I had them out for over a year and I still have mice. They supposedly guarantee their work, but that doesn't mean they guarantee getting rid of your mice, just that they will come back out and keep charging you.

The representative was very knowledgable and had empathy for the animals. We felt more comfortable and got lot of information. we have signed up for the quarterly treatment and hopefully it will go well. BTW, this Rove Pest control is located in Southborough and is part of same company.

I use them quarterly or whenever I need them. I have used them for six years. I like them. I have used them in between different homes. They charge me quarterly, and if they re-treat for a previous issue, they do not charge for that.

Yesterday, I fell for the door-to-door offer for a $1 Service when signing a 12 month contract. I scheduled my first appointment for the next day (today, a Saturday). The technician was supposed to arrive between 9 - 11 am. I recieved a confirmation last night saying the technician would arrive betweeb 9 and 11. It is now 11:45, on a beautiful Saturday morning, and I have wasted the morning waiting for the technician. No ETA call, no "sorry I'm running late" call, no nothing. I tried calling the number I received, and, of course, the office is closed on Saturday. I can only assume the technician isn't coming. This is a very poor start and I'm very disappointed in this service I am now "trapped" in for a full year. I would not sign up again.

No mice so far, but we usually have the problem in the winter so we will see. Just has the second application for ants. So far we still have a carpenter ant problem. Let's hope this application helps.

Remember that between regular visits, additional services needed for those ants and/or mice are free so don't hesitate to let us know! A colony of carpenter ants can be in the 250,000 ant range and there can be several colonies at play, so they can take some time to work through, but our commitment is to do what we need to in order to reach that as quickly as possible. I asked 2-3 times simply for something in writing as to their treatment plan ... where they would treat and for what pests ... and was told "it's not rocket science, we do not do that" and "I just told you". Was treated rudely and was told "good luck to whoever you have to work with". I will not use these guys.

It was kind of expensive but I think we had the thing under control by the time they came. The first experience was good. They do alright. I've never used anybody like this before so I really didn't know what to expect. They showed up pretty quickly after I submitted the request - within a few days. They were there when we expected them - within a half hour or so of when they were supposed to come. Didn't have any problems. I think I'm going to have to look at the prices and do a little comparison shopping first before I'd go with them again, but I'd say yes.
Description of Work: They did mice pest control. They set up some traps. We're getting it for the whole year and they're coming back every quarter now and checking on them. They check all their traps and make sure there is bait in all of them. He found a couple of places where we could have had mouse ingress and plugged them up and everything was fine. We didn't have any more mice. They did a follow-up visit early this week but I haven't heard the results of their checking on all the traps, so I don't know what they found.

Here is what we liked: The price is fair, their chemicals are non toxic, their technicians are nice. Here is what we did not like and why we would NEVER recommend them to anyone. 1. We are a bit old fashioned, so we were paying by check. Two times in a row- the technician "lost" our check. Rove covered the cost of the stop payment- but accused us of "making up" that we had paid with a check. Very unprofessional to lose 2 checks- and then blame the customer. 2. They schedule when they are coming out- if you are not home, too bad- they only do the outside. You can try to schedule an inside treatment when you are home- but it is on their terms when they have a technician in your area ( so very hard to schedule). Even if they do not treat the inside, they charge you the same amount. SO basically, it benefits them if they can schedule when you are not home. 3. After the second lost check, and scheduling difficulties we finished our last service of our contract, and assumed we were then done. No- I get an email two months later saying we have an appointment scheduled in two weeks. I called to cancel it, stating we had completed our contract in August, and they said they had no record of it - and we had to give them 30 days notice to cancel the appointment THEY scheduled or we still had to pay for it ! ( we will be at work that day too- of course!) Horrible customer service! Not professional.

They were okay. They didn't get rid of my mice. I think they came out within a week. They say that they'll get rid of your mice but actually they didn't get rid of the mice. However, my mouse population dropped considerably so that was good. It didn't drop the first time they came out but then they did come out again because I was very dissatisfied the first time. The guy who came didn't realize that it was our first visit from Rove. He thought that they had been out before. I had to reexplain to him what my situation was. They didn't seem to know. He put a bunch of traps around and left and I still had mice. Here's a larger complaint of mine. They explained when I called that what they're doing is putting these mouse traps around. Then, the poison that they use makes the mice thirsty and they leave the house to go find water. According to another pest control institution, that is not the case at all. The mice didn't have to go outside to find water. I don't appreciate it at all. I never go back to people who give me misinformation like that. I don't know if they're lying or if they just believe some stories that they've been told. It's incorrect. That's a really high price for not getting rid of all my mice. I think if they had called me back after the second trip and asked how are things now, I would have graded them higher. I don't remember them being late. They came out when they said they would.

I cannot tell the difference from when they sprayed and when they don't. And I was suckered into a contract with them. I used their competitors which are much better last year. When I told them that they told me I was in a contract and sent me the contract. They also did not spend my backyard one time and never mentioned it to me, the girl answering the phone when she pulled up my file mentioned it but I was never notified. Although they still wanted their same monthly payment. Do not use Rove Pest Control.

As far as actual pest control Rove seems competent enough. Although on a couple visits it just seemed as though the guy was randomly spraying, without giving much attention to detail. But, in fairness to them, there is no pest issue here. The troubling thing about Rove is their door to door salespeople misrepresenting what is in the contract, especially regarding cancellation. They play a game where cancellation must be thirty days before the next service and in writing. In other words, they make it as inconvenient as possible to cancel the contract. And, frankly, busy people often forget until the one-week notification shows up in the email - and then it is too late. It seems like a manipulative way to run a business. Be cautious with them. If they come to your door, ask for a copy of their contract, read it carefully and have them come back the next day if you wish to proceed and sign it. Don't trust the salesman to be completely transparent. Don't sign on the spot.

I have a contract with this service provider to come out every three months and take care of the mice/snakes/bugs in my yard. I have a gazebo and waterfall in my yard and they do an amazing job at keeping the pests away and at a distance. They do great work!

I am not home when they come. I got 3 quotes and they were in line with the other three so their price is average. They usualy leave their trash behind, and I have asked them several times to pick it up. They could be a little more professional. I will continue using them.

A guy came to the door selling exterminator services by Rove Pest. First, I should know better than to sign up with a door to door salesman. The salesman wasn't very clear on the contract. One thing, he didn't say was that there was a senior discount. Another was that if you paid with a credit card you had to notify them within a specified time to discontinue their services or it would automatically renew and they would charge your credit card. I thought I was signing up for just 4 sprayings. They came 4 times. They sprayed around the outside of the house 2 of the times and around the base boards inside the house. This was just for bugs, not mice or rodents. In January they sprayed around the base boards in the basement. It took them about 15 minutes and charged $91.18 for that one spraying. They did leave some sticky bug traps. I feel I could have bought a can of bug spray and done just as good a job for less than $10..

For the most part, Rove did a good job and I will use them next year. Whenever I made a call for service, costumer service always made sure that a tech would be at my home within a reasonable time. The chemicals used to treat the insects are safe around my dog and family. They provided care not only inside but outside my home as well. Just not sure how well the chemicals worked because I still had spiders afterwards. And still do even though its December. They took care of a couple hornet nests that were of a concern and those bugs never returned.

I like them very, very much. We've had a few issues with them with people changing that come out to do the service. I've asked them to send the same service person every time because they come into our home to treat as well as outside. They promoted the one person we had for many years. We were happy about that but they didn't let us know. They sent someone else and I had to show him where the bait boxes were. He was very kind and informative. I've asked to have him come every time now. We will continue working with them but we've had a couple of issues. We are good with their pricing.

Hi contacted Rove Pest Control to have my apartment inspected for presence of fleas and bedbugs. I got an appointment set very quickly, and Brian came to perfrom the job. He has been extremely professional, detailed, knowledgeable and very courteous. He spent more than 45 min at my place to check every corner, and he also gave many explanations on what to look for during an inspection, which was very helpful. It turned out there was no infestation in the apartment, giving me a great peace of mind. Service was performed at no cost. I could have not asked for anything more. The experience with Rove Pest Control has been fantastic, and I would defintively use this provider in the future if necessary. No need to search further.
