Snelling Heating Cooling Electrical

Bob came out when he said he would and followed up with phone calls and notes. He measured the house and did an analysis of our cooling requirements. Our Lennox air conditioner is the quietest one on the market and priced better than competitors, which is what we were looking for. The team installed the new system in one afternoon and removed the old one.

We have been very pleased with their work, and would not hesitate to call them anytime.

I called the company at 8:00 AM and by 4:00 PM they had analyzed my old furnace, sold me a new one and had it up and running. The final work was completed the next day. Overall the process went better than I expected. The salesman seemed to be quite knowledgeable and didn't try to sell my something that I didn't need. He answered my questions appropriately.

Job 1: The blower on my furnace would continue to run indefinitely after the furnace shut off. Diagnosed the problem as a faulty circuit board and replaced it. Entire process took 15 minutes. Blower runs well now. Job 2: My furnace failed to work properly on the coldest day of the winter. I called them at 8:15 a.m. and they arrived at 9:15 a.m. and had it repaired and working again by 10:30 a.m.

I was very pleased with the whole process. First, I called their on-call technician on a Sunday, as that's when the motor began acting up and we were no longer receiving heat on one level of our home. I was able to reach someone immediately even though it was a Sunday. The on-call tech was very helpful and explained to me over the phone how to adjust a switch to allow heat to return to that level of the home. The following Monday, by which time the motor had died completely, I called to schedule a service call. The service tech who came out was very pleasant and worked quickly, letting me know up-front what needed to be done. He then took the time to answer additional questions I had. I will definitely call this company again for any heating or cooling work we need done.

My boiler pilot light kept going out, needing to be relit multiple times in a week, so I called the Snelling Co. to come look at it and fix the problem. After hearing I had not had any work done on the boiler since installation 12 years ago, their office person recommended I schedule a preventive maintenance visit to clean and service the system. So I did. I called at 5:45pm on Monday, and they were able to have a person out early the next morning. Mike arrived at the scheduled time (on the dot), and did a fine job. He was pleasant, and explained what he was doing. He told me how often I should check the system, and showed me how to drain the expansion tank. After he cleaned the boiler parts and tested them, he determined thermocouple was bad, and replaced it. He cleaned up when he was done, even taking the new part wrapper. He took about 75 minutes in all. The cost was exactly what I had been quoted over the phone. I was quite pleased with his work and promptness.

I was pleased to save almost $400 vs. another company's standard charge for this same work. The technician was willing to have me ask questions and gave me assurance that the furnace was working fine. He came on time and worked hard for over an hour, with me looking over and asking questions. He was familiar with the furnace and explained some of its idiosyncrasies to me. It was very nice to have the heat working right away the same day, as this happened just at the beginning of a two week spell of below zero temperatures.

The scheduler was very pleasant and worked around my schedule. The service technician was very knowledgeable and explained several features of the furnace and venting to me. He was able to make several adjustments (we felt the furnace was kicking in too much) and also checked several of the registers, fixing a couple other problems. He was here about two hours. Overall, the experience was great and I would use them again.

Bob was very patient. He answered general questions about heating and cooling for my house, gave me some ideas about using my wood burning stove more efficiently. I ended up deciding to wait to replace the a/c due to other priorities.

Staff was knowledgeable, but a little too pushy IMO. I knew what I wanted and needed, but the guy insisted on going over everything and tried to hard sell me on their company. Called me 3 times in the next couple weeks just to see if I had made a decision yet - again a little too pushy IMO. They were, however one of the better estimates I got, and were probably my #2 choice.

When I made the appointment over the phone, I was told the technician would be at my house between noon and 2 p.m. and that I would receive a call first. I was called at 11:15 to say he was on his way. He arrived at 11:30, was very courteous and friendly, and listened to my concerns about my furnace. I left him to work on the problem. He completed his work and told me what he had done. We settled the bill, and he left at noon.

The sales rep was very friendly and knowledgeable. He explained how our current system works and the differences with the new system. He went through all of his recommendations and gave me the costs for the parts and labor while at my house. We decided to wait on the furnace and water heater. We did not choose Snelling for the duct work because they were more expensive.

Sales rep Bob Weber did a great job with estimate. Asked lots of good questions and gave us thorough information about our heating system and the cleaning process. Felt like we learned a lot. Then 2 weeks later Rick and an assistant came to do the actual cleaning. We were not familiar with the furnace that we had (just moved) or with air duct cleaning. Snelling does a little different and more complete air duct cleaning than many other companies. Takes about 4 hours and then only needs to be done every 8-10 years. Pricing was very competitive with other bids we got. Rick was helpful, informational and courteous. Unfortunately they were 40 minutes late and no one called us to let us know that was happening. However, other than that, we were very happy with work.

They were excellent. They were confident in their decisions and judgment.

The work done was fabulous! They did very neat, clean and professional work. I will definately hire them again.

Bob came in to do an estimate. He was punctual and knowledgeable. He is very thorough. The only reason I did not go with Snelling was pricing. Even though the work was not done, the experience was positive.

The repairman who answered our service call was very efficient with clear explanations of our options. Our unit was 19 years old and would have needed extensive work. We decided to have his sales rep. come out, plus we called one other company to come out and diagnose/estimate repair or replacement. Both companies independently confirmed the diagnostic and gave similar bids on the new unit. Snelling was the most responsive in getting back to us, more clearly explained the specifications of the unit choices, and promised prompt installation, so we went with them. The salesman, Jon Prudhomme, was quick to get papers to us and to set up the installation for the next a.m. This all happened, of course, in the middle of July's relentless heatwave. The installers were here by 8:15 a.m. the next morning and had all work completed by ll:30 a.m. They were friendly and efficient and cleaned everything up beautifully. We are very pleased. The unit is working great, much to our relief.

Company had to reschedule appointment due to overscheduling.

They were very good. The price was a little higher that other estimates we received, but they did a good job and their clean up was excellent

Snelling's representative was prompt and courteous. The price proposal of $6500 was comparable with some of the other quotes we received, and the company was well-recommended by one of our neighbors. We decided to not go with this company because of the owner Phil Krinkie's politics (I worked on the light rail project.) Otherwise, they seemed pretty competent and qualified.

They were very helpful and professional. We plan on using them again.

I lived in my home for many years, and I have had the air ducts cleaned by a number of companies that charged $100 - $200. This time, I decided to have The Snelling Company do the cleaning. The serviceman arrived at the designated time. It took him 4 hours to do the cleaning. That is double the time spent by previous cleaners who came with two servicemen. The difference in the air exchange was phenomenal. The house has warmed much faster this winter, so the furnace is not running as long. I am definitely going to call on The Snelling Company when I have the system cleaned again. The $500 spent turned out to be worth every penny.

AFTER RESEARCH ON THE PROCESS AND ON ANGIE'S LIST, I NARROWED MY CHOICE TO SNELLING CO AND GROENS VACU-MAN, AS BOTH HAVE GOOD RATINGS AND SNELLING IS VERY CLOSE TO MY HOME. THIS COMPANY WAS VERY GOOD ABOUT RETURNING MY CALL AND THE GENTLEMAN WHO CALLED WAS VERY PLEASANT, BUT A MISSED CALL ON A FRIDAY. AND A PAPERWORK SNAFU MADE FOR A TIME CRUNCH AND I SELECTED GORNS VACU-MAN.

I CONTACTED SNELLING TO GET AN ESTIMATE FOR A GARAGE HEATER IN EARLY OCTOBER. SEVERAL DAYS AFTER I CALLED I GOT A CALL BACK FROM A SALESPERSON AND WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9:00 A.M. ON OCTOBER 7. ON OCTOBER 7 I GOT A CALL FROM THE SALESPERSON AT ABOUT 8:45 INDICATING THAT HE WAS RUNNING LATE. THE SALESPERSON FINALLY ARRIVED AT JUST AFTER 9:30 A.M. HE LOOKED OVER THE HOUSE AND GARAGE AND TOOK PHOTOS. HE SUGGESTED THAT THE GAS LINE TO THE HOUSE MAY NEED TO BE LARGER SO HE SAID HE NEEDED TO TALK TO OTHERS AT THE SHOP AND THEN HE WOULD WORK UP AN ESTIMATE. IT IS NOW OCT 31 AND I HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE YET.

THE SALESMAN VISITED TWICE AND ARRIVED PROMPTLY EACH TIME. ALTHOUGH I DID MY OWN RESEARCH AND HAD A GOOD IDEA OF WHAT I WANTED, THE SALESMAN DID NOT PUSH ANYTHING ON ME. MY OLD CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM WAS 24 YEARS OLD AND HAD 24,000 BTUS OF COOLING CAPACITY. BASED ON MY RESEARCH AND THEIR EXPERIENCE, WE DECIDED TO INCREASE THE SIZE OF THE NEW SYSTEM TO 30,000 BTUS. THE INSTALLER ARRIVED ON SCHEDULE AND THE INSTALLATION WENT SMOOTHLY, LASTING ABOUT FOUR HOURS. THE NEW SYSTEM HAS BEEN WORKING WELL AND I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS. OVERALL, A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE.
