Trevor was very helpful and gave us a good estimate of the time involved and the money needed. We ended up having to change the plan half-way through when our existing deck was found to have a lot of water damage we didn't know about. They were flexible and gave us a few options to keep the price down. The quality of the work was excellent, no problems with that at all. The crew was nice and punctual. The only reason I gave them a "B" was for responsiveness. They are very busy, and we got them in the rush of the end-of-summer season. However, we did not always get a call back in a timely manner, which was a little nerve-wracking given our plans had to change mid-project. The crew also left some old concrete pillars in our backyard as opposed to hauling them away when the project was done. They did come back the next day, once we brought it to their attention. They left our yard, overall, in a great place. We are planning to call them again for some additional work we need done next year.

We were very pleased with the work of Shelton Landscape and Maintenance. It took awhile to get the job scheduled which is why I graded responsiveness a B but once it was scheduled things went very well. All work was completed in one day...clean-up was excellent. Scott was in and out and kept his crew on task with good direction. Scott called the following business day to be sure we were pleased with the job. We would definitely use them again.

Great super job the foreman Greg was very personable. They cleaned up everything. Scott did a great job in estimating . He was the only one who send picture of all the plants and of the gravel'

The initial project - which actually took place last summer - went well. The project took significantly longer than expected but that was because of a permit issue with the City and not any issues with Shelton Landscape or the subcontractors they used for the deck. One year later, one of the posts on the deck had sunk causing the deck to slope - an aesthetic and safety issue. I e-mailed pictures of the slope to Clay at Shelton and had an immediate response. Within in a week the problem was solved at no expense to us, and though such sinkage in the City is a common issue, we were assured that they would get this problem solved no matter how often they had to come back. I was happy with the initial service, but it was the follow-up a year later that really made me write this review. I felt like getting the issue fixed was a top priority for them.

Clay Deschler was the Shelton Lanscape Consultant. He came out to our house in a timely manner to give us a quote. He spent a great deal of time going over what we wanted and giving us options for the design and stone coloring and type. He met us at the company that Shelton uses for the stone pavers so we could see what color we wanted. The quote was reasonable and we signed the contract. It took a little bit of time to schedule the start of the project due to the amount of rain we had this spring. But Clay kept us informed throughout on what was going on. When we finally got a time scheduled, the installation team was on time and ready to work. Clay was with them to start the project. The team was great to work with and the results were fantastic. We would recommend this company to anybody that needs landscaping work done.

We are completely satisfied with the work Shelton Landscaping performed. We had a new deck built and needed to landscape the area. Got a few bids and Shelton's was done very professionally, gave the best value and fit our wishes the best. Area was prepped - old bushes and mulch removed and area leveled. Plants were placed and border and rock installed. Must have had 6-7 workers here and the pretty big sized job was easily done in a day. Site was cleaned up well. Owner called to follow up the following day. The entire area looks great, so excited to entertain in our new space. Will be calling Shelton again to keep sprucing up our landscaping.

We couldn't be more pleased with the job that was done. The wall turned out great and we have people stopping to ask who did the work. Ground cover looks awesome and should grow to be completely filled in by spring. The workers were prompt and really, really worked hard for the entire week they were at our house. We really feel like the work was worth every penny and wish we would have had it done years ago.

It went great, I got many compliments on the landscaping and patio. Everything is holding up really well. They were the best price out of everyone.

Scott responded promptly and professionally. He designed a landscape for the front of our home, allowing the beauty of our home to shine, instead of hiding it behind overgrown shrubs. He also had his crew take down 3 different railroad tie retaining walls and built 3 stone walls instead, adding lovely landscape rock and trim. His crew cleared out an overgrown area of our yard and planted beautiful shrubs and laid out brick liners and mulch. His crew had such an attention to detail, making sure each brick aligned perfectly. They were polite and cleaned up their area. I recommend them highly!

Shelton had two people working on my project from morning into the afternoon. They did everything per contract including a very good job of removing and putting back lawn ornaments. Their work enhanced the exterior of our home.

This is the third time I've used Shelton for landscaping (the property I purchased needed a lot of it). I've been satisfied with the results every time. Everything looks great, and we've received no end of compliments from our neighbors over the past couple of weeks. It only took a few days for them to do everything, and they do a great job cleaning up during and after completion. Whether it's my current home, or my next home, I intended to stick with Shelton for any of my landscaping needs.

The entire process went very well. Clay met with my wife and I to review designs and select our plants. The plans were excellent and we had a good choice of plants. The workmanship was very good and our yard looks great. We have had numerous compliments on our landscaping from our neighbors. I highly recommend Shelton Landscaping and will use them again for my next project.

My yard was MAJORLY overgrown and in desperate need of cleanup. Shelton came out and removed weeds (some a few feet high) as well as a 15' tree and several other large plants that had died during the harsh winter. They also trimmed the low branches from two of my other trees, cut down wisteria from my deck and applied mulch to all of the flower beds. They were very professional and friendly, and I think for the amount of work my yard needed, their price was very fair. I will definitely use them in the future. In fact I am considering having them come out every spring to keep it looking beautiful. Thank you Shelton!

All in all, another A+ for Scott Shelton and his crew. Shelton Landscaping did a huge renovation project (regrading, drainage, boulder wall install, design and install trees, shrubs, plants, beautiful custom patio design and install) for us previously that was also A+. As always, Scott arrived promptly at the initial appointment and spent considerable time sharing and discussing our ideas and his reactions to them. Within a week, we had all of the drawings back and were able to "tweak" the final design elements. Scott's crew showed up promptly on the designated day and worked continuously for two days. As the retaining wall portion of the project began coming together, we saw that extending the wall and adding slightly to the elevation would be more appealing and meet our design goals (e.g., adding a fence, planning for future tree placements) in a more attractive way. All of the modifications we requested were done "on the fly" and the project came out perfectly. We were thrilled with the entire project and continue to receive numerous compliments from neighbors, who walk, by, friends, and family. A couple of the plants did not survive the transplantation well, and Scott took care of replacing them soon after our request. Even though we had used Shelton Landscaping before, we still got a second bid for the project as a sort of "benchmark." Scott's bid was almost 20% lower. We actually would have used Shelton Landscaping no matter what-we could have just had a price discussion if there had been a huge disparity. In summary, another great job at a great price. Our property is exactly what we envisioned when we began planning a couple years ago and if we have any other landscaping needs we will rely on Scott and Shelton Landscaping as our vendor.

.Clay from Shelton Landscape visited our property in May to provide an estimate on a retaining wall that we figure would be about 3 or 4 stones high by 34 feet. Clay discussed the various options and said he would provide us with a proposal by email. After about 3 weeks, and no email, we went with an independent contractor to build the wall. Angie's List representative contacted us by phone and asked for our review. I told Angie's List that we never heard back from Shelton and assumed since this would be around $2,000 job that they just were not interested. I can understand that a job being too small for them but expected a least a response. After my phone conversation with Angie's, Clay called wondering why we gave a C grade as a response. He said a proposal had been sent and we verified the email address. We had checked the Spam folder during the time of expected response but to us a lack of a decline to do the job would have been better than no response and therefore our initial grading. I have no reason to not to believe a proposal was emailed and we just did not receive it. I can only grade Shelton on my initial visit with Clay would give Shelton a A grade.

Crew of three showed up on time early in the morning. All work done well and timely. The did a fantastic job cleaning up the landscape. Recommended them to our neighbors already and they used them too!

Scott arrived promptly to bid the job. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He actively listened to our ideas about the work and the vision we had for the design and the project. While maintaining our vision, he also made numerous suggestions for alternate approaches and explained the pros and cons of different materials, trees, etc. We had multiple phone calls, emails, and on-site visits. Given the scale of the project, Scott also worked out an excellent and systematic plan if we wanted to do the job in phases. His pricing was very competitive and fair from among the three bids we received. Communication was excellent-every phone call and email was responded to and any promised alterations in drawings, bids, etc. were clear and consistent with what we had discussed. When the job began, Scott's crew showed up promptly each day and worked very hard-as did the subcontractors whom he'd selected. The speed with which the project was completed was amazing and as the project unfolded, some opportunities to improve the original plan developed based on our conversations with Scott. Any changes that we requested were implemented and pricing adjustments (including credits) were fair and reasonable. Overall, the job came out wonderfully. We've received multiple unsolicited comments from neighbors on how great everything looks, and we're already discussing some additional work we'd like Scott to do this fall and spring. If it were possible to give an "A+" instead of an "A" in the ratings, Shelton Landscaping certainly earned it and it is difficult to imagine ever using another landscaping service or contractor.

Scott Shelton understood exactly what we wanted to accomplish and made suggestions along the way which resutled in a beautiful end project that we love and for which we have received numerous compliments. He and his team were responsive, punctual and hardworking. They showed up early, worked a full day, took only a lunch break and cleaned up every evening before they left each day. It was a large project and was completed in less than two weeks. It rained on and off throughout the whole period, yet they still showed up and accomplished as much as they could. I will absolutely recommend Shelton Landscaping to my friends and family and plan to use them in the future!

Scott was great at offering different ideas of what to do with the area and was also open to what I was visualizing for the area. I had gotten three bids for the job for comparison and he was right in the middle, very fair for the amount of work to be done. Once we decided we wanted to go with Shelton landscaping Scott was very good at keeping me informed for scheduling the job-he told me in advance how the previous job was going and called to let me know when we would be next. The men he has working for him were very good-they moved a huge boulder around until I was happy with the way it looked-they really want to please the home owner.They were very detailed and everything was cleaned up and looked beautiful when they were done.I would definitely call Shelton landscaping in the future for any of our landscaping jobs.

Mr. Shelton's crew came out on the day set up and on time. The landscaping came first and the group of men worked tirelessly through some very hot hot days. We applaud them their work ethic. Once that part was complete the lawn work began. Mr. Greg Miller was most professional and very friendly and did such an excellent job in removing the old grass and rocks and then grading the new soil. It took several days and once again it was during one of our very hot periods. What a wonderful job he did. Then the rest of the crew brought in the skids of grass and laid them out. It took time but it looks beautiful and we are very grateful to all of them. What a wonderful job they did. Mr. Shelton was out each day to make sure everything was going well and that we were happy with what was taking place and we were.

Shelton Landscaping did excellent work. After disappointment with two other landscaping companies, I couldn't be happier. They were fast, but still very thorough and left the place immaculate. I can whole heartily recommend them.

Trevor met with me and I explained what I wanted done. He came up with a plan and provided a cost within 10 days. He captured exactly what I was wanting done. Due to other projects, the work was completed about 4 weeks. The cost was about $3,000 less than a previous bid from another company and I am extremely happy with how it looks and so are my neighbors! The property was left clean and in good condition.

Trevor set an appointment with me (for a Tuesday morning) to come look at an area where I need a tree replaced and sod laid down. By the following Friday I hadn't heard anything, so I called the office and asked Trevor if he had been able to come by and take a look and if he had an estimate ready for me. He stated that he was, ?in the area, but couldn't find my house? and that he, ?must have written the house number down wrong.? Why wouldn't he have called me to ask/confirm the correct house number on Tuesday, instead of me having to call on Friday to find out that he hadn't even been to my house? He then proceeded to tell me that I should probably just contact a nursery, if all I needed was a tree. I again explained that I also needed sod laid out, but that I would contact another landscaper since he didn't seem interested in the business.

Clay gave us a detailed drawing of the proposed area to be landscaped. He was accurate in his estimate of when the job would begin and how long it would take. The individuals who did the planting did an excellent job. Will be anxious to see the blooms on the flowering plants next spring. Clay stated he would replace any plants, if for some reason, they did not survive the winter.
