Description of Work: Where do I start? Yuri at Pym was a lifesaver to us this year. I had planned to have the air ducts cleaned at my home. I was not sure of the entire service as I had heard that it is easy to be fooled on this type of job since you really can't see the results so easily. Before I could schedule the air duct work, our furnace went out. It was a 1994 furnace. I called a company recommended by a friend and highly regarded in this area. They advised me I needed a new furnace. Since warm weather was around the corner, I decided not to replace the furnace right away and that ended up being a great decision on my part! Then the warm weather arrived. And now our air conditioner replaced in 2009 was not working. And it was hot, very hot in our home and a health risk to our bulldog who overheats quickly. While contemplating what to do about this new problem, I called Pym to get a quote on getting the air ducts cleaned. During that call in the late afternoon, I mentioned my air conditioner problem to Yuri. This day was particularly hot and we were miserable in the house even with fans. Immediately Yuri said he could take a look it for me and even though he had another job soon that evening he would come see if he could help. Yuri arrived about 30 minutes later and proceeded to check out the air conditioner. He worked and worked to diagnose the problem and in that hot home he was up and down stairs to the basement over and over to work on this issue. I had no idea that Yuri also offered air conditioning and furnace services when I contacted him. Within 90 minutes, our air conditioner was working. I then mentioned the furnace problem to him. He said he would look at it when he returned to clean the air ducts. In June 2014 we scheduled that project. Yuri and Marquis arrived in the morning and went right to work. They were diligent in making sure any debris was minimal in the home as they completed this job. Yuri then worked on the furnace. He cleaned it up until it looked brand new. He told me we had a good furnace and I needed to use different filters and that the installation in 1994 had not been done properly and could be fixed but would be fine if I wanted to leave it as is. He had different gauges on the furnace monitoring the heat and blower capabilities. He worked on the furnace adjusting it until it was in the proper ranges for each area. This took at least an additional hour or more. When I asked him how much the work was that day, he charged me only the $350 quoted for the air duct cleaning. Wow. And on the first visit when he got our air conditioning working, he only charged $35 for the time spent that day. Yuri was a joy to work with and he truly put the comfort of our family in the winter and in the spring as a priority. From now on, I will have Yuri come out in the fall and spring to service the units instead of the other big company I had contacted that wanted me to buy a new furnace for $5000. Yuri mentioned that my humidifier was old and not working and recommended we replace it and a capacitor when the weather started to turn cool. He advised me how to keep the ducts clean while our contractor was sanding and tearing out drywall and paneling etc. With our 3 big dogs he advised me to change the filter every 30 days from now on and to use much cheaper filters than I had been purchasing. Yuri was so diligent and knowledgable and saved me thousands of dollars on a furnace I did not need to replace. We will always appreciate his concern for our comfort on that hot spring day and our dogs appreciated his help as much as we did to cool the home down. Thank you Yuri and I look forward to seeing you this fall. We will have Yuri come out and check our furnace and air conditioning unit at our other home and clean the air ducts in the near future.

Description of Work: I called him to clean my vents, and he answered his phone. Then, he asked if today would be ok. He called me in advance to let me know when he would be by. He showed up when he said he would. He was here for two hours, cleaning the dryer vent, opening my dryer and cleaning it, picking up after himself, changing my dryer ventilation, etc. He was so thorough, and I have never had someone do such a good job. For all that time, it was $130. I had a $10 coupon, but I didn't use it, as I figured he deserved every penny.

Description of Work: Yuriy not only cleaned literally gallons of lint and debris out of my dryer vent, but pointed out that my dryer also needed cleaning. He also installed a new vent "door" and piping. It was a full service operation!! My dryer works so, so much better!
