within the agreed price and even took care of a few other small issues while they were there. They were friendly, clean and hard-working. I recommend him without reservation. The house looks great, with nice sharp lines around the trim and just a beautiful new look to the whole house. UPDATE: 3/8/13 - Over two years later, our painted house still looks great - everything is holding up nicely. We believe this to be due to the quality of the painting method and the prep work done before the job was started. We take walks in our neighborhood and have noted many houses that were painted around the same time or after where the paint is already showing thin places and streaks. We have had no such problems. We will definitely recommend and use Kevin Turner Painting again.

Since we have a historic home, we have lots of service providers to keep the home in shape. Kevin's painting service is top on our list of all the providers! From the first time we used him, he was polite and timely in returning our calls, gave timelines for the estimate, scheduling, work and completion. He sticked with his schedules, and kept us informed about the plans and progress. He answered ALL our questions, gave us advice about what type of paints would work for each surface and checked in with us on all decisions. He remembered me and my home when I called back for more work; this has happened across more than 10 years. He and his crew demonstrated pride in contributing to the excellence of our home. He held a high standard for the care of our home. They move everything out of the way, and protect all the objects and surfaces, even our garden. Each and every day he worked at our home, they cleaned up their work completely before leaving. They also repaired everything they found that was not in perfect order as they went, so our home was better when they left it. For example, they fixed our Victorian trim, faces under the roof, replaced guttering and even replaced shingles that didnt look 'just right' when they finished, all as part of the bid. [no small feat to find matching shingles for a 100+year old house!]. This last time, they even powerwashed our deck since some of the paint chips fell on it during the preparation process [without an extra charge]. They taped and covered EVERYTHING to protect our things, and with the amount of trim in a home like ours, that is a big job. They left us with a list of the numbers, and left over paint, so we would have a record of what colors and finishes are in all our spaces. Kevin's crew is friendly, polite, and seem to be happy to work with Kevin; they have longevity with him, we saw some of the same workers at subsequent visits. They all wear the traditional 'whites' when they work; Kevin said that this is a way to demonstrate they are a professional crew; it was nice to see. Our painting has held up very nicely as well. Our interior looks like they just painted it and it has been nearly a decade since they did that part of our work. You will not be able to find a better painter and crew anywhere. It was an extremely pleasant experience and done in a very timely manner. He was very professional and affordable. He was organized and very clean. It was obvious that they were specialized painters. They were flexible and helped us in making the best decisions for the project. Their price was great & right on track with their bid, not to mention they were friendly and fun.
