In the past I have been extremely reluctant to have anyone clean air ducts because I've read about what a rip-off it can be. However, I own a 1500-square foot condominium that probably hadn't ever had the ducts cleaned and it smelled very stale. Uri and his colleague Marquis were there for nearly five hours and provided outstanding service. They did an incredibly thorough job. The house smelled fresher and cleaner almost immediately. Uri also noticed that the dryer was crammed with lint so he cleaned that and installed a new elbow piece for the dryer vent. He discovered a disconnected duct and repaired that as well, and even checked in the attic to see what the insulation situation was like because he noticed that the ducts were very hot. He had several excellent and low-cost suggestions for repairs/upgrades. Everything about their work was topnotch. I do not have money to burn and had been very worried about this investment - now I know that I got tremendous value for it and it was worth every penny. Pym deserves its top rating, no question about it. If you want someone who truly cares about the service he provides, go with Pym.

I called him because of the reviews on Angies list and I was very happy I did. We had a semi emergency with a dead bird in our vent and the smell was real bad. He worked us in his schedule and arrived late in the day, as promised. He found the problem, took care of it and really helped us out. We are very happy with everything he did.

I was extremely pleased with their work. They were very thorough in explaining what they do. They made sure they kept everything clean in my house with carpet covers. They worked fairly quick. They gave me advice about how to keep the air system and furnace clean. I have no dislikes. I give them all A's across the board.

When they arrived, I showed them all the vents in the house, cold air exchange and the furnace. I just purchased my house (rehab) and assumed the ducts had never been cleaned. I think I was right based on what I was shown. Yuri walked me through the process and kept me informed. In addition, Yuri showed me the work that was done (in person and via photos). They were efficient and professional. I'm so glad I had the work done because there's no telling what would have been circulating in the air through my home. I'm breathing easier knowing they professionally cleaned and sanitized my air vents. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends.

They were very professional and respectful of the property. They laid down mats to protect all walls and floors. They wore boot covers as well. The duct cleaning lasted roughly 4 hours. Great work. I have already recommended them to family and friends

Yuri and assistant arrived promptly. They were professional, showed me one of the vents before cleaning AND pointed out in the basement that our master bedroom cold air return was not even connected. There was a hole in the basement venting that should have been connected, properly distributing air to the furnace,etc. Yuri found this when they could not get suction to clean the vent .This explains why our upstairs master suite has difficulty cooling and heating. We had a new furnace in 2008 by a major area company that should have checked these problems out. very disappointed with this company, but that is another story. there were also two vents in the dining room visable from the basement again that did not have proper connection.We were completely satisfied with Yuri's service.

We have 2 furnaces and a large space. They cleaned EVERYTHING and then cleaned up after themselves. They showed me where they were in the process along the way and identified things of concern.Very honest and very professional.I have already recommended them to 3 of my friends, I hope they take advantage..

Yuriy is the best! They put down drop cloths and corner guards to protect the floors and walls, and even wear paper covers over their shoes. We are so happy with the results (fresh smelling air!) that we hired them to do the same things for our parents. I have recommended PYM several times, and will use them again without hesitation.

Let's just make this simple. If you need your ducts cleaned, call Yuri. Everything you read on here is true. I wish they had company's like his in every category. He called right at 8 when he was supposed to arrive and let me know he was running a few minutes behind. He got there at 8:30 and started working. We have dual zone with a system in the basement and one in the attic. My house was built in 1946 and the basement system's original duct work had a lot of plaster debris and sand in it. Yuri was simply relentless and worked until the job was done. It's 8:30 PM now and he just left. 12 hours of hard work. The guy is just class. After working the full day he took the time to take me through a handful of minor issues that needed attention and would help make the furnace more efficient. He discovered some mold around the upper system that he showed me and we will have him out next week to take care of that. After rehabbing several houses over the years and working with contractors that showed up late, if at all, and didn't always do good work, I can't properly articulate how refreshing it is to work with a guy like this. Yuri is amazing. I called him at 12 noon and he was at our residence in an hour. He was here for about 2 hours and completely solved our venting problem with our dryer. It now works fabulously. He also gave us a recommendation for solving the problem in the future. You cannot go wrong with this guy. We will use him again for all venting and duct work cleaning. Thank you, Yuri!

Yuri and his coworker arrived promptly and went through the house and gave us the cost. They were here for 6 hours. They covered their shoes each time they re-entered the house. After the ducts were cleaned, Yuri checked the furnace and found a couple of things which he fixed. These items had not been noted by our annual contracted furnace check. Yuri also checked the dryer vent and cleaned it thoroughly (both inside and outsde vent lines and he also cleaned the entire dryer itself. Because of the extensive time and labor involved with the dryer cleaning, he charged another $50.00. This is included in the $470.00 total cost as entered above. We have had the duct work cleaned a couple of times (42 year old house) and this was by far the most thorough cleaning job we have experienced.

They were responsive, punctual, and professional. The price was good. The quality of their work was good.

They came in at about 8:45 am and, after slipping booties over their shoes (much appreciated!), walked through the house to look at all the vents and returns and furnace. Then they started working and completed the work at about 4:30 pm. The last time I had my ducts cleaned, the other company I used was in and out within a few hours, but Yuri (the owner of PYM) really takes his time and clearly takes a lot of pride in his work. Since it was really cold outside and they had the windows open in the basement, our water heater turned itself off which we didn't notice until later that evening. So I called Yuri first thing in the morning and asked him if that could be related to the work they did. He said maybe and came by later that day and turned our water heater back on. No charge. Great customer service!!!

They were very thorough and communicated what they were going to do. They were very clean and cleaned up after themselves. They came on time and were very efficient. The quality of the work was great. They have state of the art equipment as well.

We got PYM's name from Angie's List and chose this company based upon everyone's glowing reviews. PYM (Yuri Pomazov) was absolutely fantastic! We telephoned him at 11:30a.m., and he was on site at another job, but promised to come to our home around 3:00p.m. He was on time. He and his associate walked through our house to determine the job's scope, unloaded the equipment, minimized any dirt tracking into the house, explained the job and promptly got to work. Our dryer vent alone took a good 45 minutes to clean and was clogged with birds' nests. He did an absolutely thorough cleaning of all the vents and our dryer. At the end, he explained what we needed to do to keep nests from reforming in the future. His prices were accurate and fair. We even had a $10 coupon to use; however, Yuri provided such excellent value that we did not want to use the coupon!! We highly recommend him to anyone, and would definitely use him again!!

Yuri and an employee showed up and asked to be shown all the vents and the HVAC system. They then planned how best to get their equipment and hoses into the house. After they were done they showed us a hairline crack in the gas line that we didn't know about as well as point out some ways we could save money on our heating bill. They did a great job, going above and beyond what they said they would do. I would use PYM again in a heartbeat. I really can't say enough positive things about Yuri, his professionalism and knowledge, and how happy I was with the job that they did.

I found PYM on Angie's list Monday. I called Yurly, the owner. He talked with me about what we needed done. I thought we had 21 air vents coming from 2 furnaces--vents that had not been cleaned since our home was built in '77. He gave me a quote of $700. But as our furnaces were next to each other and as there was a $100 coupon on Angiel's list, our total would be $600. Yurly said the whole procedure would take about 4 hours. We made an appointment for him and his crew to come out Thursday of the same week. Yurly and his assistant (a very nice young man) arrived right on time at 8:30, ready to work. They wore protective coverings on their shoes whenever they were in the house. A large hose, attached from Yurly's truck (a special vehicle for this kind of work) was taken downstairs to our furnace area. Showed Yurly where all our vents were. There were a couple I hadn't counted, but that was no problem. Yurly and his assistance worked continuously--he downstairs and his assistant moving to each vent. Fortunately I was able to secure Skip's Towing to move out a refrigerator from the basement. I had called that morning, and as they could come out in the afternoon, I thought there would be time. When Skip's Towing got there, the vents were still being cleaned. Yurly and his assistant moved the big hose and even moved a storage cabinet in the garage to make it possible for the men to get the refrigerator out--without my having to ask--and moved them back when the men left, which I truly appreciated. Took a good 25 to 30 minutes out of their working time. The basement was not the ideal place to work in, as we had had a freezer break down and some liquid from a chicken package had leaked out and made quite a stench. I had cleaned the freezer out and done everything I knew to get rid of the smell, but the freezer needed to be removed. I never realized how "yucky" it still smelled down there and felt terribly that he had to work in that environment all day. Yurly never complained once. Yurly has a background in mechanical engineering. He shared some things with me about my house--things I had commented on--and suggested ways of fixing the problems. One of these was burning candles in the house. His first concern was the harm to the environment and air in our home which was showing up in our vents. When I found out these candles were also causing my a soot buildup on my ceilings (one of them not that long ago painted) which caused seeing the faint outline of the beams, I immediately got rid of all my candles except those for emergencies! Yurly had noticed the portable air conditioner on the upper floor. He was all packed up, ready to go, but still had me come upstairs and asked me about the problem up there. His suggestions were excellent. I was the one who said I needed to pay him more as there more vents and they were delayed in the work due to my account. My final bill was $700--money well spent. I can already tell my furniture is cleaner and know our air is better to breathe. Am highly recommending Yurly's company to my friends.

I hired Yuriy to clean our air ducts, as we had lots of dust and the house smelled stale. Since it was a rental for decades before we bought it, I suspected the ducts hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Yuriy arrived early, walked through the house with me for an overview, noting the number and location of vents. He quickly noticed that there was a large duct in the furnace room that wasn't even connected to the furnace. He surmised that it had been disconnected in the process of finishing the basement and never reconnected; it needed a section of ductwork, which Yuriy said he could install. After discussing with me the logistics of placing the equipment, he got to work. He and his assistant, Marquis, laid dropcloths over the basement furniture in order to run the suction vent over it (which connects to the truck, which has basically a massive vacuum), moved lots of boxes out of the furnace room and stacked them neatly (sorry guys!), and taped over the supply and return vents. Yuriy worked in the furnace room while Marquis started upstairs and proceeded from vent to vent, running a tube down into them to clean from his end while the truck-vacuum sucked the dust out of the house from the other end. He inspected each vent with a mirror, and showed me what he found if it was unusual. They worked for about four hours, broke for lunch, then got back to work. Yuriy showed me the state of our blower and condenser coil -- they were absolutely filthy. He cleaned them both with suction and with water, scrubbing mold off the condenser unit and getting them both sparkling clean. After about four more hours, Marquis went home, but Yuriy stayed for another hour to finish the job to his satisfaction. He cleaned the A/C coil thoroughly, and when my husband arrived home (just as Yuriy was preparing to leave), he stayed to explain fully to my husband the entire process. As they worked, they discovered that the unconnected duct belonged to the upstairs and dining-room return vents. This explained why the upstairs would not cool down, as there was nothing pulling the hot air out of that area! Yuriy reconnected the ductwork as promised, and demonstrated to me that it was working again. He and Marquis also kept me informed of what they found in the vents/ducts as they cleaned: mouse feces and nesting materials, a Barbie doll, two forks, and massive chunks of drywall/plaster. Yuriy was convinced from the amount of dust that the ducts had never been cleaned. Another important find was that the safety breaker on our furnace had been bypassed; Yuriy figured that with the upstairs return duct disconnected, the former renters hadn't been able to adequately heat those rooms. They responded by turning up the heat, which kept causing the unit to overheat and the safety breaker to operate, turning off the furnace. Instead of investigating the problem fully, the service company called by the landlord chose to install a jumper on the circuit, bypassing the safety breaker. Obviously, this is a potential fire hazard, so I am grateful to Yuriy for finding it and explaining it to me. Our house now smells much fresher, and the dust has been greatly reduced. The upstairs rooms are more comfortable now, and I understand our HVAC system much better than before. Yuriy and Marquis were friendly, polite, and thorough. It was a pleasant experience, and I plan to call PYM again when it's time for another cleaning!

Overall, it went well. Yuri was very polite. He explained everything as he was doing it and showed me the dust/lint buildup before and the cleaned areas after his work. He cleaned up well, too. Two recommendations for others: One, allow plenty of time for the work to be done. Yuri said he could come out the day that I called. When I told him I had to pick up my daughter at 1:00 for a doctor appointment, he assured me that he'd have enough time. Yuri finished and I left the house at 1:25; my daughter was late for the appointment. Two, have this work done on a cool day. As a necessary part of the job, Yuri used a large diameter, powerful hose to suction the dust/lint out of the house. Because he had to run the hose through an open door, the heat poured in the house. My A/C was put to the test.
