I agreed to have him do the work. He came out the next day, and when I got home, it was all taken care of. The trees were in a sensitive spot because they were on a slight hill, and next to a very crabby neighbor's fence. The job looked great! I was very happy with the result.

When I first dialed Xtreme Tree, Pete personally answered the phone and set up an appointment to look at the job the next day. He arrived promptly and gave good, clear answers to all our questions. We were impressed by both his manner and his knowledge. His estimate turned out to be a little lower than the other estimate we had gotten. When we called him back, we mentioned the Angie's List 10% off coupon and he readily agreed to apply the 10% discount to his original estimate. On the day fixed for the work, he and his worker arrived right on time. They did good work in cutting the bushes to stumps and grinding up branches to be hauled away in their truck.They also--fearlessly-- cleaned up the litter of old bush "needles" that had accumulated under the bushes and that we thought to be the "home" of aggressive, ground nesting wasps that had stung both my husband and myself when we got too near. A third worker arrived with a stump grinder and did an excellent job of removing stumps and roots, while taking care not to damage a wood retaining wall. Cleanup was very thorough and careful. We were very well pleased with all aspects of the work.

I called Pete on March 30th and he came out to go over the job and give me a price on March 31st as we agreed. I thought his price was very reasonable and he said he could do the job the next day if I was in agreement. We agreed and he and his team showed up mid morning (actually earlier than he scheduled) and he and his team (all very nice gentleman and professional) completed the agreed work in about four hours. They utilized very good equipment and were accomplished climbers. Their clean-up was outstanding. I am a very satisfied customer and will use them again.

They got the tree down in three hours and they took it all the way down to the ground. I was very happy with them. There was one fence that we were planning to take down and they dropped a big branch on it and bent it. Without even mentioning it, they went out and bought a new rod to replace it. I told them they didn't have to replace it because we were taking the fence out anyway. They ended up taking that post back. They wanted to make everything right and I was very impressed with that. They didn't try to make excuses. They were very fast and efficient. My daughter, my wife and I actually sat out there and watched them take the tree down. It was very interesting. One of the guys was more than willing to explain what they were doing. The stump was really hard to get out and they came out a second time to make sure everything was done correctly. They were very professional and straightforward. They were very good at what they did. We actually had them do a little more work like trimming our lilac bushes. They did very good work on that. They followed what we wanted them to do. If they didn?t think something was going to work, they would explain why.

I spent around $900 on the job. It was a good experience working with them. I will use them again.

Called Xtreme Tree based on recommendations found here at Angie's List approximately 2 weeks prior to service date of 12/18/09. Pete from the company said he lived nearby and therefore would be able to swing by and take a look so as to write up an estimate. Some winter weather hit and Pete could not make it the next day, but he called a day afterward and explained he would have a chance that day for an estimate. Pete called back that day with an estimate of $550 for 1 ash tree removal, 1 oak trim, haul wood and brush waste away. I confirmed that I'd like for him to perform the service and he stated he could be there on Fri., Dec 18th. On that Friday I returned from work to see the ash tree removed down to the ground and the oak tree in front neatly trimmed and symmetrical. Pete returned the next day to check if I had any questions and collect payment. The payment matched the stated estimate to the penny.

I was very happy with the service. I got an estimate right away and the work was completed quickly. The price was reasonable and the clean-up was adequate.

The company removed a large Ash tree (approximately 2 ft diameter truck about 60 ft tall) from our backyard, removed all the branches, and cut the rest into 16" logs stacked neatly that I will be able to use as firewood. Excellent job!

It went well overall. The owner, Pete, responded quickly in person to give a bid on the work. It compared favorably to another tree service bid and we chose Xtreme Tree to do the work. They were able to do the work within days and did a very good job.

The price was very reasonable and lower than two other services we checked with. They shaped the locusts beautifully and safely cut them away from the house. In the backyard they cut the brush, cut up the trees and hauled it all away. When I got back to the house that day, everything was totally cleaned up. Very well done all the way around. Since the work was done last fall and I am just filling out this form in March, I just cant remember the amount we paid except it was the best of three bids.

He obviously understood his work and his entire crew did an excellent job. They carefully trimmed the trees, cleared the cuttings, raked the lawn, and used blowers to clean the driveway. Of special note was the concern of one of the workers when he found a baby squirrel that had fallen from a tree. He carefully placed it in a box and told me that he would take it to a local nature center when they bottle feed baby animals. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

Pete came out to do an estimate. A tree overhanging the neighbor's garage was a special concern. Pete was very knowledgeable and was able to explain why pruning and trimming would be helpful, how to avoid wind damage to trees and how much of the tree could safely be pruned. I wanted to hire him, but another estimate I got was so much lower, I decided to go with it (their rep also impressed me with his knowledge and experience). Pete's estimate was in line with the third estimate I got, so I don't think it was out of line. I'm still not sure why the guy I hired was so much lower. I would recommend Xtreme even though I didn't actually go with them.

Our next door neighbors hired Xtreme Tree to remove a dead cherry tree that, if it had fallen would have landed on our deck. We watched them remove the huge tree in sections, grind up the stump and clear the brush. Xtreme Tree then asked us if we wanted any work done. We showed them the problem with the aspens rubbing the tops of our pine trees raw and asked if there was any way they could get in the tight space and remove those trees. They were so quick and knowledgeable and gave us a very good price. They removed all the debris and raked the yard when they were done. We were very impressed and will hire them again when we trim our oak trees next year.

PETE PROMPTLY RETURNED OUR PHONE CALL ASKING FOR BID. HE DID INDICATE THAT IT WOULD BE A WAIT FOR HIM TO COMPLETE THE WORK, AS THERE HAD JUST BEEN A MAJOR STORM WITH MUCH TREE DAMAGE AND HE HAD EMERGENCY WORK FOR MANY CLIENTS. WE KNEW THIS IN ADVANCE, AND DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WHEN IT TOOK A FEW WEEKS. THE MAJORITY OF THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN ONE DAY AND WAS DONE WELL AND PROFESSIONALLY. WE DO STILL HAVE SOME REMNANTS OF THE LILACS IN THE FRONT YARD. PETE SUGGESTED WE USE A TILLER TO TAKE OUT WHAT REMAINS BUT THE ROOTS AND STUMPS ARE TOO SUBSTANTIAL. I HAVE CONTACTED HIM AGAIN TO SEE IF HE WILL SEND SOMEONE BACK TO COMPLETE THIS PORTION OF THE JOB. WHILE THIS IS NOT RESOLVE AT THE MOMENT, I USED XTREME TREE ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF FAMILY MEMBERS WHO USE THIS SERVICE REGULARLY AND WHO HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE QUALITY OR SERVICE, SO I DON'T ANTICIPATE IT WILL BE A PROBLEM TO RESOLVE.

PETE TOOK THE TIME AND EXPLAINED EXACTLY WHAT NEEDED TO BE DONE. ON THE SCHEDULED DAY AND TIME THE CREW ARRIVED AND DID A GREAT JOB OF TRIMMING AND REMOVING THE DEBRIS. I WILL USE THEM WHEN EVER I NEED TREES REMOVED OR TRIMMED.
