Bill came to my home and listened to what I wanted to do and why. Within a few days he e-mailed me a drawing and bid. When I called him with questions he was very willing to return to my home to discuss the plans. I thought I might want to space the bushes a little differently, and I appreciated Bill's willingness to tell me why he designed it the way he did, and why he thought it would look better. He was more than willing to do it my way, but he's the designer and I listened to his advice and I'm glad I did. The day the planting was done he called to say they would be about 30 minutes late, which is always nice to know. Workmen did the actual planting, but Bill was there part of the time to set the plants in place and make sure everthing was set up the way he wanted. I am very happy with the work they did and expect to use them again.

They did an excellent job. Delivered them dug the hole, watered them, and set me up with how to care for them.. They even took away the extra dirt....

Had a free consult and estimate. This company seemed more "professional" (Karl) than the others who gave me bids. Landscaper provided his cell so that I was able to contact if needed...only needed once since we were rained out one time. Provided services on the exact day and to perfection. Over a month later the plants are still doing well. Warranty was excellent also.Would easily use again.

I replaced a large tree that died over the winter. I shopped at Sherwood Forest because I had been there before and had seen their ads on TV. I know they had big trees. They were on Angies list too. I shopped with Jim Van Valkenburg, an arborist. I explained my situation and he showed me a variety of possible trees to use as a replacement. In the end I selected a hybrid red maple which would do well with my landscape plan. I asked for a few days to think about it and bought the tree April 15, 2011. Jim Indicated they were behind a couple of weeks in plantings and said Sherwood would call a couple of days ahead of planting. Sherwood's called 5/3 to warn me, they arrived early 5/5 and dug the hole, hoisted the 1 ton tree from the truck, aligned it straight up, back filled and mulched the tree. They also staked the tree because of the location, a steep hill and the heavy rain we have been having this spring. The foreman observed a maple I had planted thee weeks earlier was leaning. Suggested it was from the heavy rain and wind. Asked if I needed a hand righting the tree, I said yes and they righted the tree with 1 stake. They suggested I put 2 additional stakes in for complete support. I was thankful for the spotting of the leaning tree and the help and advice to right it. Thanks crew!!!

They are a very good nursery. They have excellent plant and tree stock. The people that you ask questions of are very knowledgeable unlike some places where they just hire people to work even though they don’t know anything about botany or horticulture. My experience with them has been extremely positive. They are high priced but good quality stock can cost a lot.

I've used them in the past. They gave me a good price for the fact that it was 18 degrees outside. The work that they have done for me in the past was around $8000. This was just the touch up, but they've done a significant amount of work here. They did a real good job. I intend to use them in the future too.

I was extremely pleased. Karl was very easy to work with, and I was very impressed with the computerized drawings he did for the proposal. (He was the only one who gave me actual drawings- one company just gave a verbal description, and another offered to make the drawings for $400 before I could decide if I liked the proposal.) He also showed me all the plants at the nursery that he was suggesting so that I could decide if I liked them. The final installation was great; the workmen worked very diligently, and completed the work in one day. I could not believe the difference in the way the front of my house looked.

Very professional. Helpful about best plantings. Gave good advice. Helped load up vehicle so would be easiest to remove and cause least amount of dirt spilled in vehicle.

I hired Sherwood to improve the exterior look of my late mother's house prior to putting it on the market. The neater look of the property front and back helped make for a quick sale.

The area was in some rough terrain, they did a very nice job.

Overall, it was very good. They drew-up plans, and then came and did all of the installation and planting. Everything looks really good!

I heard about them from a friend of mine. They took two hours to complete all the work. My experience with them was outstanding except for the fact that they dug into our gas line. One of them replaced it for us and it turned out to be alright.

It was great. We were very pleased. The person that I had contact with came out and did a garden plan. I met with him at the garden center and we picked out the exact types of plants that I wanted. They came exactly when they were supposed to. It was very straight forward everything went according to plan.

They redid the swill and built and installed small wall. He did a great job. He is very honest and straightforward. He listened to my ideas and offered alternatives when the ideas came to be not so practical. I would recommend his service to any one for Landscaping and Hardscaping needs.

Sherwood's Forest did a good job and I would recommend them. The price was decent for the large trees that they planted. They worked hard and quickly. They also explained the process and we are pleased with them. We like the trees and would not change anything about their work.

Karl Thompson was receptive to input and listened to our needs and ideas. We scheduled the work to start on a specific date and it did it in spite of 100 degree weather. The work was done quickly and when we requested a modification, it was done by the next day. The workers were at our home early and started right in. Pricing was reasonable for what we had done - neither the lowest or highest bid we received. We received many compliments from neighbors on the work. We did not have any plantings done, only hardscape. The only difficulty was reaching Karl at times since he is out and about. Email works great.

It was a wonderful experience. The landscape design was beautiful. They came to our house to view the property and then we went to their office to view the drawings and look at their current inventory. They performed the work when we were told they would and did it efficiently. I love pulling into my driveway and looking at the end result. While I do think we may have been able to get the landscaping done cheaper, I was willing to pay for the excellent design, service and 2 year guarantee.

I EMAILED THE COMPANY TELLING THEM I JUST MOVED TO A PLACE WHERE THEY HAD DONE LANDSCAPING. I WANTED TO KNOW IF THERE WAS ANY WAY TO GET A LIST OF ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPE PLANTS SO THAT I'D KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF THEM. DAVE SHERWOOD IMMEDIATELY RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST WITH DETAILED INVOICES. HE DIDN'T EARN A PENNY FOR IT, BUT HE SURE EARNED MY RESPECT.

HAVE BOUGHT MANY TREES AND SHRUBS FROM SHERWOOD'S OVER THE YEARS. NURSERY STOCK IS FIRST CLASS. THEY DO A GOOD JOB OF PLANTING.
