Very professional and was able to book an appointment for next day. Labor was about 30 minutes and parts less than $100. I paid $750 for this :(

Great. Brooke answered the phone when I called and was very pleasant. We scheduled service for the next day, and Bill arrived right on time. He cleared the main line first (with jets) and then cleared the pipe under the bathroom sink. He was very quick and efficient, and a nice guy. I asked if we could get the Angie's 10% discount and he didn't hesitate. So having plumbing issues is never a good thing, but the team at McQuillan Bros. made everything go as smooth as we could have hoped. We would definitely use them again.

we had a broken pipe in the ceiling that is connected to our hot water boiler. the technician could not locate the pipe at first so my husband and i had to help him find it. he then quoted us a price of $700 to fix it saying that it was in a difficult spot and would be hard to access and would take time to fix. we reluctantly agreed to the price even though we thought it was a bit high. we then asked him if that included getting the air out of the pipes and resetting the water flow. he said that would cost us an additional $500. we called around and found another plummer who would do that for $180. when the technician presented us with the bill we were also charged $69 for the service call. he spent less then 1 and 1/2 hours with us- about 20 minutes to locate the pipe,about 25 minutes to run to the hardware store and about 30 minutes to fix the pipe. i feel that we were terribly overcharged. they do not charge by the hour they just have a set fee for all calls and then it goes up depending on the work. i called the office to complain and talked to maggie who offered us a 15% discount and she would also take of the service call cost. i still think that $600 is way too much to pay for the work we had done. we would never hire them again because of the expense.

no actual work. was more interested in upselling. He analyzed everything is bad and need replacement. (furnace/water heater). In his report he provided nothing but estimate of replacing.

My furnace was not working and they came out the first time and got it working. However, when I contact them the following week, because the furnace stopped working again. They were able to schedule me in their late (2-5pm) schedule. However, they had to charge me a service fee(which they should have not, since it was within the week), but I agreed to pay. But then I got a called right at 5pm saying that they can no longer come out at the $69 fee and had to charge me $199 for after hour fee - when they are the ones that were running late. I was at the house for 2 hours waiting for them as they were updating me that they were running behind. Unacceptable!!!!

My check was cashed Nov 23, 2016. I've never heard from them. I didn't even get a post card signifying that they will contact me at some future date to do the inspection - nothing - I'm still waiting - thank goodness, I haven't held my breath. This is not very professional - do you think????

We were very happy with McQuillan. They explained everything in detail but did not make assumptions about what we would or would not know. They talked with us professionally and followed up in a timely manner every time we contacted them. Unfortunately, as we were funding the boiler replacement with a loan from the city, we had to take multiple bids, and McQuillan was not selected by the city. They would have been our choice, as the level of service was worth the extra cost.

Tech offered to try a cheaper solution first and if it didn't hold up he would return and complete the more expensive fix for the cost difference between the two options. I appreciated that, it was a rental property and the cheaper fix did work.

They were fine. I wasn't at home, my husband was here.

The tune-up went very well and the furnace was in good shape and needed no further service.

I just got out of the way and let the plumbers do their work. I checked the work when they finished and I was happy to pay the amount charged including the Angie discount. I have always gotten good service from McQuillen's.850

The job took a while, but the technician was diligent, and hung in there till the drain was thoroughly clean. The office work and service were flawless.

The work was done very well. There were a couple of delays related to getting parts of the right size, but the inconvenience was minimal. They cleaned up really well and protected the new carpet in the basement perfectly.

It went ok. The person was good in identifying the problem, but not very clear on solution.

They were late and I feel they overcharged me.

It went well, I just thought it was very over priced after he had finished the work.

He replaced the shower valve. He tested the water. He did not look at the water softener because he said I needed a new water softener because after you take the salt out the softener it no longer works. The plumber said he did not charge me for the inspection and I told him I already paid for it through Angie's List, he was not familiar with how Angie's List worked.

The technician was very experienced. The repair was done perfectly. The service was accomplished on the same day I called. The total cost of the copper pipes (parts) was about $20. The repair took about 15-20 minutes. Everything was great; except that the cost of the work ended up being $125 higher than the other plumbers I called. I did not get a price estimate from McQuillan when I called for service. I assumed that Angie's List would be the same or cheaper than the other plumbing services.

Very fast and efficient. Found the source of the clog and removed it.

Plumber assessed the water issue at my rental home - there had been tenant complaints of low water pressure and discoloration after the recent installation of a water softener (done by a family member). McQuillan Bros was very prompt with scheduling a plumber for same day service, he was friendly, nice, seemed well informed/experienced, and explained the situation to me after assessing. He even replaced the showerhead for free with a brand new one he happened to have had on hand in his truck! Excellent, excellent. I wish I could remember his name...! He even put shoe covers over his work boots before coming inside - which I realize is a small gesture, but I have worked with repairmen/contractors in the past who make a mess coming into my tenants' place so this was a nice touch that I appreciated. It turned out to be a simple fix, but the responsiveness and friendly service will keep me coming back to them for future needs.

Matt was very quick to respond to an online RFP through Angie's List. He called right away to schedule a consultation. Many other companies responded as well but after looking at several independent review sites, we decided on McQuillan brothers. During the consultation, he walked us through all of the options. He did not try to sell us anything we did not need. He also gave us all of the financing options. On the day of the install, the crew showed up on time and ready to work. The work was completed in a clean, professional manner. After the install, Matt took the time to call to be sure that everything was working and that we were happy with the results. The entire process was easy, professional and fast. I would highly recommend McQuillan Brothers to any friends or family that need HVAC work done.

McQuillan Bros installed the boiler in 2008. I purchased the home in 2013. The pipes were starting to leak and show corrosion. Two other HVAC people told me the pipes needed to be replaced. I got two estimates in the $3500-$4000 range. I called McQuillan Bros, as they claim a life-time warranty on their craftsmanship. As it turns out, the warranty is only valid for the original owner/installer of the boiler system. They sent a quote for $3800. However, they wanted to keep me as a customer, so we struck a deal. Despite the warranty being void, they offered to fix the corroded pipes for $1750. I was pleased with their offer, as they weren't obligated to help me out. Either way, the pipes needed to be replaced. Even though I wasn't technically a former customer of theirs, I appreciated that they wanted to make me a future customer. I appreciate their integrity. Additionally, the two gentlemen who spend the day performing the repairs were great. They knew everything about the system, made great conversation, were respectful of the property, and stuck around to ensure there were no leaks anywhere in the system. Their work was impeccable. I will be using McQuillan Bros again in the future.

We called Charlie at 11:00pm for a boiler emergency. He gave us excellent advice and reassured us the boiler would be ok until the morning. Then he offered to come out first thing in the morning. He solved our problem and provided the most professional follow-up service to make sure the problem was indeed fixed. Excellent communication, professionalism, and we are thoroughly pleased. We wouldn't use any other company--- they are the BEST!
