Description of Work: Mulching around trees on one-acre lot. I was relatively satisfied with their work, but had to wait a long time to get on their calendar. Their "Big Deal" was evidently very popular, which resulted in customer wait times.

Description of Work: I called Jacob before we moved into our new home to discuss several issues we had with overgrown/dead trees that needed removing. He was extremely responsive to email, texts and phone calls. What a delightful and professional young man. His team arrived on time and were fast and precise. They cleaned up the areas where the trees were and were even kind enough to trim a tree in a certain way so my girls would have a great climbing tree. Jacob gave us valuable advice on several other trees that we were concerned about. At no time did he try to add or up-sell, which made it easy to decide to ask him to do a few additional projects. I am very particular and I would not hesitate to recommend Pine Ridge to anyone in need of tree services.

Description of Work: The provider would not honor the Angie's List Big Deal on hardwood mulch, saying we were not located in their service area, when indeed, according to their website, we were. They wouldn't respond to my inquiries about the inconsistencies. Had to request a refund from Angie's list.

Description of Work: Nothing. I bought an Angie's Big Deal, then got an email saying I wasn't in their service area (I live in Mpls). I had to spend time requesting a refund. They should have made their service area clear up front.

Description of Work: provider sent an email saying they do not serve my area and i should call AL to request a refund. My zip code was listed on their website as being within their service area so I was confused and frustrated that the onus was placed on my to try to get my money back.

But, I am retired and home 90% of the time , surely we could have found time to meet to develop a work plan. I realize it has been raining and that landscaping work is certainly backed up, but I am a customer too.

Description of Work: I bought an Angie's List Big Deal from this Company to install mulch for $99. I emailed and called them numerous times starting 5/13 asking for an appointment. On 5/20 I sent them an email complaining about their unresponsiveness and mentioned Angie's List. I got a call back the same day. An appointment was scheduled for 5/30 "before noon". At 1pm on 5/30 I emailed them that I cancel because they had not shown up or called. I got a call back right away. They say the appointment was "after noon". OK, whatever. He said, she said. I've been using Angie's List for years and years. I've hired lots and lots of contractors. Here's the point. These people obviously have done good work for some people. Maybe my case is just an aberration. Didn't seem like it to me, though. Seemed like they put out a really cheap promotion and, when it came time to deliver, they'd gotten too busy to follow through. That's understandable, sure. I've seen it enough times before to recognize it, but I still don't like it because I've got 3 yards of mulch in my driveway.
