Description of Work: The service was to discuss bathroom mirrors they had installed 5 years ago that were silvering badly. Our previous mirrors lasted 26 years before we decided to replace them with a bathroom update. They accused us of using ammonia on them, which we know is bad for mirrors and never used on them. They did not believe us. The mirrors were expensive because it included 3 separate panels over a large space. Would never consider using them again.

Description of Work: Provider was to install shower glass in bathroom remodel. When asked to assist in solving a possible installation problem, he became increasingly agitated, refusing to any accommodation to solve the problem that did not involve a costly and ultimately unnecessary upgrade, blaming the general contractor for the problems. Finally I was forced to order him from my home. The next day he denigrated me and my wife to that same general contractor. Another contractor installed the same type of glass without incident. The supposed dangers that "required" the extra cost additions did not exist and seemed to be exaggerated to increase the cost of the project from the original bid.

Description of Work: I had a few windows with broken seals and was considering replacing them. On a recommendation I called White Bear Glass and they gave me a quote to replace the glass in the windows at a fraction of the cost to replace the entire window. Their installers came out as scheduled and replaced the glass in five windows in about an hour. Very courteous, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend them.

All new windows were cleaned inside & out, minor repairs made to operating mechanisms, when necessary, at no extra charge and work area was cleaned upon completion.
Description of Work: Replaced four 2'x5' thermopane casement windows (clad on exterior) on four-season porch.

The installer also showed up exactly on time, was cheerful, pleasant and professional. The windows look great. I did not solicit other bids so I don't know how their price compares with other providers.

 + -1 moreTHEY WERE NOT ABLE TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT AS QUICKLY AS ANOTHER COMPANY, BUT WERE EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND PROFESSIONAL OVER THE TELEPHONE. AS WELL, THEIR ESTIMATE WAS CHEAPER THEN THE COMPANY I ENDED UP USING, ITS JUST THAT I WOULD HAVE HAD TO HAVE A HOLE IN MY WINDOW FOR ANOTHER WEEK IF I HAD USED THEM. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN, ESPECIALLY IF I WAS NOT IN A HURRY TO GET THE WORK DONE.
