it was ok; $200 doesn't buy much tree trimming.

I had contacted Jacob regarding an estimate to address a water issue near the front entrance of our home back in late July. He returned my call fairly quickly and was out to do the estimate within a few days. He had some great ideas on how to grade a very small and difficult area and was very personable and professional. Shortly after, it had been recommended to us that only an interior drain tile repair was needed to remedy the problem. So, we decided to forgo the extra step of grading. After a period of time, we decided we wanted to take that additional precaution and have the grading done. So, I contacted Jacob again because I was so impressed with the initial meeting. The estimate was an hourly rate for 2 men with an expected job time of 4-6 hours. He had taken notes and remembered what we were trying to accomplish. The estimate remained unchanged in October. He was able to schedule the job within a matter of a few days and only my schedule resulted in waiting a bit longer. On the morning of the job, Jacob and his crew showed up within the hour time frame he had given me. He brought 3 men with him rather than 2 but the hourly rate remained the same. We spent some time problem solving and considering how to proceed in the best way to move the water away from the house foundation. Then, Scott, Josh and Levi set to work. All of them were very personable, professional and cared very much that they were doing a great job for us. Jacob stopped by a few more times during the course of the day to oversee and offer his thoughts on approach. Jacob only charged the time against the work in progress and not the discussion/learning time. At some point, it became apparent that we needed to take an extra step and run a drain tile type system and spout out further into the yard. That was not in the original plan. But, they adjusted and stayed committed to completing the job the same day. That was particularly important because we had our house up for sale and wanted to make sure it was quick and kept clean. They did the job always keeping that in mind. The total job time including the additional unexpected work was charged for 5 hours. Still within the time given on the estimate. Unfortunately, once the rock was laid back into place, there was still a visible gully effect that needed to be leveled out with more rock. So, it was necessary to purchase additional rock, incur a delivery fee and labor to have them come back and fill it in. But, Jacob made that happen the very next morning which exceeded my expectations. Jacob and all of his crew are very conscientious and professional. I would recommend and hire them again.

Service went well except they charged $100 extra for removing the debris. Last year, for the same price, they included the debris removal. Their price went up significantly this year.

I purchased an offer through Angie's List for shrub removal,yard cleanup for $199 from Pine Ridge LLC. I received an email from them declining my job because it was outside their service area. Their business page specifically lists Bloomington as a city they service. When asked for an explanation, they said their service are did not extend east of Hwy 100, even though this is only a mile from my home and they list cities many miles further east from Bloomington.

Jacob did an excellent job for my elderly mother in law. Last year was one tough season for snow plowing and he stepped right in and helped us out. We are signed up for the 2014-15 season and ready for him to keep things in shape for this year. Very personable and professional . Pay for the service level you need (high priority or a lower priority) and you won't be disappointed.

Last Fall, he also trimmed some trees for us. His prices are excellent and they did a good job. He was able to trim the trees from the ground. Clean-up was good but their prices can be a little high for tree removal.

He has been a Gold Star member for several years. He is excellent! He is very, very professional, very prompt, and very courteous. I just can't say enough about him. I went with him because he was close and I just took a chance.

Jacob responded quickly to my inquiry about my landscape projects and his spring cleanup deal cost was far less than what it would have run hourly. He and his team were punctual, friendly and extremely efficient.

I purchased their Angies List special fall deal of 4 man hours of work for $179. They came right when they said they would and accomplished more than I could have in days! I'm very pleased and will hire them again. Very friendly, and professional crew. And they left everything neat and tidy. My yard looks SO much better.

I was really happy! The service was just great. I am glad I had read reviews online before the service was provided. I knew that disposal of the shrubbery and other stuff was expensive so I was prepared and had a bag ready for disposal. Otherwise that would have been an additional charge. The charge for disposal seems high to me, but I don't know how much Pine Ridge has to pay to get rid of the material. I was happy to take care of that piece of it. Otherwise, I had paid for the clean up which included 4 person hours. 3 people came to do the job, so it meant they were here for an hour and 20 minutes. The job I had was pretty big. He told me that they could finish it up with an additional hour for the three of them and I agreed to pay that. It was well worth it. The three guys worked really hard, they got a lot done and the place looked great when they left. They were pleasant, upfront with time estimates and fees. They came when they were supposed to come. All in all, it was great. I will certainly use them again.

Angie's List recommended & processed payment for this service, despite my not being located within the vendor's service area. Site did refund the purchase after I had to do additional work filling out request form(s), about 7 business days later. Certainly an issue with Angie's list, not the vendor itself (but I keep getting emails pestering me to provide a review)

They were friendly, professional and did exactly what we asked. Ryan, in particular, was excellent. He communicated with us very well, was meticulous and diligent in his work and was friendly, helpful and professional. We are very happy with the results and recommended them to neighbors who will be using them.

The guys showed up a little early and worked for the exact time we had discussed. They were friendly and polite. When they left, they did not try to upsell or suggest more work that needed to be done.

It turned out very well. I have hired them to do some additional work and they been back since. They did just what they said they were going to do.

They were timely. They worked fast and were very professional. It was 2 young men at $50.00 per hour for both for 2 hours. If you wanted more work done (beyond the 2 hours) the price doubled and does not include haul away. They do not mow.

They were easy to work with and got quite a bit done in the time I had paid for.

Jacob and a couple other guys arrived on time on the agreed upon day. Quickly cut down the tree and then cut it up. I asked that they didn't do the cleanup to save me some money, so the biggest thing for me was that they cut the tree up into manageable pieces. I don't have a chainsaw so if they would have left anything too large I would have had no way to cut it up myself. They did a great job of making sure every piece was small enough to for me to carry, which was great.

I really liked working with these folks. First, Pine Ridge was able to schedule me in July, because I didn't want to trim evergreens in August. Three men arrived promptly and gave me a lot of quick service in 1 hour 20 minutes (4 man-hours.) The arborvitae haven't looked this good in several years. Moreover, they cleaned up as they went, pulled out weeds as they saw them, and even dug out a small dead globe arborvitae and filled in the hole. They were friendly and helpful. We discussed how the smokebush would be pruned before they did the work. In short, they treated my lovely landscaped yard as if it were their own. And now it looks even better!

Contracted for tree trimming...waited months as they were so booked and they kept rescheduling. got to the point that it was winter now, so we were nervous that tree trimming was not warranted with weather. they said it was fine in this weather. They showed up in December and at that point we decided to take the tree down. They did a good job, but we waited so long.

The Pine Ridge team did a great job. Not only did they work hard to get out several native plants that were well rooted into the ground, they also cut down our bushy shrubs to their base. Their efforts allowed me to jump right into the fun parts of landscaping! I also really appreciate that all branches, stray leaves, etc were picked up and discarded. Thank you!

I have a large yard with a lot of trees. I was very happy with their services. I didn't realize when I bought the deal I would have to pay extra to have the leaves bagged and hauled away, so there were extra costs I didn't expect. They wouldn't allow me to keep them and dispose of them myself.

Excellent crew. Have used this company multiple times and always very satisfied. Will use them again
